In this paper, an optimal control problem of non-linear Volterra systems $x(\cdot)=h(t)+\int_0^t G(t,s)f(s,x(s),u(s))ds$ on Banach space X with a general cost functional $Q(u(\cdot)) = \int_0^T J(s,x(s,u(\cdot)),u(s))ds$ is discussed, where $G(t,s)\in \varphi(X)$ is strongly continuous in (t, s), h(\cdot)\in C([0,T],G),f(s,x,u):[0,T]*X*U \rightarrow X and J (s, x, u) : [0, T] *X*U \rightarrow R. The control region U is an arbitrary set in a Banach space. Under some other assumptions of f and J, we have proved the following Theorem. The optimal control u^*(\cdot) of the above problem satisfies max $H(t,u)=H(t,u^*(t))$ for a.e.t\in [0,T], Where $H(t,u)=-J(t,x^*(t),u)+(\phi(t),f(t,x^*(t),u))$, $\phi(t)=\int_t^T J_x(s,x^*(s),u^*(s))U(s,t)ds$ and $x^*(t)=x(t,u^*(\cdot)),U(s,t)\in \phi(X)$ is the solution of $U(s,t)=G(s,t)+\int _t^s G(s,w)f_x(w,x^*(w),u^*(w))U(w,t)dw$. Let X be a compact metric space and T:X-→X be continuous.Let h*(T)be the supremum of topological sequence entropies of T over all the subsequences of Z+and S(X)be the set of the values h*(T)for all the continuous maps T on X.It is known that{0}■S(X)■{0,log 2,log 3,...}∪{∞}.Only three possibilities for S(X)have been observed so far,namely S(X)={0},S(X)={0,log 2,∞}and S(X)={0,log 2,log 3,...}∪{∞}.In this paper we completely solve the problem of finding all possibilities for S(X)by showing that in fact for every set{0}?A?{0,log 2,log 3,...}∪{∞}there exists a one-dimensional continuum XAwith S(XA)=A.In the construction of XAwe use Cook continua.This is apparently the first application of these very rigid continua in dynamics.We further show that the same result is true if one considers only homeomorphisms rather than continuous maps.The problem for group actions is also addressed.For some class of group actions(by homeomorphisms)we provide an analogous result,but in full generality this problem remains open.  相似文献

Let X be a noncompact discrete metric space with bounded geometry. Associated with X are two C*-algebras, the so-called uniform Roe algebra B*(X) and coarse Roe algebra C*(X), which arose from the index theory on noncompact complete Riemannian manifolds. In this paper, we describe the quasidiagonality of B*(X) and C*(X) in terms of coarse geometric invariants. Some necessary and suficient conditions are given, which involve the Fredholm index and coarse connectedness of metric spaces.  相似文献

A quasisymmetric homeomorphism of the unit circle S1 is called integrably asymptotic affine if it admits a quasiconformal extension into the unit disk so that its complex dilatation is square integrable in the Poincar metric on the unit disk. Let QS*(S1) be the space of such maps. Here we give some characterizations and properties of maps in QS(S1). We also show that QS*(S1)/M(O)b(S1) is the completion of Diff(S1)/M(O)b(S1) in the Weil-Petersson metric.  相似文献
