Non-existence of positive radial solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic system

In this paper, our main purpose is to establish some nonexistence results of positive radial solutions to the quasilinear ordinary differential equation system. The main results of the present paper are new and extend the previously known results.

Existence and nonexistence of blow-up solutions for a Schrödinger equation involving a nonlinear operator

By introducing a growth condition and using an iterative technique, we establish the results for the nonexistence and existence of positive entire blow-up solutions for a Schrödinger equation involving a nonlinear operator. Our main results improve and extend some existing works. In addition, we also give an example to illustrate our results.     

Positive periodic solutions of impulsive functional differential equations

We study the existence and nonexistence of positive periodic solutions of a non-autonomous functional differential equation with impulses. The equations we study may be of delay, advance or mixed type functional differential equations and the impulses may cause the existence of positive periodic solutions. The methods employed are fixed-point index theorem, Leray-Schauder degree, and upper and lower solutions. The results obtained are new, and some examples are given to illustrate our main results.     

一类非牛顿渗流系统爆破界的估计

首先得到一类拟线性椭圆型方程组的正解的先验界估计和衰减性质,从而推出该方程组的径向非增正对称解的不存在性结果.利用此结果建立了一类拟线性反应扩散方程组(非牛顿渗流系统)的爆破界的估计,推广了半线性(Fujita型)反应扩散方程组的结果.     

NONEXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A FOUR-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

In this paper, we investigate the nonexistence of positive solutions for a class of four-point boundary value problem of nonlinear differential equation with fractional order derivative. We give sufficient conditions on nonlinear term and the parameter such that the boundary value problem has no positive solutions. Some examples are presented to illustrate the main results.     

Nonexistence of positive solutions to a quasilinear elliptic system and blow-up estimates for a non-Newtonian filtration system

The prior estimate and decay property of positive solutions are derived for a system of quasilinear elliptic differential equations first. Then the result of nonexistence for a differential equation system of radially nonincreasing positive solutions is implied. By using this nonexistence result, blow-up estimates for a class of quasilinear reaction-diffusion systems (non-Newtonian filtration systems) are established to extend the result of semilinear reaction-diffusion (Fujita type) systems.     

Radial solutions for a prescribed mean curvature equation with exponential nonlinearity

We establish an existence result for radial solutions for a prescribed mean curvature equation with exponential nonlinearity. Our methods are based on degree theory combined with a time map analysis. We also obtain two nonexistence results for positive solutions for more general f; one of them is not limited to radial solutions.     

Global nonexistence for logarithmic wave equations with nonlinear damping and distributed delay terms

This paper is concerned with global nonexistence of solutions for a logarithmic wave equation with nonlinear damping and distributed delay terms. Due to the simultaneous presence of nonlinear damping and logarithmic source terms, we have difficulty in use of the concavity method. Applying the energy estimates, we show the global nonexistence of solutions with not only non-positive initial energy but also positive initial energy.     

FINITE TIME BLOW UP OF THE SOLUTIONS TO BOUSSINESQ EQUATION WITH LINEAR RESTORING FORCE AND ARBITRARY POSITIVE ENERGY

Finite time blow up of the solutions to Boussinesq equation with linear restoring force and combined power nonlinearities is studied.Sufficient conditions on the initial data for nonexistence of global solutions are derived.The results are valid for initial data with arbitrary high positive energy.The proofs are based on the concave method and new sign preserving functionals.

本文在有界正则域内研究了一类加权拟线性抛物方程组.由单个抛物方程相关的已知结论得到此类方程组的非负entropy解的正下界,然后利用一般的Picone恒等式并构造适当的检验函数,证明此类方程组的非负entropy解不存在.     

具材料阻尼的非线性双曲型方程整体解的不存在性

考虑了一类具材料阻尼的非线性双曲型方程初边值问题整体解的不存在性．分别采用能量方法、Jensen不等式和凹性方法证明了该问题整体解的不存在性定理．作为主要结果的应用,给出了3个例子．     

Existence of positive periodic solutions for a functional differential equation with a parameter

In this paper, we study the existence, multiplicity and nonexistence of positive ω$\omega$-periodic solutions for a kind of nonautonomous functional differential equation by employing the fixed point theorem in cones. Some new results are obtained. As an application of our results, we discuss the existence of a positive periodic solution for a class of models of blood cell production with a parameter, which has not been investigated by using previous methods.     

Oscillation of fourth order sub-linear differential equations

In this paper, we deal with oscillatory and asymptotic properties of solutions of a fourth order sub-linear differential equation with the oscillatory operator. We establish conditions for the nonexistence of positive and bounded solutions and an oscillation criterion.     

Blow-up for a degenerate parabolic equation with nonlocal source and nonlocal boundary

In this article, we investigate the blow-up properties of the positive solutions for a doubly degenerate parabolic equation with nonlocal source and nonlocal boundary condition. The conditions on the existence and nonexistence of global positive solutions are given. Moreover, we give the precise blow-up rate estimate and the uniform blow-up estimate for the blow-up solution.     

Nonlinear oscillations of fourth order quasilinear ordinary differential equations

We consider fourth order quasilinear ordinary differential equations. Firstly, we classify positive solutions into four types according to their asymptotic properties. Then we derive existence theorems of positive solutions belonging to each type. Using these results, we can obtain an oscillation criterion, which is our main objective. Moreover, applying such criteria for ordinary differential equations to binary elliptic systems, we establish nonexistence theorems for positive solutions.

Principal frequency and existence of solutions for quasilinear elliptic obstacle problems

In this paper, we are interested in the first eigenvalue of p-Laplacian and the relation between the first eigenvalue and the existence (or nonexistence) of nontrivial (positive) solution for quasilinear elliptic obstacle problems. Utilizing the fact that obstacle problem have consanguineous relations with corresponding equation, we get a simple approach to study the properties of solutions of obstacle problems, such as existence and nonexistence, regularity and stability, etc. In this paper we are mainly concerned with the existence and nonexistence.

In this paper we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of positive solutions for the one-dimensional singular p-Laplacian differential equation. The methods used to show existence rely on upper-lower solutions method and compactness techniques, while the methods used to prove nonexistence are based on monotone techniques and scaling arguments.     

Positive solutions of the generalized Emden-Fowler equation in Hölder spaces

A singular sublinear BVP related to the Emden-Fowler equation is considered. Existence, nonexistence, and regularity of positive solutions in Hölder spaces is obtained.
