In this paper, we consider Carlson type inequalities and discuss their possible improvement. First, we obtain two different types of generalizations of discrete Carlson's inequality by using the Hlder inequality and the method of real analysis, then we combine the obtained results with a summation formula of infinite series and some Mathieu type inequalities to establish some improvements of discrete Carlson's inequality and some Carlson type inequalities which are equivalent to the Mathieu type inequalities. Finally, we prove an integral inequality that enables us to deduce an improvement of the Nagy-Hardy-Carlson inequality.

Using theory of distance geometry and analytic method, the problem on relations about the volumes of some simplices is studied, and some new inequalities for the volumes of simplices are established. As special cases, an inequality for the volume of the pedal simplex of a simplex and other inequalities for simplices are gotten.     

Poincar and Weak Poincar Inequalities for the Mixed Poisson Measure

By using the Mecke identity, we study a class of birth-death type Dirichlet forms associated with the mixed Poisson measure. Both Poincar and weak Poincar inequalities are established, while another Poincar type inequality is disproved under some reasonable assumptions.     

Hardy-Rellich Type Inequalities Associated with Dunkl Operators

In this paper, the authors obtain the Dunkl analogy of classical L~p Hardy inequality for p>N+2γ with sharp constant((p-N-2γ)/p)~p, where 2γ is the degree of weight function associated with Dunkl operators, and L pHardy inequalities with distant function in some G-invariant domains. Moreover they prove two Hardy-Rellich type inequalities for Dunkl operators.

In this paper we prove the strong unique continuation property for a class of fourth order elliptic equations involving strongly singular potentials.Our argument is to establish some Hardy-Rellich type inequalities with boundary terms and introduce an Almgren’s type frequency function to show some doubling conditions for the solutions to the above-mentioned equations.

Exponential generalizations of Newman's inequality and Klamkin's inequality are established by the Wang Wan-lan's inequality, and they are extended to the cases involving general elementary symmetric functions. As an application, some new inequalities for a simplex are established. In addition, an open problem is posed.     

DOOB’S MAXIMAL INEQUALITIES FOR MARTINGALES IN VARIABLE LEBESGUE SPACE

In this paper we deal with the martingales in variable Lebesgue space over a probability space.We first prove several basic inequalities for conditional expectation operators and give several norm convergence conditions for martingales in variable Lebesgue space.The main aim of this paper is to investigate the boundedness of weak-type and strong-type Doob’s maximal operators in martingale Lebesgue space with a variable exponent.In particular,we present two kinds of weak-type Doob’s maximal inequalities and some necessary and sufficient conditions for strong-type Doob’s maximal inequalities.Finally,we provide two counterexamples to show that the strong-type inequality does not hold in general variable Lebesgue spaces with p>1.

In this article, by means of the theory of majorization, Adamovic's inequality is extended to the cases of the general elementary symmetric functions and its duals, and the refined and reversed forms are also given. As applications, some new inequalities for simplex are established.     

A FOUR-WEIGHT WEAK TYPE MAXIMAL INEQUALITY FOR MARTINGALES

In this article, some necessary and sufficient conditions are shown in order that weighted inequality of the form ■holds a.e. for uniformly integrable martingales f =(f_n)n≥0 with some constant C 0,where Φ_1,Φ_2 are Young functions, w_i(i = 1,2,3, 4) are weights, f~* =sup n≥0 |f_n| and f_∞=lim n→∞ f_n a.e. As an application, two-weight weak type maximal inequalities of martingales are considered, and particularly a new equivalence condition is presented.     

BOUNDARY ELEMENT APPROXIMATION OF THE SEMI-DISCRETE PARABOLIC VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES OF THE SECOND KIND

The boundary element approximation of the parabolic variational inequalities of the second kind is discussed. First, the parabolic variational inequalities of the second kind can be reduced to an elliptic variational inequality by using semidiscretization and implicit method in time; then the existence and uniqueness for the solution of nonlinear non-differentiable mixed variational inequality is discussed. Its corresponding mixed boundary variational inequality and the existence and uniqueness of its solution are yielded. This provides the theoretical basis for using boundary element method to solve the mixed vuriational inequality.

In this paper,we study some functional inequalities(such as Poincaré inequality,logarithmic Sobolev inequality,generalized Cheeger isoperimetric inequality,transportation-information inequality and transportation-entropy inequality) for reversible nearest-neighbor Markov processes on connected finite graphs by means of(random) path method.We provide estimates of the involved constants.

MATRIX NORM VERSIONS OF THE KANTOROVICH INEQUALITY AND ITS APPLICATIONS

In this paper we discuss the generalizations of the Kantorovich inequality and obtain some generalized Kantorovich inequalities in the sense of matrix norm. We further illustrate how to use these inequalities to determine the lower bound of relative efficiency of the parameter estimate in linear model.

The study of symmetric property in the L^2-sense for the non-positive definite operator is motivated by the theory of probability and analysis. This paper presents some sufficient conditions for the existence of symmetric measure for Lévy type operator. Some new examples are illustrated. The present study is an important step for considering various ergodic properties and functional inequalities of Lévy type operator.

In this paper, some properties of mixed intersection bodies are given, and inequalities from the dual Brunn-Minkowski theory (such as the dual Minkowski inequality, the dual Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequalities and the dual Brunn-Minkowski inequalities) are established for mixed intersection bodies.     

Translative containment measure and symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequalities

We first investigate the translative containment measure for convex domain K0 to contain, or to be contained in, the homothetic copy of another convex domain K1, i.e., given two convex domains K0, K1 of areas A0, A1, respectively, in the Euclidean plane R2, is there a translation T so that t(T K1)  K0 or t(T K1) ? K0 for t 0? Via the translative kinematic formulas of Poincar′e and Blaschke in integral geometry,we estimate the symmetric mixed isohomothetic deficit σ2(K0, K1) ≡ A201- A0A1, where A01 is the mixed area of K0 and K1. We obtain a sufficient condition for K0 to contain, or to be contained in, t(T K1). We obtain some Bonnesen-style symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequalities and reverse Bonnesen-style symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequalities. These symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequalities obtained are known as Bonnesen-style isopermetric inequalities and reverse Bonnesen-style isopermetric inequalities if one of domains is a disc. As direct consequences, we obtain some inequalities that strengthen the known Minkowski inequality for mixed areas and the Bonnesen-Blaschke-Flanders inequality.
