Data-sparse approximation to a class of operator-valued functions

In earlier papers we developed a method for the data-sparse approximation of the solution operators for elliptic, parabolic, and hyperbolic PDEs based on the Dunford-Cauchy representation to the operator-valued functions of interest combined with the hierarchical matrix approximation of the operator resolvents. In the present paper, we discuss how these techniques can be applied to approximate a hierarchy of the operator-valued functions generated by an elliptic operator .

Using operator-valued $\dot{C}^\alpha$-Fourier multiplier results on vector- valued H\"older continuous function spaces, we give a characterization for the $C^\alpha$-well-posedness of the first order degenerate differential equations with infinite delay $(Mu)"(t) = Au(t) + \int_{-\infty}^t a(t-s)Au(s)ds + f(t)$ ($t\in\R$), where $A, M$ are closed operators on a Banach space $X$ such that $D(A)\cap D(M)\neq \{0\}$, $a\in L^1_{\rm{loc}}(\R_+)\cap L^1(\mathbb{R}_+; t^\alpha dt)$.

Weighted Laplace transforms and Bessel functions on Hermitian symmetric spaces

This paper defines -weighted Laplace transforms on the spaces of -covariant functions. By the inverse Laplace transform we define operator-valued Bessel functions. We also study the holomorphic discrete series of the automorphism group of a Siegel domain of type II.

     

α-FUZZY PAIRWISE RETRACT OF L-VALUED PAIRWISE STRATIFICATION SPACES

The notion of a fuzzy retract was introduced by Rodabaugh (1981). The notion of a fuzzy pairwise retract was introduced in 2001. Some weak forms and some strong forms of α-continuous mappings were introduced in 1988 and 1997. The authors extend some of these forms to the L-fuzzy bitopological setting and construct various α-fuzzy pairwise retracts. The concept of weakly induced spaces in the case L = [0,1] was introduced by Martin (1980). Liu and Luo (1987) generalized this notion to the case that L is an arbitrary F-lattice and introduced the notion of induced L-fts. Several results are obtained, especially, for L-valued pairwise stratification spaces.

The signless Dirichlet eigenvalue is a real number λ such that there exists a function f ≠ 0 on V(G) such that Q(G)f(u) = λf(u) for u ∈ V_0 and f(u) = 0 for u ∈ ?V. The signless Dirichlet spectral radiusλ(G) is the largest signless Dirichlet eigenvalue. In this paper, the unicyclic graphs with the largest signless Dirichlet spectral radius among all unicyclic graphs with a given degree sequence are characterized.     

Semi-finite forms of bilateral basic hypergeometric series

We show that several classical bilateral summation and transformation formulas have semi-finite forms. We obtain these semi-finite forms from unilateral summation and transformation formulas. Our method can be applied to derive Ramanujan's summation, Bailey's transformations, and Bailey's summation.
