In this paper, a fractional extension of the Cahn–Hilliard (CH) phase field model is proposed, i.e. the fractional-in-space CH equation. The fractional order controls the thickness and the lifetime of the interface, which is typically diffusive in integer order case. An unconditionally energy stable Fourier spectral scheme is developed to solve the fractional equation with periodic or Neumann boundary conditions. This method is of spectral accuracy in space and of second-order accuracy in time. The main advantages of this method are that it yields high precision and high efficiency. Moreover, an extra stabilizing term is added to obey the energy decay property while maintaining accuracy and simplicity. Numerical experiments are presented to confirm the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

It is widely known that when the order of root solvers increases, their accuracy comes up as well. In light of this, most of the researchers in this field of study have tried to increase the order of known schemes for obtaining optimal three-step eighth-order methods in which there are four evaluations per iteration. The aim of this article is to challenge this standpoint when the starting points are in the vicinity of the root, but not so close. Toward this end, a novel method of order six with the same number of evaluations per iteration is suggested and demonstrated while its accuracy is better than the accuracy of optimal eighth-order schemes for such initial guesses. The superiority of the developed technique is confirmed by numerical examples.  相似文献

把水资源可持续利用评价问题看成是一个分类问题,利用支持向量机良好的鲁棒性和分类精确性进行评价,并用遗传算法优化了SVM的参数,使其分类精确度更高.对黑龙江省十三个地区进行了实例应用,与人工神经网络和GD-IIM法的结果进行了比较,结果表明,支持向量机模型简单、通用、精度高,可在水资源可持续利用实际评价中推广应用.  相似文献

本文提出了一种新的叠层板壳高阶理论,然后又研究了正交对称叠层板,反对称叠层板,圆柱弯曲和球壳弯曲问题.为了检验理论的准确性,文中计算了几个特殊例子,数值结果和精确解吻合得相当好,说明本理论具有较高的准确度,且表现出未知数较少,解题方便的优点.  相似文献

A new component mode synthesis method is presented in this paper that combines the computational efficiency of the well-known constraint mode approach with the dynamic compensation accuracy obtained by higher-order expansion methods. Instead of employing static constraint modes, quasi-static modes are used to capture inertial effects of the truncated modes. The method is ideally suited for mid-band frequency analysis in which both high-frequency and low-frequency modes may be omitted. A tuning parameter, designated as the centering frequency, controls the dynamic range of the quasi-static modes. Numerical examples are provided which demonstrate the improved accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

In developing a classification model for assigning observations of unknown class to one of a number of specified classes using the values of a set of features associated with each observation, it is often desirable to base the classifier on a limited number of features. Mathematical programming discriminant analysis methods for developing classification models can be extended for feature selection. Classification accuracy can be used as the feature selection criterion by using a mixed integer programming (MIP) model in which a binary variable is associated with each training sample observation, but the binary variable requirements limit the size of problems to which this approach can be applied. Heuristic feature selection methods for problems with large numbers of observations are developed in this paper. These heuristic procedures, which are based on the MIP model for maximizing classification accuracy, are then applied to three credit scoring data sets.  相似文献

In this paper, a new difference scheme based on quartic splines is derived for solving linear and nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations subject to Neumann-type boundary conditions. The scheme can achieve sixth order accuracy at the interior nodal points and fourth order accuracy at and near the boundary, which is superior to the well-known Numerov’s scheme with the accuracy being fourth order. Convergence analysis of the present method for linear cases is discussed. Finally, numerical results for both linear and nonlinear cases are given to illustrate the efficiency of our method.  相似文献

In this study, the problem of estimating the forecast accuracy of a model is considered. A widespread practice is to approximate the population expectation of the forecast accuracy by the sample expectation, which is equivalent to the uniform consideration for the deviations of the forecast from the exact value of a quantity for all time moments. If the vector of unknown parameters is estimated at each step only from the preceding observations, the significance of the deviations is not the same at all time moments. In this study, we propose a method that takes into account the forecast errors with different weights. The problem of constructing the most accurate estimate of the forecast quality, a parameter from which the condition for the optimal weights can be derived, is formalized. Monte-Carlo experiments are used to compare the accuracy of the methods for estimating the forecast quality in the cases when the observations are taken into account with the same weights, with optimum weights, and with the weights calculated using a numerical procedure.  相似文献

A second‐order decoupled algorithm for the nonstationary Stokes‐Darcy system, which allows different time steps in two subregions, is proposed and analyzed in this paper. The algorithm, which is a combination of the second‐order backward differentiation formula and second‐order extrapolation method, uncouples the problem into two decoupled problems per time step. We prove the unconditional stability and long‐time stability of the decoupled scheme with different time steps and derive error estimates of this decoupled algorithm using finite element spatial discretization. Numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the accuracy, effectiveness, and stability of the decoupled algorithm and show its advantages of increasing accuracy and efficiency.  相似文献

