At present the mechanical model of the interac- tion between a disc cutter and rock mainly concerns indentation experiment, linear cutting experiment and tunnel boring machine (TBM) on-site data. This is not in line with the actual rock-breaking movement of the disc cutter and impedes to some extent the research on the rock-breaking mechanism, wear mechanism and design theory. Therefore, our study focuses on the interaction between the slantingly installed disc cutter and rock, developing a model in accordance with the actual rock-breaking movement. Displacement equations are established through an analysis of the velocity vector at the rock-breaking point of the disc cutter blade; the func- tional relationship between the displacement parameters at the rock-breaking point and its rectangular coordinates is established through an analysis of micro-displacement vectors at the rock-breaking point, thus leading to the geometric equations of rock deformation caused by the slantingly installed disc cutter. Considering the basically linear relationship between the cutting force of disc cutters and the rock deformation before and after the leap break of rock, we express the constitutive relations of rock deformation as generalized Hooke's law and analyze the effect of the slanting installa- tion angle of disc cutters on the rock-breaking force. This will, as we hope, make groundbreaking contributions to the development of the design theory and installation practice of TBM.  相似文献

To study the rock deformation with threedimensional model under rolling forces of disc cutter,by carrying out the circular-grooving test with disc cutter rollingaround on the rock, the rock mechanical behavior underrolling disc cutter is studied, the mechanical model of disccutter rolling around the groove is established, and the theory of single-point and double-angle variables is proposed.Based on this theory, the physics equations and geometricequations of rock mechanical behavior under disc cutters oftunnel boring machine(TBM) are studied, and then the balance equations of interactive forces between disc cutter androck are established.Accordingly, formulas about normalforce, rolling force and side force of a disc cutter are derived, and their validity is studied by tests. Therefore,a newmethod and theory is proposed to study rock-breaking mechanism of disc cutters.  相似文献

A mixed variational formulation for lage deformation analysis of plates is introduced. In this formulation the equilibrium and compatibility equations are satisfied identically bymeans of stress functions and displacement components, respectively, and the constitutiveequations are satisfied in a least square sense,An example is solved and the results arecompared with those available in the literature.Further, the functional is particularized for buckling analysis of plates and a simpleexample is solved to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

As a simplified structural model, a semicircular frame is used to study the crashworthiness behavior of an aircraft fuselage. The quasi-static large elastic-plastic deformation of a semicircular frame in the process of its being pressed against a rigid ground is analyzed. First, based on the linear elastic assumption, the quasi-static large deformation contact process of the frame can be divided into three phases, i.e., point contact, line contact and post-buckling. By means of a shooting method, the relations between the displacement and contact force as well as the distribution of bending moment in the three phases are obtained. Then, by assuming an elastic, perfectly-plastic moment-curvature relationship for the semi-circular frame, the contact process is analyzed in detail to reveal the plastic collapse mechanism, the traveling of plastic hinge and the force-displacement relationship. In order to verify the analysis, a preliminary experiment was conducted, in which two types of half rings with clamped ends were pressed by a rigid plate. In addition, a numerical simulation is also conducted by employing ABAQUS to analyze both rectangular cross-sectional beam and I-beam. Finally, the theoretical predictions are compared with the experimental results and numerical solutions, showing that the elastic-plastic analysis can predict the contact process very well.  相似文献

