Laser performance with the mixed Nd:Lu0.15Y0.85VO4 crystal at 1.34 μm wavelength has been demonstrated. The continuous wave (cw) operation was carried out in a simple plano-concave resonator with an optical conversion efficiency of 23% and a slop efficiency of 25%. At a pump power of 6.78 W, the Q-switched pulses with the largest average output power of 349 mW, the shortest pulse width of 30.6 ns, the largest repetition rate of 42.5 kHz, the highest peak power of 268 W and the largest pulse energy of 8.2 μJ were obtained, corresponding to the V:YAG with initial transmission of 89%.  相似文献

本文介绍了一种用波长为809nm的激光二极管(LD)端面泵浦厚度为1mm的微片Nd:YVO4全固化固体激光器。器件结构上采用了一种独特的光学系统,该系统由分别用于LD激光束的耦合和聚焦的两部分组成。由Nd:YVO4的一个平面与一个曲率半径为21mm的球面镜组成半共焦腔,以获得高的转换效率。文中详细讨论了单横模运转时的泵浦光与激光腔模之间的匹配问题。当泵浦光功率为400mW时,获得152mW的1064nm波长的TEM00模激光输出。器件阈值功率为48.3mW,总的光-光转换效率为38%,斜效率为43%.  相似文献

Multibeam CO2 lasers consist of a large number of closely packed parallel glass discharge tubes, all sharing a common plane parallel resonator. This paper describes construction and operation of a CW multibeam CO2 laser consisting 20 discharge tubes and cooled length of 1500 mm, delivering 1 kW power. A high-frequency pulser is used for producing preionization in all discharge sections for initiating the main DC discharge simultaneously in all discharge tubes. Plane parallel resonator consists of a plane ZnSe mirror of 90 mm diameter having 60% reflectivity and a gold-coated copper mirror of same diameter. This laser operates in waveguide regime and laser power is not critically sensitive to mirror misalignment.  相似文献

An all-solid-state single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) laser at 500.8 nm with 830 mW output power has been demonstrated for the first time. By using a new resonator for doubly resonant, Nd:GdVO4 and Nd:YAG were pumped by two laser diode arrays coupled by optical fiber, respectively. In the two sub-cavities, SLM wavelengths of 1064 and 946 nm were induced by using the twisted-mode technique and then mixed into SLM 500.8 nm laser with sum-frequency technology. The SLM 500.8 nm laser output of 830 mW was obtained at the incident pump power of 20 W for Nd:GdVO4 and 23 W for Nd:YAG. The experimental results showed that the intracavity sum-frequency mixing by twisted-mode technique is an effective method for SLM 500.8 nm laser.  相似文献

A pulse laser-diode-array (LDA)-pumped, single-axial-mode, intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser has been demonstrated by using an birefringent filter consisting of a KTP crystal and two Brewster plates (BP). Up to 72.4 mW average output power is obtained for 800 mW pumping power with an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 9.1%. The maximum peak power of the single-frequency green laser is 22.3 W with the pulse width 162 μs.  相似文献

The first single-frequency Ti:Er:LiNbO3 distributed Bragg reflector waveguide laser with two thermally fixed photorefractive gratings as resonator mirrors is reported. The optically pumped (λp=1480 nm,120-mW incident power) laser emits up to 1.1 mW at λs=1561.1 nm. The threshold pump power is 70 mW. A periodically poled titanium (Ti)-diffusion waveguide in near-stoichiometric MgO:LiNbO3 (SMgLN) was fabricated that exhibits a second harmonic generation (SHG) efficiency of 63%. The device shows very high resistance to photorefractive damage at room temperature. All optical wavelength conversion by difference frequency generation (DFG) has been demonstrated in a periodically poled SMgLN (PPSMgLN) with Ti-diffusion channel waveguides. The wavelength conversion efficiency was measured to be −7.3 dB with the pump power of 150 mW and the signal power of 50 mW at room temperature.  相似文献

A laser diode end-pumped 10 at.% doped Yb:YAG microchip crystal intracavity frequency doubled all solid-stated green laser is reported in this paper. Using one plano-concave resonator, with the pump power of 1.2 W, 44.2 mW TEM00 continuous wave (CW) laser at 525 nm was obtained, the optical conversion efficiency was about 3.7%. When a Cr:YAG crystal with initial transmission of 95.5% inserted in the resonator, the maximum output power of 6.4 mW, pulse duration width of 49.1 ns, pulse repetition rate of 2.45 kHz, and peak power of 53.1 W at 515 nm were achieved when the pump power was 1.2 W. The wavelength changed from 525 nm to 515 nm and the threshold was only 725 mW.  相似文献

With a type-I critical phase-matching LBO crystal, an intracavity frequency doubled solid-stated Yb:YAG green laser is reported. Using a plano-concave resonator, with pump power of 1.37 W, 24.5 mW TEM00 continuous wave laser at 525 nm was obtained. The optical conversion efficiency is 1.8%. By adjusting the placed angle of LBO, several lasers wavelength from 525.0 to 537.8 nm could be extracted. The maximum output power at 537.8 nm is 3.1 mW.  相似文献