The object of this paper is to present the numerical solution of the time‐space fractional telegraph equation. The proposed method is based on the finite difference scheme in temporal direction and Fourier spectral method in spatial direction. The fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique is applied to practical computation. The stability and convergence analysis are strictly proven, which shows that this method is stable and convergent with (2?α) order accuracy in time and spectral accuracy in space. Moreover, the Levenberg‐Marquardt (L‐M) iterative method is employed for the parameter estimation. Finally, some numerical examples are given to confirm the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a positivity-preserving conservative scheme based on the virtual element method (VEM) to solve convection–diffusion problems on general meshes. As an extension of finite element methods to general polygonal elements, the VEM has many advantages such as substantial mathematical foundations, simplicity in implementation. However, it is neither positivity-preserving nor locally conservative. The purpose of this article is to develop a new scheme, which has the same accuracy as the VEM and preserves the positivity of the numerical solution and local conservation on primary grids. The first step is to calculate the cell-vertex values by the lowest-order VEM. Then, the nonlinear two-point flux approximations are utilized to obtain the nonnegativity of cell-centered values and the local conservation property. The new scheme inherits both advantages of the VEM and the nonlinear two-point flux approximations. Numerical results show that the new scheme can reach the optimal convergence order of the virtual element theory, that is, the second-order accuracy for the solution and the first-order accuracy for its gradient. Moreover, the obtained cell-centered values are nonnegative, which demonstrates the positivity-preserving property of our new scheme.  相似文献

在搜索混料模型D-最优设计的计算机算法领域,主流算法包括经典的Fedorov算法,以及元启发类算法,但两者在一些特定的优化问题上,分别在收敛速度和收敛精度方面有进一步提升的空间.文章分别探讨了可能造成这种情况的两类算法各自的局限性,并采取优势互补的策略,构建了交换点式门限接受算法,即ETA (exchange threshold accepting)算法.以含倒数项混料模型为例,文章验证了ETA算法生成设计的D-最优性,并分别与Fedorov算法和元启发类的ProjPSO算法作比较.结果表明,至少在某些特殊的混料模型D-最优设计的搜索方面,ETA算法在收敛速度和精度方面均具有一定的优势.  相似文献

In this paper, a methodology for testing the accuracy and strength of cut generators for mixed-integer linear programming is presented. The procedure amounts to random diving towards a feasible solution, recording several kinds of failures. This allows for a ranking of the accuracy of the generators. Then, for generators deemed to have similar accuracy, statistical tests are performed to compare their relative strength. An application on eight Gomory cut generators and six Reduce-and-Split cut generators is given. The problem of constructing benchmark instances for which feasible solutions can be obtained is also addressed. Supported by ONR grant N00014-09-1-0033.  相似文献

Surveys show that the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is the most widely used measure of prediction accuracy in businesses and organizations. It is, however, biased: when used to select among competing prediction methods it systematically selects those whose predictions are too low. This has not been widely discussed and so is not generally known among practitioners. We explain why this happens. We investigate an alternative relative accuracy measure which avoids this bias: the log of the accuracy ratio, that is, log (prediction/actual). Relative accuracy is particularly relevant if the scatter in the data grows as the value of the variable grows (heteroscedasticity). We demonstrate using simulations that for heteroscedastic data (modelled by a multiplicative error factor) the proposed metric is far superior to MAPE for model selection. Another use for accuracy measures is in fitting parameters to prediction models. Minimum MAPE models do not predict a simple statistic and so theoretical analysis is limited. We prove that when the proposed metric is used instead, the resulting least squares regression model predicts the geometric mean. This important property allows its theoretical properties to be understood.  相似文献

High-dimensional reliability analysis is still an open challenge in structural reliability community. To address this problem, a new sampling approach, named the good lattice point method based partially stratified sampling is proposed in the fractional moments-based maximum entropy method. In this approach, the original sample space is first partitioned into several orthogonal low-dimensional sample spaces, say 2 and 1 dimensions. Then, the samples in each low-dimensional sample space are generated by the good lattice point method, which are deterministic points and possess the property of large variance reduction. Finally, the samples in the original space can be obtained by randomly pairing the samples in low-dimensions, which may also significantly reduce the variance in high-dimensional cases. Then, this sampling approach is applied to evaluate the low-order fractional moments in the maximum entropy method with the tradeoff of efficiency and accuracy for high-dimensional reliability problems. In this regard, the probability density function of the performance function involving a large number of random inputs can be derived accordingly, where the reliability can be straightforwardly evaluated by a simple integral over the probability density function. Numerical examples are studied to validate the proposed method, which indicate the proposed method is of accuracy and efficiency for high-dimensional reliability analysis.  相似文献

Adaptive strategies are a necessary tool to make finite element analysis applicable to engineering practice. In this paper, attention is restricted to mesh adaptivity. Traditionally, the most common mesh adaptive strategies for linear problems are used to reach a prescribed accuracy. This goal is best met with an h-adaptive scheme in combination with an error estimator. In an industrial context, the aim of the mechanical simulations in engineering design is not only to obtain greatest quality but more often a compromise between the desired quality and the computation cost (CPU time, storage, software, competence, human cost, computer used). In this paper, we propose the use of alternative mesh refinement criteria with an h-adaptive procedure for 3D elastic problems. The alternative mesh refinement criteria (MR) are based on: prescribed number of elements with maximum accuracy, prescribed CPU time with maximum accuracy and prescribed memory size with maximum accuracy. These adaptive strategies are based on a technique of error in constitutive relation (the process could be used with other error estimators) and an efficient adaptive technique which automatically takes into account the steep gradient areas. This work proposes a 3D method of adaptivity with the latest version of the INRIA automatic mesh generator GAMHIC3D.  相似文献
