In this paper, we improve and extend the classical Favard's theorems, i.e. Favard's theorem of the module containment, Favard's theorem of linear differential equations. We study Favard's theory of linear differential equations with piecewise constant argument. An example shows that the new module containment is necessary in the study of differential equations with piecewise constant argument. The equivalence between almost automorphic functions and N-almost periodic ones is studied.  相似文献

We study the spectrum containment of almost periodic solution to second order differential equations with piecewise constant argument. Some known (periodic, quasi-periodic) results would be expanded. As a corollary, it is shown that such equations with periodic perturbations possess a quasi-periodic solution and no periodic solution. This phenomena is due to the piecewise constant argument. The results are extended to nonlinear equations.  相似文献

We study the spectrum containment of almost periodic solution to neutral delay differential equations with piecewise constant argument (EPCA, for short). We find an important property, which is different from that given by Cartwright for ordinary differential equations (ODE). Some known (periodic solution) results would be expanded. As a corollary, it is shown that EPCA with periodic perturbations possess a quasi-periodic solution and no periodic solution. This new phenomenon is due to the piecewise constant argument and illustrates a crucial difference between ODE and EPCA.  相似文献

This paper is concentrated on giving a module containment theorem for piecewise continuous almost periodic functions (pcap function for short). One first analyses the relationship between the translation number set and some Fourier exponents of a pcap function. And then, combining with Kronecker’s theorem, a module containment theorem for a pcap function is established for the first time. As an application, the module structure of a pcap solution for an impulsive differential equation is characterized. Some remarks and a corollary are given to show the advantage of the module containment theorem.  相似文献

The study of functional differential equations with piecewise constant arguments usually results in a study of certain related difference equations. In this paper we consider certain neutral functional differential equations of this type and the associated difference equations. We give conditions under which such equations with almost periodic time dependence will have unique almost periodic solutions, and for certain autonomous cases, we obtain certain stability results and also conditions for chaotic behavior of solutions. We are particularly concerned with such equations which are partially discretized versions of non-forced Duffing equations.  相似文献
