Finite sums of Toeplitz products on the Dirichlet space

On the Dirichlet space of the unit disk, we consider a class of operators which contain finite sums of products of two Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols. We give characterizations of when an operator in that class is zero or compact. Also, we solve the zero product problem for products of finitely many Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols.

In this paper, we study the commutativity of Toeplitz operators with radial symbols on the pluriharmonic Bergman space. We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the commutativity of bounded Toeplitz operator and Toeplitz operator with radial symbol on the pluriharmonic Bergman space.     

The finite sum of finite products of Toeplitz operators on the polydisk

A limit theorem is established for a finite sum of finite products of Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space of the polydisk. As a consequence we show that the product of six Toeplitz operators with pluriharmonic symbols is compact iff the product equals zero iff one of these Toeplitz operators equals zero.

Expansion of the boundaries of the solutions of the linear Volterra integral equations with convolution kernel

We solve a certain differential equation and system of integral equations. As applications, we characterize holomorphic symbols of commuting Toeplitz operators on the pluriharmonic Bergman space. In addition, pluriharmonic symbols of normal Toeplitz operators are characterized. Also, zero semi-commutators for certain classes of Toeplitz operators are characterized.This research is partially supported by KOSEF(98-0701-03-01-5).

Algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators on the Dirichlet space

We study some algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators on the Dirichlet space. We first characterize (semi-)commuting Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols. Next we study the product problem of when product of two Toeplitz operators is another Toeplitz operator. As an application, we show that the zero product of two Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbol has only a trivial solution. Also, the corresponding compact product problem is studied.

In this paper, we investigate the Toeplitz operators with positive measure symbols on the Bergman spaces of bounded multi-connected domains and show that a Toeplitz operator is bounded or compact if and only if the symbol measure is a Carleson or vanishing Carleson measure respectively.

Positive Toeplitz operators between the pluriharmonic Bergman spaces

We study Toeplitz operators between the pluriharmonic Bergman spaces for positive symbols on the ball. We give characterizations of bounded and compact Toeplitz operators taking a pluriharmonic Bergman space b ^p into another b ^q for 1 < p, q < ∞ in terms of certain Carleson and vanishing Carleson measures. In this paper, we study some algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators with quasihomogeneous symbols on the Dirichlet space of the unit ball Bn. First, we describe commutators of a radial Toeplitz operator and characterize commuting Toeplitz operators with quasihomogeneous symbols. Then we show that finite raak product of such operators only happens in the trivial case. Finally, some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the product of two quasihomogeneous Toeplitz operators to be a quasihomogeneous Toeplitz operator.

Compact Toeplitz operators on the Segal-Bargmann space

In this note, we show that Miao and Zheng's characterization of compact operators on the Bergman space of the unit disk that are finite sums of finite products of Toeplitz operators (with each one of the symbols belonging to BT) also holds for the Segal-Bargmann space of Cn.

Commuting Quasihomogeneous Toeplitz Operators on the Harmonic Bergman Space

In this paper, we obtain a symmetry number for the commutator of quasihomogeneous Toeplitz operators on the harmonic Bergman space. Then we use it to characterize the commuting Toeplitz operators with quasihomogeneous symbols. Also, we show that a Toeplitz operator with an analytic or co-analytic monomial symbol commutes with another Toeplitz operator only in the trivial case.
