The ~(232)Th(n,γ)~(233)Th neutron capture reaction cross sections were measured at average neutron energies of 14.1 MeV and 14.8 MeV using the activation method.The neutron flux was determined using the monitor reaction~(27)Al(n,α)~(24)Na.The induced gamma-ray activities were measured using a low background gamma ray spectrometer equipped with a high resolution HPGe detector.The experimentally determined cross sections were compared with the data in the literature,and the evaluated data of ENDF/B-Ⅶ.1,JENDL-4.0u+,and CENDL-3.1.The excitation functions of the ~(232)Th(n,γ)~(233)Th reaction were also calculated theoretically using the TALYS1.6 computer code.  相似文献

通过70As的放射性衰变研究了70Ge的激发态,新发现能量为1 036.99,1 196.66,1 539.29和2 531.7 keV的四条新γ射线,重新确认了2 219.34 keV γ射线的跃迁位置,新确认496.74,1 295.24和1 417.24 keV这三条γ射线首次放入衰变纲图,本工作证实了1 881.67,2 325.42和2 424.41 keV γ射线的跃迁位置,建议了能量为4 243.10和5 265.81 keV的两个新能级,建立了新的衰变纲图,基于比较半衰期和γ跃迁分支比建议了一些能级的自旋-宇称。The excited states of the 70Ge nucleus are investigated in radioactive decay of the 70As. Four new transitions with 1 036.99, 1 196.66, 1 539.29 and 2 531.7 keV are found for the first time. The position of 2 219.34 keV transition are reassigned, the transition positions of 496.74, 1 295.24 and 1 417.24 keV γ-rays are assigned for the first time, and the placements of 1 881.67, 2 325.42 and 2 424.41 keV γ-rays are confirmed in the present work. Two new levels, at 4 243.10 and 5 265.81 keV excitation energy, respectively, are proposed. The decay scheme is established and for a number of levels spin-parity assignments are suggested on the basis of logft values and γ-branching ratios.  相似文献

We present a strong correlation of the gamma-ray (above 100 MeV) mean spectral indices αγ and X-ray (1 keV) mean spectral indices αX for 34 gamma-ray-loud blazars (16 BL Lac objects and 18 flat spectrum radio quasars). A strong correlation is also found between the gamma-ray flux densities Fγ and X-ray flux densities FX in the low state for 47 blazars (17 BL Lac and 30 flat spectrum radio quasars). Possible correlation on the gamma-ray emission mechanism is discussed. We suggest that the main gamma-ray radiation mechanism is probably the synchrotron process. The gamma-ray emission may be somewhat different from that of BL Lac objects and flat spectrum radio quasars.  相似文献

Through the use of time and space integrated kiloelectronvolt (keV) spectroscopy, we investigate the thermal emission of plasma, which produces strong line emission from the titanium K shell (He-a at 4.7 keV and H-α at 4.9 keV), created by laser. In order to optimize the conversion efficiency enhancement on titanium foils, the experiment is conducted under a variety of laser-driven intensity conditions. The X-ray emission intensity at 4.7 keV is measured and compared with prediction. The experimental result demonstrates that the solid Ti target laser-produced plasma (LPP) source has X-ray emission at 4.7 keV, which are all generated from electronic transitions in Ti ions at pulse width of 2.1 ns or 30 ps, the crudely evaluated He-α X-ray intensity appears to slightly increase with laser intensity enhancement, and the pre- pulse effect increases the conversion efficiency of the He-α X-ray. In addition, a 90-μm-thick Ti foil as a filter is used to transmit He-α X-ray at near 4.7 keV, creating a quasi-monochromatic transmission and greatly reducing the lower- and higher-energy background.  相似文献

This paper reports that the Tm^3+:Lu2SiO5 (Tm:LSO) crystal is grown by Czochralski technique. The roomtemperature absorption spectra of Tm:LSO crystal are measured on a b-cut sample with 4 at.% thulium. According to the obtained Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ω2=9.3155×10^-20 cm^2, Ω4=8.4103×10^-20 cm^2, Ω6=1.5908×10^-20 cm^2, the fluorescence lifetime is calculated to be 2.03 ms for ^3F4 → ^3H6 transition, and the integrated emission cross section is 5.81×10^-18 cm^2. Room-temperature laser action near 2μm under diode pumping is experimentally evaluated in Tm:LSO. An optical-optical conversion efficiency of 9.1% and a slope efficiency of 16.2% are obtained with continuouswave maximum output power of 0.67 W. The emission wavelengths of Tm:LSO laser are centred around 2.06μm with spectral bandwidth of -13.6 nm.  相似文献

