A non-autonomous single species dispersal model is considered, in which individual member of the population has a life history that goes through two stages, immature and mature. By applying the theory of monotone and concave operators to functional differential equations, we establish conditions under which the system admits a positive periodic solution which attracts all other positive solutions.  相似文献

The dynamics of a predator-prey system, where prey population has two stages, an immature stage and a mature stage with harvesting, the growth of predator population is of Lotka-Volterra nature, are modelled by a system of retarded functional differential equations. We obtain conditions for global asymptotic stability of three nonnegative equilibria and a threshold of harvesting for the mature prey population. The effect of delay on the population at positive equilibrium and the optimal harvesting of the mature prey population are also considered.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear age-structured model, inspired by hematopoiesis modelling, describing the dynamics of a cell population divided into mature and immature cells. Immature cells, that can be either proliferating or non-proliferating, differentiate in mature cells, that in turn control the immature cell population through a negative feedback. We reduce the system to two delay differential equations, and we investigate the asymptotic stability of the trivial and the positive steady states. By constructing a Lyapunov function, the trivial steady state is proven to be globally asymptotically stable when it is the only equilibrium of the system. The asymptotic stability of the positive steady state is related to a delay-dependent characteristic equation. Existence of a Hopf bifurcation and stability switch for the positive steady state is established. Numerical simulations illustrate the stability results.  相似文献

We study the global dynamics of a nonlocal population model with age structure in a bounded domain. We mainly concern with the case where the birth rate decreases as the mature population size become large. The analysis is rather subtle and it is inadequate to apply the powerful theory of monotone dynamical systems. By using the method of super-sub solutions, combined with the careful analysis of the kernel function in the nonlocal term, we prove nonexistence, existence and uniqueness of positive steady states of the model.Moreover, due to the mature individuals do not diffuse, the solution semiflow to the model is not compact. To overcome the difficulty of non-compactness in describing the global asymptotic stability of the unique positive steady state, we first establish an appropriate comparison principle. With the help of the comparison principle,we can employ the theory of dissipative systems to obtain the global asymptotic stability of the unique positive steady state. The main results are illustrated with the nonlocal Nicholson's blowflies equation and the nonlocal Mackey-Glass equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a single-species growth model with stage-structure consisting of immature and mature stages for the effects of toxicants with constant maturation time-delay. We study the dynamics of our model in three cases: an instantaneous emission of toxicant, a constant emission of toxicant, and a periodic emission of toxicant into the environment. We present results on positivity and boundedness of all solutions under appropriate conditions. The model equations are analyzed mathematically with regard to the nature of equilibria and their stabilities using the theory of nonlinear differential equations and computer simulations. It is shown that under suitable conditions, there exists a globally asymptotically stable positive equilibrium. It is concluded from the analysis that as the concentration of toxicant in the environment increases, equilibrium densities of both immature and mature populations decrease. It is also noted that the effects of toxicants are more on the equilibrium level of immature population in comparison to the mature population.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a nonautonomous system with mixed functional response is studied. The population has a history that takes them through two stages, immature and mature. The effects of diffusion on population growth in a polluted patch environment are discussed. Some sufficient conditions on permanence and extinction of population are obtained. Under some appropriate conditions, the asymptotically stability of the periodic solution is obtained. Moreover, a stochastic model is proposed and the conditions for the existence of a global positive solution are discussed.  相似文献

This paper concerns with a new delayed predator–prey model with stage structure on prey, in which the immature prey and the mature prey are preyed by predator and the delay is the length of the immature stage. Mathematical analysis of the model equations is given with regard to invariance of non-negativity, boundedness of solutions, permanence and global stability and nature of equilibria. Our work shows that the stage structure on the prey is one of the important factors that affect the extinction of the predator, and the predation on immature prey is a cause of periodic oscillation of population and can make the behaviors of the system more complex. The predation on the immature and mature prey brings both positive and negative effects on the permanence of the predator, if ignore the predation on immature prey in the system, the stage-structure on prey brings only negative effect on the permanence of the predator.  相似文献

This paper analyzes a certain type of impulsive differential equations (IDEs). Several useful theorems for its periodic solutions and their stabilities are given. The key idea is that a periodically time-dependent IDE can be transformed into the state-dependent IDE. As applications of our theory, the optimization problems in population dynamics are studied. That is, the maximum sustainable yields of single population models with periodically impulsive constant harvesting are discussed. Furthermore, we apply these results to the studies of the order-1 periodic solutions and their stability of a single population model with stage structure in which the mature is impulsively proportionally harvested while the immature is impulsively added with the constant.  相似文献

In this paper, an age‐structured population model with the form of neutral functional differential equation is studied. We discuss the stability of the positive equilibrium by analyzing the characteristic equation. Local Hopf bifurcation results are also obtained by choosing the mature delay as bifurcation parameter. On the center manifold, the normal form of the Hopf bifurcation is derived, and explicit formulae for determining the criticality of bifurcation are theoretically given. Moreover, the global continuation of Hopf bifurcating periodic solutions is investigated by using the global Hopf bifurcation theory of neutral equations. Finally, some numerical examples are carried out to support the main results.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the discrete nonlinear delay model which describe the control of a single population of cells. We establish a sufficient condition for oscillation of all positive solutions about the positive equilibrium point and give a sufficient condition for the global attractivity of the equilibrium point. The oscillation condition guarantees the prevalence of the population about the positive steady sate and the global attractivity condition guarantees the nonexistence of dynamical diseases on the population.  相似文献

In this paper, we concentrates on the study of a single stage-structured population model with mature individuals in a polluted environment and pulse input of environmental toxin. Uncontrolled contribution of pollutant to the environment has led many species to extinction and several others are at the verge of extinction. This article deals with the dynamics of a single stage-structured population model with impulsive toxin input and time delays (including constant individual maturation time delay and pollution time delay) in a polluted environment, in which we assume that only the mature individuals are affected by pollutants. We obtain conditions for the global attractivity of the population-extinction periodic solution and the permanence of the population. We show that maturation time delay and impulsive toxin input can bring great effects on the dynamics of the system, and pollution time delay is harmless. In this paper, we deal with a diffusive predator-prey model with mixed boundary conditions, in which the prey population can escape from the boundary of the domain while predator population can only live in this area and can not leave. We first investigate the asymptotic behaviour of positive solutions and obtain a necessary condition ensuring the existence of positive steady state solutions.
