Let M be the annulus sum of M1 and M2 along A1 and A2. In the present paper, we give a lower bound for the genus of the annulus sum M in the condition of the Heegaard distances of the submanifolds M1 and M2     

ESTIMATE ON LOWER BOUND OF THE FIRST EIGENVALUE OF A COMPACT RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD

The author gives an optimum estimate of the first eigenvalue of a compact Riemannian manifold. It is shown that let M be a compact Riemannian manifold, then the first eigenvalue λ_1 of the Laplace operator of M satisfies α_1+max{0,-(n-1)K}≥π~2/d~2 where d is the diameter of M and (n-1)K is the negative lower bound of the Ricci curvature of M.

Abstract In the present paper, some basic properties of MP filters of Ro algebra M are investigated. It is proved that（FMP（M）,包含,′∧^-∨^-,{1},M）is a bounded distributive lattice by introducing the negation operator ′, the meet operator ∧^-, the join operator ∨^- and the implicati on operator → on the set FMP（M） of all MP filters of M. Moreover, some conditions under which （FMP（M）,包含,′∨^-,→{1},M）is an Ro algebra are given. And the relationship between prime elements of FMP （M） and prime filters of M is studied. Finally, some equivalent characterizations of prime elements of .FMP （M） are obtained.

Generalized Ejiri's Rigidity Theorem for Submanifolds in Pinched Manifolds

Let $M^{n}(n\geq4)$ be an oriented compact submanifold with parallel mean curvature in an $(n+p)$-dimensional complete simply connected Riemannian manifold $N^{n+p}$. Then there exists a constant $\delta(n,p)\in(0,1)$ such that if the sectional curvature of $N$ satisfies $\ov{K}_{N}\in[\delta(n,p), 1]$, and if $M$ has a lower bound for Ricci curvature and an upper bound for scalar curvature, then $N$ is isometric to $S^{n+p}$. Moreover, $M$ is either a totally umbilic sphere $S^n\big(\frac{1}{\sqrt{1+H^2}}\big)$, a Clifford hypersurface $S^{m}\big(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2(1+H^2)}}\big)\times S^{m}\big(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2(1+H^2)}}\big)$ in the totally umbilic sphere $S^{n+1}\big(\frac{1}{\sqrt{1+H^2}}\big)$ with $n=2m$, or $\mathbb{C}P^{2}\big(\frac{4}{3}(1+H^2)\big)$ in $S^7\big(\frac{1}{\sqrt{1+H^2}}\big)$. This is a generalization of Ejiri''s rigidity theorem.     

Hilbert-Schmidtness of Submodules in $H^2 (\mathbb{D}^2 )$ Containing $θ(z)−\varphi (w)$

A closed subspace $M$ of the Hardy space $H^2(\mathbb{D}^2)$ over the bidisk is called submodule if it is invariant under multiplication by coordinate functions $z$ and $w.$ Whether every finitely generated submodule is Hilbert-Schmidt is an unsolved problem. This paper proves that every finitely generated submodule $M$ containing $θ(z)−\varphi(w)$ is Hilbert-Schmidt, where $θ(z),$ $\varphi(w)$ are two finite Blaschke products.     

有亏格为1的Heegaard分解的三维流形中的环面纽结

将存在亏格为1的Heegaard分解T’1∪F T’2的三维流形记为M=L(p,q),其中p和q是互素整数,q/p为T’2的纬线在T’1上的斜率.若环面F上的简单闭曲线γ在M中非平凡,则称γ是M中的环面纽结.本文对在M中沿环面纽结作m/n-Dehn手术所得流形进行了分类,并给出了两个实心环体沿边界上平环作融合所得流形是L(p,q)中环面纽结补的特征描述.     

$QTAG$-Modules whose $h$-Pure-$S$-High Submodules Have Closure

A right module $M$ over an associative ring $R$ with unity is a $QTAG$-module if every finitely generated submodule of any homomorphic image of $M$ is a direct sum of uniserial modules. This article considers the closure of $h$-pure-$S$-high submodules of $QTAG$-modules. Here, we determine all submodules $S$ of a $QTAG$-module $M$ such that each closure of $h$-pure-$S$-high submodule of $M$ is $h$-pure-$\overline{S}$-high in $\overline{M}$. A few results of this theme give a comparison of some elementary properties of $h$-pure-$S$-high and $S$-high submodules.     

