Mathematical formulation for analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering from multilayer anisotropic homogeneous metamaterial structures with general tensors is presented. The result is reflection and transmission matrices formulas. Then, closed form formulas are extracted for structures with diagonal tensors. We try to find structures with exact zero reflection for general incident waves. New cases with zero and low reflection are introduced.  相似文献

A solution to the two-dimensional scattering properties of a conducting elliptic cylinder coated with a homogeneous anisotropic elliptical shell is obtained. The conducting elliptic cylinder and the shell have the same eccentricity. The transmitted and scattered fields of the anisotropic shell are expressed as Mathieu functions in elliptic coordinates. The unknown coefficients of the scattered and transmitted fields are solved with the aid of the boundary conditions and the Galerkin's method. Only the transverse magnetic (TM) polarization is presented and the transverse electric (TE) polarization can be obtained in the same way. Some numerical results are presented and discussed. As expected the result is in agreement with that available when the coated elliptic cylinder degenerates to a coated circular one.  相似文献

We extend the layer multiple-scattering theory (LMST) to elastic waves propagating in two-dimensional (2D) periodical composites. The formalism to calculate the reflection and transmission coefficients for elastic waves through finite slabs is presented. In this spirit, the crystal is viewed as a sequence of identical monolayer which has one-dimensional (1D) periodicity along a given direction. The reflection and transmission coefficients for a multilayer slab can be obtained by a double-layer scheme through the calculation of the scattering matrix of a monolayer. To demonstrate the application of this formalism, we calculate transmission coefficients for systems consisting of pure solid components or mixing (solid and fluid) components. The validity of this method is checked by both band structure calculations and transmission measurement of ultrasonic experiment.  相似文献

We have obtained strict formulas (without approximations) for the reflection and transmission coefficients of electromagnetic waves with an arbitrary polarization in an isotropic medium with a one-dimensional layer of an inhomogeneity of an arbitrary profile playing the role of a transition layer between two different homogeneous media. Since these formulas involve values that are found by numerically integrating the first-order ordinary differential equations, the result of this paper is a fast and convenient method for calculating the above coefficients. The calculated results for two particular cases are given. 综合等效介质理论和表面等离子激元(SPP)Bloch模型,对比分析了两种新的亚波长光栅结构:二维矩形金属光栅和二维椭圆柱金属光栅。利用时域有限差分(FDTD)算法,对比分析了两种结构的透射率及其相位延迟与入射光波长及偏振角变化的关系,尤其两种结构实现λ/4波片功能所对应的透射特性。仿真结果表明,当入射光偏振角为75°时,两种结构均可实现λ/4波片功能,此时二维矩形和椭圆柱金属光栅的透射率分别为0.77和0.67,表明二维矩形金属光栅比椭圆柱光栅具有更好的透射效果。对应550~800nm的入射波长,两种光栅在各自允许的入射偏振角范围内均表现了较为平坦的宽带透射特性。  相似文献

A perfectly conducting elliptical cylinder filled with a warm plasma and immersed in an infinite axial magnetic field is considered. Using Maxwell’s equations and dielectric tensor, a Mathieu differential equation for axial component of electric field is obtained. Considering the boundary conditions, dispersion relation for waves in a plasma of warm electrons and immobile ions, which fills an elliptical waveguide and it is under the action of infinite axial magnetic field are calculated. Furthermore, dispersion relation and scalar potential in the quasi-static approximation in a cold magnetized plasma elliptical waveguide is calculated. A solution to the problem of Gaussian beam scattering by an anisotropically coated circular cylinder is presented. The incident Gaussian beam source is expanded as an approximate expression in the simple form with a Tayor’s series. The transmitted field in the anisotropically coated region is expressed as a infinite summation of eigen plane waves with different polar angles. The unknown coefficients of the scattered fields are obtained with the aid of the boundary conditions. The infinite series can be truncated under the prerequisite of achieving the solution convergence. Only the case of transverse-electric polarization is discussed. The similar formulation of transverse-magnetic polarization can be obtained by adopting the similar method. Some numerical results are presented and discussed. The result is in agreement with that available as expected when the Gaussian beam degenerates to a plane wave incidence case.  相似文献

Using the finite-difference time-domain method, we solve the problem of diffraction of a guided mode of a planar dielectric waveguide by an arbitrary-shaped body. Particular results are obtained for the scatterers in the form of isolated circular and elliptic cylinders and metal strips. We calculate the reflection and transmission coefficients of the mode along with the field structure in the near zone. Comparison with the results obtained by expansion in terms of plane waves is performed for a test problem of diffraction of the mode by a circular metal cylinder.  相似文献

The reflection and transmission of a light wave normally incident on a layer with a regular magnetic inhomogeneity described by a harmonic function are investigated. Solutions to the Maxwell equations for such a medium and the Jones matrices determining the magneto-optical characteristics of the structure under consideration (the coefficients of transmission and reflection and the degrees of polarization of transmitted and reflected waves) are obtained.  相似文献