In last time, the series of virtual internal bond model was proposed for solving rock mechanics problems. In these models, the rock continuum is considered as a structure of discrete particles connected by normal and shear springs(bonds). It is well announced that the normal springs structure corresponds to a linear elastic solid with a fixed Poisson ratio, namely, 0.25 for threedimensional cases. So the shear springs used to represent the diversity of the Poisson ratio. However, the shearing force calculation is not rotationally invariant and it produce difficulties in application of these models for rock mechanics problems with sufficient displacements. In this letter, we proposed the approach to support the diversity of the Poisson ratio that based on usage of deformable Voronoi cells as set of particles. The edges of dual Delaunay tetrahedralization are considered as structure of normal springs(bonds). The movements of particle's centers lead to deformation of tetrahedrals and as result to deformation of Voronoi cells. For each bond, there are the corresponded dual face of some Voronoi cell. We can consider the normal bond as some beam and in this case, the appropriate face of Voronoi cell will be a cross section of this beam. If during deformation the Voronoi face was expand, then, according Poisson effect, the length of bond should be decrees. The above mechanism was numerically investigated and we shown that it is acceptable for simulation of elastic behavior in 0.1–0.3 interval of Poisson ratio. Unexpected surprise is that proposed approach give possibility to simulate auxetic materials with negative Poisson's ratio in interval from –0.5 to –0.1.  相似文献

A discrete element method (DEM) called particle flow code (PFC2D) was used to construct a model for Brazilian disc splitting test in the present study. Based on the experimental results of intact Brazilian disc of rock-like material, a set of micro-parameters in PFC2D that reflected the macro-mechanical behavior of rock-like materials were obtained. And then PFC2D was used to simulate Brazilian splitting test for jointed rock mass specimens and specimen containing a central straight notch. The effect of joint angle and notch angle on the tensile strength and failure mode of jointed rock specimens was detailed analyzed. In order to reveal the meso-mechanical mechanism of crack coalescence, displacement trend lines were applied to analyze the displacement evolution during the crack initiation and propagation. The investigated conclusions can be described as follows. (1) The tensile strength of jointed rock mass disc specimen is dependent to the joint angle. As the joint angle increases, the tensile strength of jointed rock specimen takes on a nonlinear variance. (2) The tensile strength of jointed rock mass disc specimen containing a central straight notch distributes as a function of both joint angle and notch angle. (3) Three major failure modes, i.e., pure tensile failure, shear failure and mixed tension and shear failure mode are observed in jointed rock mass disc specimens under Brazilian test. (4) The notch angle roles on crack initiation and and joint angle play important propagation characteristics of jointed rock mass disc specimen containing a central straight notch under Brazilian test.  相似文献

In this paper, a series of effective formulae of the boundary element method is presented. In these formulae, by using a new variable two kernels are only of the weaker singularity of Lnr (where r is the distance between a source point and a field point). Hence, the singularities in the conventional displacement formulation and stress formulation at internal points are reduced respectively so that the "boundary-layer" effect which strongly degenerates the accuracy of stress calculation by using original formulae is eliminated. Also the direct evaluation of coefficients C (boundary tensor), which are difficult to calculate, is avoided. This method is used in elastoplastic analysis. The results of the numerical investigation demonstrate the potential advantages of this method.  相似文献

The dynamic analysis of a generalized linear elastic body undergoing large rigid rotations is investigated. The generalized linear elastic body is described in kine- matics through translational and rotational deformations, and a modified constitutive relation for the rotational deformation is proposed between the couple stress and the curvature tensor. Thus, the balance equations of momentum and moment are used for the motion equations of the body. The floating frame of reference formulation is applied to the elastic body that conducts rotations about a fixed axis. The motion-deformation coupled model is developed in which three types of inertia forces along with their incre- ments are elucidated. The finite element governing equations for the dynamic analysis of the elastic body under large rotations are subsequently formulated with the aid of the constrained variational principle. A penalty parameter is introduced, and the rotational angles at element nodes are treated as independent variables to meet the requirement of C1 continuity. The elastic body is discretized through the isoparametric element with 8 nodes and 48 degrees-of-freedom. As an example with an application of the motion- deformation coupled model, the dynamic analysis on a rotating cantilever with two spatial layouts relative to the rotational axis is numerically implemented. Dynamic frequencies of the rotating cantilever are presented at prescribed constant spin velocities. The maximal rigid rotational velocity is extended for ensuring the applicability of the linear model. A complete set of dynamical response of the rotating cantilever in the case of spin-up maneuver is examined, it is shown that, under the ultimate rigid rotational velocities less than the maximal rigid rotational velocity, the stress strength may exceed the material strength tolerance even though the displacement and rotational angle responses are both convergent. The influence of the cantilever layouts on their responses and the multiple displacement trajectories observed in the floating frame is simultaneously investigated. The motion-deformation coupled model is surely expected to be applicable for a broad range of practical applications.  相似文献

