In this paper, we study the evolution of hypersurface moving by the mean curvature minus an external force field. It is shown that the flow will blow up in a finite time if the mean curvature of the initial surface is larger than some constant depending on the boundness of derivatives of the external force field. For a linear force, we prove that the convexity of the hypersurface is preserved during the evolution and the flow has a unique smooth solution in any finite time and expands to infinity as the time tends to infinity if the initial curvature is smaller than the slope of the force.  相似文献

考虑由曲率函数和外力场之差支配的凸超曲面的发展.证明了外力场为常向量场时,初始超曲面的凸性是保持的,且曲率流在有限时间内爆破.对于线性外力场,初始超曲面的凸性保持.而且,若线性常数为负数,则曲率流在有限时间内收敛到一点;若线性常数为正数且初始曲率小于某一与外力场有关的常数,则曲率流光滑地存在于任意有限时间区间,并发散到无穷;若线性常数为正数且初始曲率大于某一与外力场有关的常数,则曲率流在有限时间内爆破.  相似文献

By the using of determinantal varieties from moduli algebras of hypersurface singularites the relation of the deformation of hypersurface singularities and the deformation of their moduli algebras is studied. For a type of hypersurface singularities a weak Torelli type result is proved. This weak Torelli type result showes that for families of hypersurface singularities the moduli algebras can be used to distinguish the complex structures of singularities at least in some weak sence. We study the singular set of a singular Levi-flat real-analytic hypersurface. We prove that the singular set of such a hypersurface is Levi-flat in the appropriate sense. We also show that if the singular set is small enough, then the Levi-foliation extends to a singular codimension one holomorphic foliation of a neighborhood of the hypersurface.  相似文献

We study the influence of a unit Killing vector field on the geometry of a hypersurface in the unit sphere. The combination of the Killing vector field on the hypersurface and the conformal vector field on the ambient sphere triggers the presence of four specific smooth functions on the hypersurface, we use these four functions to derive different sufficient conditions for a hypersurface to be the totally geodesic sphere and for a minimal hypersurface to be the totally geodesic sphere, Clifford minimal hypersurface respectively. In particular we classify compact minimal hypersurfaces with a unit Killing vector field in the unit sphere.  相似文献

The problem of determining the Bonnet hypersurfaces in R n+1, for n > 1, is studied here. These hypersurfaces are by definition those that can be isometrically mapped to another hypersurface or to itself (as locus) by at least one nontrivial isometry preserving the mean curvature. The other hypersurface and/or (the locus of) itself is called Bonnet associate of the initial hypersurface. The orthogonal net which is called A-net is special and very important for our study and it is described on a hypersurface. It is proved that, non-minimal hypersurface in R n+1 with no umbilical points is a Bonnet hypersurface if and only if it has an A-net.  相似文献

We prove the following stronger version of the positivity of quasi-local energy (mass) stated by Liu and Yau: the quasi-local energy of each connected component of the boundary of a compact spacelike hypersurface which satisfies the local energy condition is strictly positive unless the spacetime is flat along the spacelike hypersurface and the boundary of the spacelike hypersurface is connected.

We describe the behavior of certain strictly plurisubharmonic functions near some real hypersurfaces in ℂ n , n≥3. Given a hypersurface we study continuous plurisubharmonic functions which are zero on the hypersurface and have Monge–Ampère mass greater than one in a one-sided neighborhood of the hypersurface. If we can find complex curves which have sufficiently high contact order with the hypersurface then the plurisubharmonic functions we study cannot be globally Lipschitz in the one-sided neighborhood.  相似文献

We study the topology of the boundary manifold of a regular neighborhood of a complex projective hypersurface. We show that, under certain Hodge-theoretic conditions, the cohomology ring of the complement of the hypersurface functorially determines that of the boundary. When the hypersurface defines a hyperplane arrangement, the cohomology of the boundary is completely determined by the combinatorics of the underlying arrangement and the ambient dimension. We also study the LS category and topological complexity of the boundary manifold, as well as the resonance varieties of its cohomology ring.  相似文献

Our purpose is to apply appropriate generalized maximum principles in order to study the unicity of complete hypersurfaces immersed in a semi-Riemannian warped product, which is supposed to obey a suitable convergence condition. We give a rigorous proof of the positive mass theorem for high-dimensional spacetimes with black holes if the spacetime contains an asymptotically flat spacelike spin hypersurface and satisfies the dominant energy condition along the hypersurface. We also weaken the spin structure on the spacelike hypersurface to spinc structure and give a modified positive mass theorem for spacetimes with black holes in dimensions 4, 5 and 6.  相似文献