In 2011, JIANG Li-Yang deduced a new value for 1077 keV γ-ray emission probability by measuring the 69Ga(n,2n) 6SGa reaction cross section. The new value is about 20% lower than values obtained from previous absolute measurements and evaluations. In this paper, the discrepancies among the measurements and evaluations are analyzed carefully and the new values are re-recommended. 在四川大学2.5 MV静电加速器上, 用活化法测量了29—1 100 keV 能区中子引起的75As(n, γ)76As反应截面, 并用MCNP 4C程序对实验中由中子的多次散射、 注量率衰减效应等引起的偏差进行了修正, 最后将所得结果与已有数据进行了比较。 We have measured the neutron radiative capture cross section of 75As in the energy range of En=29—1 100 keV using the activation technique at 2.5 MV electrostatic accelerator of Sichuan University. The experimental data were then corrected for multiple scattering and self shielding effects with MCNP 4C code. We also compared our results, with the existing measurement, calculation and evaluated data in ENDF/B Ⅵ.  相似文献

The production and transportation of fluorescent light produced in wavelength-shifting fibers (WSFs) coupled to YAP scintillation crystal is simulated using the GEANT4 codes. An advantage of the wavelength-shifting fiber readout technique over a direct readout with a position-sensitive photo-sensor is the reduced requirement for position sensitive photomultiplier tube photocathode area. With this gamma-ray detector, the gamma camera is small and flexible and has larger effective field of view and low cost. Simulation results show that a) a mean 12 of photons per 59.5 keV gamma ray interaction is produced in the WSF located nearest to the incident gamma ray, and a spatial resolution of 3.6 mm FWHM is obtained, b) a mean 27 of photons per 140 keV gamma ray interaction is produced and a spatial resolution of 3.1 mm FWHM is obtained. Results demonstrate the feasibility of this concept of a compact gamma-ray detector based on wavelength-shifting fibers readout. However, since the very low photoelectron levels, it is very important to use a photon counting device with good single photo-electron response to readout the WSFs.  相似文献

We study the multiband non-thermal emission from two pulsar wind nebulae (PWNe), the Crab nebula and the PWN in MSH 15-52. Both of them have been recently detected by the Fermi large area telescope (LAT) and powered by central gamma-ray pulsars. Motivated by the Fermi LAT results, we use a simplified time-dependent injection model to study the non-thermal emission from radio to very high energy gamma-ray radiation from these two sources. In this model, the relativistic electrons are accelerated in pulsar magnetosphere and at pulsar wind termination shocks and can be described by a broken power law. Those high energy particles evolve with time and produce non-thermal emission through synchrotron radiation and inverse Compton scattering of soft photons. For Crab nebula, using the GeV emission from 100 MeV to 10 GeV given by Fermi LAT, we can constrain the maximum energy of the electrons and other parameters. The non-thermal emission can be well explained by this model. We also use this model to explain the non-thermal emission from the PWN in MSH 15-52.  相似文献

The cross sections for the production of 25 min and 5 min activities due to the isomeric states of 178Lu, produced by the 181Ta(n, α) reaction, have been measured at four neutron energies in the keV region. From a study of σ5 min (n, α)/σ 25 min(n, α) versus En, an attempt has been made to assign spins to the 25 min and 5 min isomeric states of 178Lu.  相似文献

An isomer of 161Lu with a half-life of 7.3 ± 0.4 ms has been discovered in the heavy-ion reaction 148Sm(19F, 6n)161mLu. Oneγ-ray transition with energy 135.8 ± 0.2 keV was observed, and a K-conversion coefficient of 1.1 ± 0.3 deduced in the decay of this isomer.  相似文献

The circular polarization P of γ-rays from unpolarized sources of 75Se, 171Er, and 175Yb of strengths ? 500 Ci has been measured with a Compton polarimeter of the radial transmission type. Eight NaI crystals and a four-fold current integration system were used to simultaneously record the data in four independent channels. The results are: P = ?(1.8 ± 6.0) × 10?5 for the 401 keV transition in 75As (the experimental error is ± 1.5 × 10?5, the remaining part is due to the uncertainty in the decay scheme of 75Se), P = (0.8 ± 1.5) × 10?4 for the 296 keV and 308 keV transition in 171Tm, and P = (5.7 ± 0.8) × 10?5 for the 396 keV transition in 175Lu. The last value confirms the parity non-conservation in nuclear forces. The polarimeter was calibrated with bremsstrahlung from 170Tm. The correction for polarized bremsstrahlung was given special attention. Correction factors are derived for 51Cr, 177Lu, and 198Au from a comparison of the measured and calculated bremsstrahlung yields.  相似文献

The electron capture of176m Lu to the ground state and to the first excited state of176Yb has been observed by measuring the YbK x-rays and the 82,2 keV gamma-rays from the gamma decay of the first excited state in176Yb. With the data of the 88,36 keV gammarays following the beta decay of176m Lu to the first excited state of176Hf the electron capture/beta decay ratio of176m Lu was found to be (0,95±0,16)·10?4. The electron capture branching ratio to the ground state and to the first excited state of176Yb was found to be 40/60±30%. By analyzing the 88,36keV gamma-rays and the HfKx-rays the halflife of176m Lu was evaluated to be 3,66±0,04 h. The value for theK-conversion coefficient of the 88,36keV transition was determined from the x-ray/gamma-ray ratio to be 1,19±0,09.  相似文献