The relationship between work and energy increment of a thrust fault system with quasi-static deformation can be decomposed into two parts: volume strain energy and deviation stress energy. The relationship between work and energy increment of the deviation stress of a simplified thrust fault system is analyzed based on the catastrophe theory. The research indicates that the characteristics displayed by the fold catastrophe model can appropriately describe the condition of earthquake generation, the evolvement process of main shock of thrust fault earthquake, and some important aftershock properties. The bigger the surrounding press of surrounding rock is, the bigger the maximum principal stress is, the smaller the incidences of the potential thrust fault surface are, and the smaller the ratio between the tangential stiffness of surrounding rock and the slope is, which is at the inflexion point on the softened zone of the fault shearing strength curve. Thus, when earthquake occurrs, the larger the elastic energy releasing amount of surrounding rock is, the bigger the earthquake magnitude is, the larger the half distance of fault dislocation is, and the larger the displacement amplitude of end face of surrounding rock is. Fracturing and expanding the fault rock body and releasing the volume strain energy of surrounding rock during the earthquake can enhance the foregoing effects together.  相似文献

Compatibility conditions of a deformation field in continuum mechanics have been revisited via two different routes. One is to use the deformation gradient, and the other is a pure geometric one. Variations of the displacement vector and the displacement density tensor are obtained explicitly in terms of the Riemannian curvature tensor. The explicit relations reconfirm that the compatibility condition is equivalent to the vanishing of the Riemann curvature tensor and reveals the non-Euclidean nature of the space in which the dislocated continuum is imbedded. Comparisons with the theory of Kr¨oner and Le-Stumpf are provided.  相似文献

From the macroscopic point of view, expressions involving reservoir and operational parameters are established for investigating the stability of moving interface in piston- and non-piston-like displacements. In the case of axisymmetrical piston-like displacement, the stability is related to the moving interface position and water to oil mobility ratio. The capillary effect on the stability of moving interface depends on whether or not the moving interface is already stable and correlates with the wettability of the reservoir rock. In the case of non-piston-like displacement, the stability of the front is governed by both the relative permeability and the mobility ratio.  相似文献

The general bending problem of conical shells on the elastic foundation (Winkler Medium) is not solved. In this paper, the displacement solution method for this problem is presented. From the governing differential equations in displacement form of conical shell and by introducing a displacement function U(s,θ), the differential equations are changed into an eight-order soluble partial differential equation about the displacement function U(s,θ) in which the coefficients are variable. At the same time, the expressions of the displacement and internal force components of the shell are also given by the displacement function U(s θ). As special cases of this paper, the displacement function introduced by V.S. Vlasov in circular cylindrical shell[5], the basic equation of the cylindrical shell on the elastic foundation and that of the circular plates on the elastic foundation are directly derived.Under the arbitrary loads and boundary conditions, the general bending problem of the conical shell on the elastic foundation is reduced to find the displacement function U(s,θ).The general solution of the eight-order differential equation is obtained in series form. For the symmetric bending deformation of the conical shell on the elastic foundation, which has been widely usedinpractice, the detailed numerical results and boundary influence coefficients for edge loads have been obtained. These results have important meaning in analysis of conical shell combination construction on the elastic foundation, and provide a valuable judgement for the numerical solution accuracy of some of the same type of the existing problem.  相似文献

