An m-cycle system of order v and index λ, denoted by m-CS(v,λ), is a collection of cycles of length m whose edges partition the edges of λKv. An m-CS(v,λ) is α-resolvable if its cycles can be partitioned into classes such that each point of the design occurs in precisely α cycles in each class. The necessary conditions for the existence of such a design are m|λv(v-1)/2,2|λ(v -1),m|αv,α|λ(v-1)/2. It is shown in this paper that these conditions are also sufficient when m = 4.  相似文献

An outpath of a vertex v in a digraph is a path starting at v such that v dominates the end vertex of the path only if the end vertex also dominates v.First we show that letting D be a strongly connected semicomplete c-partite digraph (c≥3)1 and one of the partite sets of it consists of a single vertex, say v, then D has a c-pancyclic partial ordering from v, which generalizes a result about pancyclicity of multipartite tournaments obtained by Gutin in 1993.Then we prove that letting D be a strongly connected semicomplete c-partite digraph with c≥3 and letting v be a vertex of D,then Dhas a(c-1)-pan-outpath partly ordering from v.This result improves a theorem about outpaths in semicomplete multipartite digraphs obtained by Guo in 1999.  相似文献

Let χ : G→ F* be a 1- dimensional representation of G. In this article we show that χ(g) = (detg)α(0 ≤ α ≤ r - 1), where g ∈ G and r is the order of g. We consider Laguerre polynomials $L_n^{(\alpha_n)}(nz)$ with varying negative parameters $\alpha_n$, such that the limit $A = -\!\lim_n \alpha_n/n$ exists and belongs to $(0,1)$. For $A > 1$, it is known that the zeros accumulate along an open contour in the complex plane. For every $A \in (0,1)$, we describe a one-parameter family of possible limit sets of the zeros. Under the condition that the limit $r= - \!\lim_n {1}/{n} \log [\dist\!(\alpha_n, \mbox{\footnotesize{\bf Z}})]$ exists, we show that the zeros accumulate on $\Gamma_r \cup [\beta_1,\beta_2]$ with $\beta_1$ and $\beta_2$ only depending on $A$. For $r \in [0,\infty)$, $\Gamma_r$ is a closed loop encircling the origin, which for $r = +\infty$, reduces to the origin. This shows a great sensitivity of the zeros to $\alpha_n$s proximity to the integers. We use a Riemann–Hilbert formulation for the Laguerre polynomials, together with the steepest descent method of Deift and Zhou to obtain asymptotics for the polynomials, from which the zero behavior follows.  相似文献

We prove that the realization $A_p$ of ${\cal A}$, equipped with suitable nonlinear boundary conditions is an m-dissipative operator in suitably weighted $L^p(\Omega)$-spaces in the case where either $(p,N)\in (1,+\infty)\times\{1\}$ or $(p,N)=\{2\}\times\N$. Moreover, we prove that $A_p$ is a densely defined closed operator. We consider nonlinear boundary conditions of the following type: in the one dimensional case we take $\Omega=(0,1)$ and we assume that $u(j)=(-1)^j\beta_j(u(j))$ ($j=0,1$), $\beta_0$ and $\beta_1$ being nondecreasing continuous functions in $\R$ such that $\beta_0(0)=\beta_1(0)=0$; in the $N$-dimensional setting we assume that $(D_{\nu}u)_{|\partial\Omega}=-\beta(u_{|\partial\Omega})$, $\beta$ being a nondecreasing Lipschitz continuous function in $\R$ such that $\beta(0)=0$.