The double-differential neutron emission cross sections for n+56Fe reactions at incident energies of 7-13 MeV at different angles are calculated by the UNF(abbreviation for unified,2009 Version)code,which is based on the unified Hauser-Feshbach and exciton model.The results indicate that the higher the incident energies,the better the results,although there are some discrepancies between the calculated results and the measured data for natural iron.These discrepancies are analyzed in detail in this paper.In addition,the calculated results are also compared with the evaluated results of ENDF/B VII.O and JEFF-3.1.1 near the angle of 90°at incident energies of 8.17 and 11.5 MeV,respectively.  相似文献

The γ-ray cascades following the 176Yb(p, 2n)175Lu reaction are studied with Ge(Li) detectors and interpreted within the level scheme of 175Lu. According to this interpretation the 12+[411], 12?[541], 52+[402], 72+[404] and 92?[514] rotat 152+, 212?, 132+, 192+ and 192? members, respectively. Fu band head is determined to be 626.6 keV. The data for the rotational bands are discussed within the particle-rotor model and compared with the available information on the corresponding bands in the adjacent Lu isotopes.  相似文献

The levels and γ-ray transitions in 171Yb have been studied by radioactive decay of oriented 171 Lu. The orientation was produced using the hyperfine field in ferromagnetic gadolinium to polarize an ensemble of 171Lu nuclei at a temperature of 14mK. The directional distribution of the γ-rays was measured using high-resolution Ge(Li) detectors. Anisotropies of 30 γ-rays in 171Yb were measured. Multipole mixing ratios were deduced for most of the mixed γ-ray transitions and unambiguous spin assignments were made for several levels.The energy and structure of the rotational band levels, reduced E2 and M1 transition probabilities and E2/M1 mixing ratios were calculated using the semi-microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model with a Coriolis interaction. In general, good agreement is obtained between the theoretical predictions and experimental results.  相似文献

The level scheme of153Eu was investigated by observing the gamma-rays following theβ ?-decay of the 47 h153Sm using a high purity Ge(HPGe) detector and a Ge(Li)-Nal(Tl) fast-slow coincidence spectrometer. The energies and relative intensities of about fifty six gamma-ray transitions were determined. Five of them at energies of 124.91, 431.65, 443.24, 487.75 and 623.73 keV were observed and confirmed for the first time in the present singles and/or gamma-gamma coincidence measurements. These new transitions could be fitted into a proposed level scheme of153Eu. Theβ ?-decay branching ratios as well as the log (ft) values were obtained.  相似文献

Levels up to 2.3 MeV in 156Gd have been studied using the (n, γ) reaction. Energies and intensities of low-energy γ-rays and electrons emitted after thermal neutron capture have been measured with a curved-crystal spectrometer, Ge(Li) detectors and a magnetic electron spectrometer. High-energy (primary) γ-rays and electrons have been measured with Ge(Li) detectors and a magnetic spectrometer. The high-energy γ-ray spectrum has also been measured in thermal neutron capture in 2 keV resonance neutron capture. The neutron separation energy in 156Gd was measured as Sn = 8535.8 ± 0.5 keV.About 600 transitions were observed of which ~50% could be placed in a level scheme containing more than 50 levels up to 2.3 MeV excitation energy. 42 of these levels were grouped into 15 excited bands. In addition to the β-band at 1050 keV we observe 0+ bands at 1168, 1715 and 1851 keV. Other positive-parity bands are: 1+ bands at 1966, 2027 and 2187 keV; 2+ bands at 1154 (γ-band) and 1828 keV; and 4+ bands at 1511 and 1861 keV. Negative-parity bands are observed at 1243 keV (1?), 1366 keV (0?), 1780 keV (2?) and 2045 keV (4?). Reduced E2 and E0 transition probabilities have been derived for many transitions. The ground band, the β- and γ-bands and the 0+ band at 1168 keV have been included in a phenomenological four-band mixing calculation, which reproduces well the experimental energies and E2 transition probabilities.The lowest three negative-parity (octupole) bands of which the 0? and the 1? bands are very strongly mixed, were included in a Coriolis-coupling analysis, which reproduces well the observed energies. The E1 transition probabilities to the ground band are also well reproduced, while those from the higher-lying 0+ bands to the octupole bands are not reproduced. Absolute and relative transition probabilities have been compared with predictions of the IBA model and the pairingplus-quadrupole model. Both models reproduce well the E2 transitions from the γ-band, while strong disagreements are found for the E2 transitions from the β-band. The IBA model predicts part of the decay features of the higher lying 2+2, 4+1 and 2?1 bands.  相似文献

All nuclear decay data have uncertainties. It is not obvious how these uncertainties affect the detection efficiencies in gamma-ray spectrometry performed with HPGe detectors and in close geometry with cascading gamma-rays. This paper presents examples based on Monte Carlo simulations. It shows that for certain cases the uncertainty in the detection efficiency can be significantly greater than the uncertainty of the nuclear decay. This should thus be taken into account when performing a complete uncertainty budget for close geometry measurements.  相似文献