The sampling Moiré(SM) method is one of the vision-based non-contact deformation measurement methods, which is a powerful tool for structural health monitoring and elucidation of damage mechanisms of materials. In this review, the basic principle of the SM method for measuring the twodimensional displacement and strain distributions is introduced. When the grid is not a standard orthogonal grating and cracks exist on the specimen surface, the measurement methods are also stated. Two of the most typical application examples are described in detail. One is the dynamic deflection measurement of a large-scale concrete bridge, and the other is the residual thermal strain measurement of small-scale flip chip packages. Several further development points of this method are pointed out. The SM method is expected to be used for deformation measurement of various structures and materials for residual stress evaluation, crack location prediction, and crack growth evaluation on broad scales.  相似文献

Frequency domain fundamental solutions for a poroelastic half-space   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In frequency domain, the fundamental solutions for a poroelastic half-space are re-derived in the context of Biot's theory. Based on Biot's theory, the governing field equations for the dynamic poroelasicity are established in terms of solid displacement and pore pressure. A method of potentials in cylindrical coordinate system is proposed to decouple the homogeneous Biot's wave equations into four scalar Helmholtz equations, and the general solutions to these scalar wave equations are obtained. After that, spectral Green's functions for a poroelastic full-space are found through a decomposition of solid displacement, pore pressure, and body force fields. Mirror-image technique is then applied to construct the half-space fundamental solutions. Finally, transient responses of the half-space to buried point forces are examined.  相似文献

In this paper, an analytical solution for the dynamic response of a double-layered subgrade with rock substratum to a moving point load is derived. The subgrade profile is divided into two layers. The upper layer is modeled by an elastic medium and the lower layer by a fully saturated poroelastic medium governed by Biot’s theory. In the meanwhile, the subgrade is resting on the rock substratum. The analytical solutions for stress, displacement and pore pressure are derived by using the Fourier transform. Numerical results obtained by using the inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) are used to analyze the influence of the moving load velocity, the thickness of an elastic medium layer and a fully saturated poroelastic medium layer on the dynamic response.  相似文献

Exact solutions for generally supported functionally graded plane beams are given within the framework of symplectic elasticity. The Young’s modulus is assumed to exponentially vary along the longitudinal direction while the Poisson’s ratio remains constant. The state equation with a shift-Hamiltonian operator matrix has been established in the previous work, which is limited to the Saint-Venant solution. Here, a complete rational analysis of the displacement and stress distributions in the beam is presented by exploring the eigensolutions that are usually covered up by the Saint-Venant principle. These solutions play a significant role in the local behavior of materials that is usually ignored in the conventional elasticity methods but possibly crucial to the material/structure failures. The analysis makes full use of the symplectic orthogonality of the eigensolutions. Two illustrative examples are presented to compare the displacement and stress results with those for homogenous materials, demonstrating the effects of material inhomogeneity.  相似文献

The analytical continuation method is adopted to solve a mixed electric boundary value problem for a piezoelectric medium under anti-plane deformation. The crack face is partly conductive and partly impermeable. The results show that the stress intensity factor is identical with the mode III stress intensity factor independent of the conducting length. But the electric field and the electric displacement are dependent on the electric boundary conditions on the crack faces and are singular not only at the crack tips but also at the junctures between the impermeable part and conducting portions.  相似文献

Critical velocity of an infinite long sandwich shell under moving internal pressure is studied using the sandwich shell theory and elastodynamics theory. Propagation of axisymmetric free harmonic waves in the sandwich shell is studied using the sandwich shell theory by considering compressibility and transverse shear deformation of the core, and transverse shear deformation of face sheets. Based on the elastodynamics theory, displacement components expanded by Legendre polynomials, and position-dependent elastic constants and densities are introduced into the equations of motion. Critical velocity is the minimum phase velocity on the desperation relation curve obtained by using the two methods. Numerical examples and the finite element (FE) simulations are presented. The results show that the two critical velocities agree well with each other, and two desperation relation curves agree well with each other when the wave number k is relatively small. However, two limit phase velocities approach to the shear wave velocities of the face sheet and the core respectively when k limits to infinite. The two methods are efficient in the investigation of wave propagation in a sandwich cylindrical shell when k is relatively small. The critical velocity predicted in the FE simulations agrees with theoretical prediction.  相似文献
