The self-assemblies of a newly designed star-shaped molecule end-capped with bromine atoms studied by scanning tunneling microscopy

A new star-shaped molecule StOF-Br_3 containing oligofluorenes and halogen atoms(Bromine) has been synthesized and studied by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy(STM) at the highly oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG) surface.We have obtained the high-resolution self-assembled STM images,from which the highly ordered and closely packed non-porous arrangements of the StOF-Br_3 molecular selfassemblies at the heptanoic acid/HOPG surface could be observed.The molecular models and selfassembled StOF-Br_3 architectures have been given in the following text.Besides,we have also figured out the surface free energy by the density functional theory(DFT) calculation,which proved that the halogen...halogen interaction was strong enough to stabilize the ordered molecular self-assemblies.This work verifies the existence of bromine...bromine interactions,and meanwhile provides a kind of effective approach for quickly building ordered molecular nanoarchitectures with large areas and different geometries.     

Selective adsorption behaviors of guest molecules COR in the hexamer host networks at liquid/solid interface

Here,the selective adsorption behaviors of guest molecule COR in two hexamer host grids were investigated by means of scanning tunnelling microscope(STM).The assembled structures of small functional organic molecules TTBTA and TATBA were thermodynamically stable.Interestingly,the introduction of the guest molecule COR destroyed the original hexamer structure of TTBTA and combined with it to form a new triangular host-guest system.Different from TTBTA,the introduction of the guest molecule COR did not affect the six-membered ring structure of TATBA.Furthermore,the co-assembly structure of TTBTA/TATBA/COR was established and the guest molecule COR showed preferential adsorption to the TATBA host grid.Density functional theory(DFT) calculations had been performed to disclose the mechanism of the involved assemblies.     

An Approximate Expression for the Degree of Counterion Binding of Dressed Micelles

A simple formula for calculating the degree of counterion binding of dressed micelles is presented. This approximate expression for the spherical micelle is derived from the extending Langmuir's method in the case of high surface potentials. It works quite well for the estimation of the degree of counterion binding of micelles. The simple form is very convenient for practical use.     

A spirocyclic oxindole analogue:Synthesis and antitumor activities

A new synthesis of spirocyclic oxindole analogue spiro[piperidine-4,3’-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin]-2’（1’H）-one 1 is described.The key steps involve dialkylation of arylacetonitrile and cyclization of the azaoxindole ring by an intramolecular Buchwald-Hartwig amidation of carboxylic ami Je and aryl chloride.A small library was obtained by reductive amination of 1 with various aldehydes and was screened against human lung cancer cell A549,human liver cancer cell BEL7402,and human colon cancer cell HCT-8.The results show that most of the 1（?）rary compounds 2 have some inhibitory activities.2-（Trifluoromethoxy） benzylic substituted spirocyclic azaoxindole 2e was identified as a nanomolar inhibitor against human lung cancer cell A-549(IC₅₀=50 nmol/L).

Two new bromoindoles from red alga Laurencia similis

Two new bromoindole alkaloids have been isolated from the ethanolic extract of the red alga Laurencia similis.On the basis of chemical and spectroscopic methods(including 1D and 2D NMR technique),their structures have been elucidated as 2,2′,5,5′,6,6′-sixibromo -3,3′-bi-1H-indole and 3,5-dibromo-1-methylindole,respectively.     

新型BrΦnsted-Lewis酸性离子液体的合成及其在松香二聚反应中的应用(英文)

合成、表征了新型 Brφnsted-Lewis 酸性离子液体 1-（3-磺酸）-丙基-3-甲基咪唑氯锌酸盐 （[HO3S-（CH2）3-mim]Cl-ZnCl2）, 并将其用于催化松香二聚反应. 结果表明, [HO3S-（CH2）3-mim]Cl-ZnCl2 （ZnCl2摩尔分数x 〉 0.5）为 Brφnsted 和 Lewis 双酸性, 且以 [HO3S-（CH2）3-mim]Cl-ZnCl2 （x = 0.64） 的催化性能较佳. 在松香 5.0 g, 甲苯15 g, 离子液体质量分数 5%, 反应温度 110℃ 和反应时间 4 h 的较佳实验条件下, 所得产物聚合松香的软化点为 118 ℃. 此外, 该催化剂的使用有利于产物的分离且分离的离子液体催化剂具有良好的重复使用性能.
