A posteriori error estimator for eigenvalue problems by mixed finite element method JIA ShangHui,CHEN HongTao & XIE HeHu Abstract In this paper,a residual type of a posteriori error estimator for the general second order elliptic eigenpair approximation by the mixed finite element method is derived and analyzed,based on a type of superconvergence result of the eigenfunction approximation.Its efficiency and reliability are proved by both theoretical analysis and numerical experiments.  相似文献

In this paper, the dual mixed method for an unilateral problem, which is the simplified modelling of scalar function for the friction-free contact problem, is considered. The dual mixed problem is introduced, the existence and uniqeness of the solution of the problem are presented, and error bounds O(h^3/4 ) and O(h^3/2 ) are obtained for the dual mixed finite element approximations of Raviart-Thomas elements for k= 0 and k= 1 respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a mixed method for solving two-dimensional unsteady vorticity equations by using Chebyshev spectral-fiuite element approximation. The generalized stability and the optimal rate of convergence are proved. The numerical results show the advantages of such method. In this paper, a fully discrete format of nonlinear Galerkin mixed element method with two-step discretization of time for the non stationary conduction-convection problems is presented. The existence and the convergence of the fully discrete mixed element solution are shown. On the basis of [9] and [10], we have proved that the schemes have second-order convergence accuracy for the time discretization.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a mixed finite element method on a staggered mesh for the numerical solution of the steady state Navier-Stokes equations in which the two components of the velocity and the pressure are defined on three different meshes. This method is a conforming quadrilateral Q1 × Q1 - P0 element approximation for the Navier-Stokes equations. First-order error estimates are obtained for both the velocity and the pressure. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

A coupling method of finite element and infinite large element is proposed for the numerical solution of an eigenvalue problem in unbounded domains in this paper. With some conditions satisfied, the considered problem is proved to have discrete spectra. Several numerical experiments are presented. Abstract. This paper studies the finite element method for some nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations with memory and dampling terms. A Crank-Nicolson approximation for this kind of equations is presented. By using the elliptic Ritz Volterra projection,the analysis of the error estimates for the finite element numerical solutions and the optimal H1-norm error estimate are demonstrated.  相似文献

In this paper,we first propose a new stabilized finite element method for the Stokes eigenvalue problem.This new method is based on multiscale enrichment,and is derived from the Stokes eigenvalue problem itself.The convergence of this new stabilized method is proved and the optimal priori error estimates for the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues are also obtained.Moreover,we combine this new stabilized finite element method with the two-level method to give a new two-level stabilized finite element method for the Stokes eigenvalue problem.Furthermore,we have proved a priori error estimates for this new two-level stabilized method.Finally,numerical examples confirm our theoretical analysis and validate the high effectiveness of the new methods.  相似文献

In this paper, a new splitting positive definite nonconforming mixed finite element method is proposed for pseudo-hyperbolic equations, in which a quasi-Wilson quadrilateral element is used for the flux p, and the bilinear element is used for u. Superconvergence results in ||·||div,h norm for p and optimal error estimates in L2 norm for u are derived for both semi-discrete and fully discrete schemes under almost uniform meshes.  相似文献

本文用分裂正定混合有限元方法研究二阶粘弹性方程. 首先构造一种新的分裂正定混合变分形式和基于这种分裂正定混合变分形式关于时间的半离散格式, 然后绕开关于空间变量的半离散化格式, 直接从时间半离散出发构造出全离散化的分裂正定混合有限元格式, 并给出这种分裂正定混合有限元解的误差估计. 这种研究思路使得理论论证变得更简单,这是处理二阶粘弹性方程的一种新的尝试.  相似文献

In this paper,a general method to derive asymptotic error expansion formulas for the mixed finite element approximations of the Maxwell eigenvalue problem is established.Abstract lemmas for the error of the eigenvalue approximations are obtained.Based on the asymptotic error expansion formulas,the Richardson extrapolation method is employed to improve the accuracy of the approximations for the eigenvalues of the Maxwell system from θ(h2) to θ(h4) when applying the lowest order Nédé1ec mixed finite element and a nonconforming mixed finite element.To our best knowledge,this is the first superconvergence result of the Maxwell eigenvalue problem by the extrapolation of the mixed finite element approximation.Numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

提出了定常的磁流体动力学方程的一种Galerkin-Petrov最小二乘混合元法,并导出Galerkin-Petrov最小二乘混合元解的存在性和误差估计.通过引入Galerkin-Petrov最小二乘混合有限元方法使得该方法的混合元空间之间的组合无需满足离散的Babuska-Brezzi稳定性条件,从而使得它们的混合有限元空间可以任意选取,并得到误差估计最优阶.  相似文献
