Further bounds for hardy type differences

In this paper we define a functional as a difference between the right-hand side and left-hand side of the refined Boas type inequality using the notation of superquadratic and subquadratic functions and study its properties, such as exponential and logarithmic convexity. We also, state and prove improvements and reverses of new weighted Boas type inequalities. As a special case of our result we obtain improvements and reverses of the Hardy inequality and its dual inequality. We introduce new Cauchy type mean and prove monotonicity property of this mean.     

A singular value inequality for Heinz means

We prove a matrix inequality for matrix monotone functions, and apply it to prove a singular value inequality for Heinz means recently conjectured by Zhan.

Small 3-Manifolds of Large Genus

In this paper we prove the Cheeger inequality for infinite weighted graphs endowed with 'corresponding' measure. This measure has already been developed in the study of tree lattices. Our graphs have finite volumes. A similar theory has already been developed for manifolds of finite volumes.     

Some Inequalities for Superharmonic Functions on Graphs

An inequality for superharmonic functions on Riemannian manifolds due to S.Y. Cheng and S-T. Yau is adapted to the setting of graphs. A number of corollaries are discussed, including a Harnack inequality for graphs having at most quadratic growth and satisfying a certain connectedness condition.

将关于一组正数的加权算术-几何不等式推广为关于两组正数的改进型加权算术-几何不等式,其思路可为部分已有结论提供新的证明方法.突破关于自然对数的加权算术-几何不等式对具体函数的依赖,给出并证明了关于对数凸函数的加权算术-几何不等式.     

齐型空间上的Lipschitz函数空间

给出了齐型空间上Lipschitz函数空间的两个新的等价范数，证明了Lipschitz函数满足与BMO函数类似的Joho-Nirenberg型不等式．     

Harmonic functions on hypergroups

We initiate a study of harmonic functions on hypergroups. In particular, we introduce the concept of a nilpotent hypergroup and show such hypergroup admits an invariant measure as well as a Liouville theorem for bounded harmonic functions. Further, positive harmonic functions on nilpotent hypergroups are shown to be integrals of exponential functions. For arbitrary hypergroups, we derive a Harnack inequality for positive harmonic functions and prove a Liouville theorem for compact hypergroups. We discuss an application to harmonic spherical functions.     

Existence of extremal functions for a Hardy-Sobolev inequality

We present the best constant and the extremal functions for an Improved Hardy-Sobolev inequality. We prove that, under a proper transformation, this inequality is equivalent to the Sobolev inequality in RN.     

Heisenberg's Inequality and Logarithmic Heisenberg's Inequality for Ambiguity Function

In this article we discuss the relation between Heisenberg's inequality and logarithmic Heisenberg's (entropy) inequality for ambiguity function. After building up a Heisenberg's inequality, we obtain a connection of variance with entropy by variational method. Using classical Taylor's expansion, we prove that the equality in Heisenberg's inequality holds if and only if the entropy of 2k - 1 order is equal to (2k - 1}!.     

Graphs Between the Elliptic and Parabolic Harnack Inequalities

We present graphs that satisfy the uniform elliptic Harnack inequality, for harmonic functions, but not the stronger parabolic one, for solutions of the discrete heat equation. It is known that the parabolic Harnack inequality is equivalent to the conjunction of a volume regularity and a L ² Poincaré inequality. The first example of graph satisfying the elliptic but not the parabolic Harnack inequality is due to M. Barlow and R. Bass. It satisfies the volume regularity and not the Poincaré inequality. We construct another example that does not satisfy the volume regularity.

Bohr's inequality for uniform algebras

We prove a uniform algebra analogue of a classical inequality of Bohr's concerning Fourier coefficients of bounded holomorphic functions. The classical inequality follows trivially.

     

Strict inequality of Robin eigenvalues for elliptic differential operators on Lipschitz domains

On a bounded Lipschitz domain we consider two selfadjoint operator realizations of the same second order elliptic differential expression subject to Robin boundary conditions, where the coefficients in the boundary conditions are functions. We prove that inequality between these functions on the boundary implies strict inequality between the eigenvalues of the two operators, provided that the inequality of the functions in the boundary conditions is strict on an arbitrarily small nonempty, open set.     

Multivariate irregular sampling theorem

In this paper,we prove a Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund type inequality for multivariate entire functions of exponential type with non-equidistant spaced sampling points. And from this result,we establish a multivariate irregular Whittaker-Kotelnikov-Shannon type sampling theorem.     

Existence of solutions for vector optimization

In this paper, we prove the existence of a weak minimum for constrained vector optimization problem by making use of vector variational-like inequality and preinvex functions.

Logarithmic Sobolev,isoperimetry and transport inequalities on graphs

In this paper,we study some functional inequalities(such as Poincaré inequality,logarithmic Sobolev inequality,generalized Cheeger isoperimetric inequality,transportation-information inequality and transportation-entropy inequality) for reversible nearest-neighbor Markov processes on connected finite graphs by means of(random) path method.We provide estimates of the involved constants.