A model of the laser-diode pumped solid-state laser is developed to deduce the minimum average radii of the pump beam in the solid medium, since the smaller the cavity waist, the higher the laser output power is expected to be. With an appropriate coupling system consisting of the collimating lens, prism pair and focusing lens, a diode-pumped single-frequency Nd:YVO4/KTP intracavity frequency-doubling cw laser has been demonstrated through the precise temperature control of the Nd:YVO4 crystal, the KTP crystal and the diode laser. The 532nm single-frequency output power of 40.4mW (in fact 55mW if the reflection loss of the triangular prism is taken into account) is obtained for an incident power of 515mW. It is derived theoretically and is verified in experiment that the frequency drift of the free-running laser can be reduced by increasing the cavity length.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate a multi-wave length Brillouin-Raman fiber laser configured in a ring-cavity resonator. Interactions between stimulated Brillouin scattering and Raman amplification in a dispersion compensating fiber, attributed to the generation of 16 output channels at injected Raman pump unit power of 650 mW and Brillouin pump power of 2.0 mW. The first output channel has a peak power of 14.8 mW. By discriminating the even-order Brillouin Stokes signals from circulating in the resonator, the generated output channels were found to have wavelength spacing of ∼22 GHz. The output channels were also found to have average optical signal-to-noise ratio value of 11.7 dB.  相似文献

The polarised absorption and fluorescence spectra of Nd:Gd0.8La0.2VO4 crystal are measured and compared to those of Nd:GdVO4. CW laser properties of diode-pumped Nd:Gd0.8La0.2VO4 crystal operating at fundamental wavelengths of 1.06 and 1.34 μm, as well as when intracavity frequency-doubled to 532 and 670 nm, have been studied. The maximum output powers at 1.06 μm, 1.34 μm, 532 nm and 670 nm are 1.18 W, 671 mW, 206 mW and 42 mW respectively, at a diode-launched pump power of 2.9 W. The threshold pump powers are 80, 267, 7 and 15 mW respectively.  相似文献

A tunable laser is demonstrated using a microfiber knot resonator structure made by erbiumdoped fiber (EDF). The laser is made of a 2 m long EDF where 30 mm of its end section is tapered to construct a microfiber knot resonator (MKR). The combination of the EDF and MKR generates a stable single wavelength laser at 1555 nm wavelength with a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 33.7 dB using a 63 mW of 980 nm pump power. The peak wavelength of the laser can be tuned by 340 pm as the MKR diameter reduces from 5.0 to 0.5 mm with an acceptable penalty in output power.  相似文献

This letter reports the fabrication and testing of a compact Radio Frequency Generator (Oscillator-Amplifier) for its integration in a CO2 waveguide laser. The circuit uses a common source MOSFET transistor that has been modified for self-sustained oscillations impedance-matched to 50 Ω.  An intracavity frequency-doubled 10%Nd : LaSc3(BO3)4 (Nd : LSB) laser was investigated in different resonator configurations and in different operation modes under continuous wave (cw) and quasi-cw laser-diode pumping. With a Cr4+ : YAG passive modulator and a KTP crystal the second-harmonic output power at 531 nm amounted to 190 mW in Q-switched TEM00 mode at 750 mW of pump power. In a sandwich resonator, when all the optical elements were in direct contact with each other, 0.8 W of green output power was obtained in cw mode under 2.7 W of pump power with a slope efficiency of 44%. In the same setup under fiber-coupled diode-laser array pumping (5.6 W of incident power), 1.2 W of green output power was achieved in cw mode and 1.4 W in quasi-cw mode. The performance of an organic photovoltaic(OPV) cell based on copper phthalocyanine CuPc/C60 with a tris(8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminum(Alq3) buffer layer has been investigated.It was found that the power conversion efficiency of the device was 1.51% under illumination with an intensity of 100 mW/cm2,which was limited by a squareroot dependence of the photocurrent on voltage.The photocurrent-optical power density characteristics showed that the OPV cell had a significant space-charge limited photocurrent with a varied saturation voltage and a three quarters power dependence on optical power density.Also,the absorption spectrum was measured by a spectrophotometer,and the results showed that the additional Alq3 layer has a minor effect on photocurrent generation.  相似文献

Passively Q-switched laser oscillation at 1060 nm from an unprocessed Nd:LaB3O6 cleavage microchip with a Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber has been demonstrated. The influence of absorbed pump power, output coupler transmission and cavity length on the output pulse characteristics has been investigated. For a plano-concave cavity with a cavity length of 28 mm, pulse with 100 mW average output power, 4.0 μJ energy, 17 ns duration, 25 kHz repetition rate, and 0.24 kW, peak power was obtained at the absorbed pump power of 1.42 W and output coupler transmission of 3.5%. For a plano-plano cavity with a cavity length of 5 mm, pulse with 85 mW average output power, 2.1 μJ energy, 2.3 ns duration, 40 kHz repetition rate, and 0.89 kW, peak power was obtained at the absorbed pump power of 1.42 W and output coupler transmission of 5.6%. Because a chopper with a 5% duty cycle was employed in the experiments to reduce the influence of pump-induced thermal loading, the above average output powers were obtained at the 5% duty cycle and extrapolated to 100%.PACS 42.55.Rz; 42.60.Gd; 42.70.Hj  相似文献
