In this paper, we discuss the controllability of a nonlinear degenerate parabolic system with bilinear control. Based on the shrinking property of the solutions, we prove that the system is not globally approximately controllable. Furthermore, we give an approximate null controllability result. We study the controllability
properties of a nonlinear parabolic system that models the
temperature evolution of a one-dimensional thermoelastic rod that
may come into contact with a rigid obstacle. Basically the system
dynamics is described by a one-dimensional nonlocal heat equation
with a nonlinear and nonlocal boundary condition of Newmann type.
We focus on the control problem and treat the case when the
control is distributed over the whole space domain. In this case
the system is proved to be exactly null controllable provided the
parameters of the system are smooth.
The proof is based on changing the control variable and using
Aubins Compactness Lemma to obtain an invariant set for the
linearized controllability map. Then, by proving that the found
solution is sufficiently smooth, we get the null controllability for

This paper is addressed to showing the existence of insensitizing controls for a class of quasilinear parabolic equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. As usual, this insensitizing problem is reduced to a nonstandard null controllability problem of some nonlinear cascade system governed by a quasilinear parabolic equation and a linear parabolic equation. Nevertheless, in order to solve the later quasilinear controllability problem by the fixed point technique, we need to establish the null controllability of the linearized cascade parabolic system in the framework of classical solutions. The article concerns output controllability and optimal output control of positive fractional order discrete linear systems with multiple delays in state, input and output. Necessary and sufficient conditions for output reachability (output controllability from zero initial conditions) and null output controllability (output controllability to zero final output) are given and proven. We also prove that the positive system is output controllable if it is output reachable and null output controllable with the output reachability index is equal or less than the null output controllability index. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the optimal output control problem are given. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the theoretical results. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the null controllability of a class of Newtonian filtration equations. Using the properties of finite extinction time and finite speed of propagation, we construct a control function in feedback form, such that system is exactly null controllable at any time T>0. If we put a nonnegative constraint on the control function, this system is not exactly null controllable any more, but approximately null controllable for a long time. 相似文献

In this paper we analyze the approximate and null controllability of the classical heat equation with nonlinear boundary conditions of the form and distributed controls, with support in a small set. We show that, when the function f is globally Lipschitz-continuous, the system is approximately controllable. We also show that the system is locally null controllable and null controllable for large time when f is regular enough and f(0)=0. For the proofs of these assertions, we use controllability results for similar linear problems and appropriate fixed point arguments. In the case of the local and large time null controllability results, the arguments are rather technical, since they need (among other things) Hölder estimates for the control and the state. 相似文献