广义Macaulay-Northcott模与Tor-群

Let （S,≤） be a strictly totally ordered monoid which is also artinian, and R a right noetherian ring. Assume that M is a finitely generated right R-module and N is a left Rmodule. Denote by [[MS,≤]] and [NS,≤] the module of generalized power series over M, and the generalized Macaulay-Northcott module over N, respectively. Then we show that there exists an isomorphism of Abelian groups：Tori[[ RS,≤]]（[[MS,≤]],[NS,≤]）≌ s∈S ToriR （M,N）.     

Frobenius扩张上的$n$-Gorenstein投射模和维数

In this paper, we study n-Gorenstein projective modules over Frobenius extensions and n-Gorenstein projective dimensions over separable Frobenius extensions. Let R ■ A be a Frobenius extension of rings and M any left A-module. It is proved that M is an n-Gorenstein projective left A-module if and only if A ■_RM and Hom_R(A, M) are n-Gorenstein projective left A-modules if and only if M is an n-Gorenstein projective left R-module. Furthermore, when R ■ A is a separable Frobenius extension, n-Gorenstein projective dimensions are considered.     

On 3-Submanifolds of S^3 Which Admit Complete Spanning Curve Systems

Let M be a compact connected 3-submanifold of the 3-sphere S~3 with one boundary component F such that there exists a collection of n pairwise disjoint connected orientable surfaces S = {S_1, ···, S_n} properly embedded in M, ?S = {?S_1, ···, ?S_n}is a complete curve system on F. We call S a complete surface system for M, and ?S a complete spanning curve system for M. In the present paper, the authors show that the equivalent classes of complete spanning curve systems for M are unique, that is, any complete spanning curve system for M is equivalent to ?S. As an application of the result,it is shown that the image of the natural homomorphism from the mapping class group M(M) to M(F) is a subgroup of the handlebody subgroup Hn.

SOME THEOREMS ON CONVEX HYPERSURFACES IN AN AFFINE SPACE

Let M and M~* be hypersurfaces in an affine space A~(n+1) of dimension n+1. The main results of this paper are the following:(1) Two types of integral formulas for M and M~*.(2) Some conditions for an affine convex hypersurface to be an affine sphere.(3) Some conditions for M and M~* to be different only by an affine transformation or a translation.     

The Gradient Estimate of a Neumann Eigenfunction on a Compact Manifold with Boundary

Let e_λ(x) be a Neumann eigenfunction with respect to the positive Laplacian A on a compact Riemannian manifold M with boundary such that △e_λ=λ~2e_λ in the interior of M and the normal derivative of e\ vanishes on the boundary of M.Let χλ be the unit band spectral projection operator associated with the Neumann Laplacian and f be a square integrable function on M.The authors show the following gradient estimate for χλf as λ≥1:‖▽χλ f‖∞≤C(λ‖χλ f‖∞+λ~(-1)‖△χλf‖∞),where C is a positive constant depending only on M,As a corollary,the authors obtain the gradient estimate of e_λ:For every λ≥1,it holds that ‖▽e_λ‖∞≤Cλ‖e_λ‖∞.     

On Jordan Biderivations of Triangular Matrix Rings

Let $R$ and $S$ be rings with identity, $M$ be a unitary $(R,S)$-bimodule and $T=\left(\begin{array}{cc}R & M \\ 0 & S\end{array}\right) $ be the upper triangular matrix ring determined by $R$, $S$ and $M$. In this paper we prove that under certain conditions a Jordan biderivation of an upper triangular matrix ring $T$ is a biderivation of $T$.     

Cluster Partition Function and Invariants of 3-Manifolds

The author reviews some recent developments in Chern-Simons theory on a hyperbolic 3-manifold M with complex gauge group G.The author focuses on the case of G =SL(N,C) and M being a knot complement:M =S3 \ k.The main result presented in this note is the cluster partition function,a computational tool that uses cluster algebra techniques to evaluate the Chern-Simons path integral for G =SL(N,C).He also reviews various applications and open questions regarding the cluster partition function and some of its relation with string theory.
