本文讨论Artin模的自同态环何时为半完全环的问题.对于Artin模MR,本文证明了:(1)若M是非单的直和不可分解模,则socM为见的小子模;(2)对任意Artin模M及任意Artin半单模L,EndR(ML)为半完全环的充要条件为EndR(M)是半完全环.本文还证明了(直和不可分解的)拟投射Artin模的自同态环为(局部环)半准素环.而对于非零的Artin投射模P,“P直和不可分解”等价于“P和不可分解”.  相似文献

In [9] a local homology theory for Artinian modules over commutative rings, which is dual to the local cohomology theory for Noetherian modules, introduced and in [1] the main result of [9] extended. We introduce and study the concept of dual perfect dimension which is a Krull-like dimension extension of the concept of acc on finitely generated submodules. We observe some basic facts for modules with this dimension, which are similar to the basic properties of modules with Noetherian dimension. For Artinian serial modules, we show that these two dimensions coincide. Consequently, we prove that the Noetherian dimension of non-Noetherian Artinian serial modules over the rings of the title is 1.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper we extend a well-known characterization of unital Artinian serial rings to the analagous class of rings with local units. In particular we characterize locally Artinian serial rings as those in which every finitely generated module or every finitely cogenerated module is uniserial. Additionally, we show that the entire characterization does not extend, as there exist locally Artinian serial rings that have non-serial modules.  相似文献

This article investigates isomorphisms between certain subgroups of the projective unitary groups of hermitian modules over semisimple Artinian rings with anti-structures. These subgroups contain the commutator subgroups of the projective unitary groups. Specifically, the article provides conditions under which these isomorphisms are induced by and the underlying rings are connected by hermitian Morita equivalences (HMEs). This article introduces the hyperbolic length of a module as well as the concept of generalized hyperbolic modules over simple Artinian rings, and over semisimple Artinian rings with anti-structures. The article shows that the stated isomorphisms are induced by HMEs if all the following conditions hold: (a) the hermitian forms are nonsingular and trace valued; (b) the modules in question are generalized hyperbolic; (c) the hyperbolic length equals three or is greater than or equal to five (hyperbolic length is greater than or equal to five in the semisimple case). Significantly, the condition of the hyperbolic length of a module greater than or equal to m is satisfied by a set of modules larger than or equal to those satisfying the condition of the Witt index of the module greater than or equal to m.  相似文献

Let R be a ring (always understood to be associative with aunit element 1). It is well known that an R-module is Noetherianif and only if all its submodules are finitely generated andthat it has a finite composition series if and only if it isNoetherian and Artinian. This raises the question whether everyfinitely generated Artinian module is Noetherian; here it isenough to consider cyclic Artinian modules, by an inductionon the length. This question has been answered (negatively)by Brian Hartley [5], who gives a construction of an Artinianuniserial module of uncountable composition-length over thegroup algebra of a free group of countable rank. If we are justinterested in finding cyclic modules that are Artinian but notNoetherian, there is a very simple construction based on thefact that over a free algebra every countably generated Artinianmodule can be embedded in a cyclic module which is again Artinian.This is described in 2 below.  相似文献

A property of rings generalizing commutativity is introduced. If a ring satisfies this property, then the Krull--Schmidt theorem holds for Artinian modules over the ring. In particular, this property is fulfilled for local rings of finite rank and for rings such that their centers are surjectively mapped by the natural projection onto the factor with respect to the radical of the ring. A local ring for which the property fails is constructed; for the direct decompositions of Artinian modules over this ring there appear anomalies similar to the anomalies of direct decompositions of torsion-free Abelian groups of finite rank. It is proven that every commutative ring whose RD-injective modules are Σ-RD- injective is the product of a pure semisimple ring and a finite ring. A complete characterization of commutative rings for which each Artinian (respectively simple) module is RD-injective, is given. These rescan be obtained by using the properties of RD-flat modules and RD-coflat modules which are respectively the RD-relativization of flat modules and fp-injective modules. It is also shown that a commutative ring is perfect if and only if each RD-flat module is RD-projective.  相似文献