Propagation of spin waves (SWs) through a periodic multilayered magnetic structure is analyzed. It is assumed that the structure consists of ferromagnetic layers having the same thickness but different magnetizations. The wave spectrum obtained contains forbidden zones (stop bands) in which wave propagation is prohibited. Introduction into the structure of the ferromagnetic layer with a different thickness breaks the structural symmetry and leads to a localization of the SW mode with the frequency lying in the stop band. Reflection of the wave by the structure of the finite length and transmission of the wave through the structure are also investigated. Numerical calculations of the wave dispersion and the transmission coefficients for symmetrical periodic structures as well as the structures with a defect are presented. Drawing an analogy from photonic crystals known in optics, such magnetic structures can be called one-dimensional (1-D) magnonic crystals (MCs). The possibilities of existence of the 2-D MCs are also discussed.  相似文献

利用部分波展开法求解得到了Gauss声束入射下刚性和非刚性椭圆柱的声散射系数,推导了一般情况下的声辐射力矩表达式.在此基础上,通过一系列数值仿真详细分析了离轴距离、入射角度和束腰半径对声辐射力矩的影响.结果表明:正向与负向声辐射力矩均可以在一定条件下存在;低频情况下刚性椭圆柱比非刚性椭圆柱更容易产生较强的声辐射力矩;特定频率的入射声场可以激发出非刚性椭圆柱不同阶的共振散射模式,因而非刚性椭圆柱的声辐射力矩峰值与频率的关系更密切;增加束腰半径有利于扩大散射截面,进而增加椭圆柱的声辐射力矩.该研究结果预期可以为利用声辐射力矩实现粒子的可控旋转和流体黏度的反演提供一定的理论指导.  相似文献

电磁波的极化态在信号传输和灵敏度测量中有非常重要的应用价值. 本文设计、仿真并实验验证了微波频段基于开口椭圆环谐振器的极化旋转超表面. 理论上, 将多阶表面等离子谐振和高阻抗表面相结合, 解释了多谐振点、高效率极化旋转的物理机理. 数值上, 通过对结构参数的仿真分析, 给出了运用开口椭圆环结构设计多频段、超宽带高效极化旋转超表面的方法. 所设计和制作的超表面能够在相对带宽104.5%的频率范围内实现大于85%的极化旋转效率. 这些工作将为极化操控超表面的设计和应用提供重要帮助.  相似文献

We report a near-field study of the excitation and propagation of surface plasmon on ordered Ag elliptical hole arrays with a scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscope. Strong dipole-like local plasmon is identified at each individual hole from near-field optical intensity and phase images. The excitation of the local plasmon at the elliptical hole is found to follow polarization excitation constraint. The coherent superposition of these local plasmon waves to form an extended surface plasmon wave propagating to an adjacent hole array is observed directly. The reflection of s- and p-polarised electromagnetic plane waves from an N-layer system of anisotropic dielectric films upon transparent homogeneous substrate is investigated in the long-wavelength approximation. The analytical expressions are obtained for the amplitude reflection (transmission) coefficients, reflectances (transmittances), and ellipsometric angles of an anisotropic multilayer thin-film system. All analytical results are in agreement with the numerical solution of the reflection problem for anisotropic stratified medium. The possibilities of using obtained expressions for resolving the inverse problem for ultrathin anisotropic films upon isotropic substrates are discussed.  相似文献

The reflection of linearly polarized light from a multilayer system of ultrathin dielectric surface films is investigated both analytically in the long-wavelength limit and numerically by the standard way of calculating the reflection characteristics for the layered medium. The second-order approximate formulas for reflection coefficients and characteristic reflection angles are derived and their accuracy is estimated. It is shown that approximate expressions obtained for reflection parameters of multilayer system in the long-wavelength limit are of immediate interest to the solution of the inverse problem for ultrathin layered surface structures. Innovative possibilities for optical diagnostics are generated by means of polarizing and principal angles. For determining the parameters of multiple surface layers an appropriate method is found by combining differential reflectance with ellipsometry.  相似文献

In order to improve the measuring precision of complex transmission coefficients in impedance tube, the influence that comes from the transmission-reflection wave in the transmission tube is analyzed, and the modified formulas of complex reflection and complex transmission coefficients are proposed. With the experiment of organic glass, it can be confirmed that the modified formulas are useful and can decrease the demand of the tube end. Through the measurement of the complex transmission coefficients of multilayer acoustical panel, the complex transmission coefficients of multilayer both forward and backward incidences are definitely the same in theory either normal or oblique incidence. When sound wave is normal incidence, the method is also verified to be correct with experiments in impedance tube.  相似文献

对耦合微环谐振腔光波导中的有限尺寸效应进行了研究.在CMROW两端引入抗反射结构,采用数值方法对抗反射中的三个交叉耦合系数进行了优化,消除了透射谱和群时延谱的有限尺寸效应.数值计算得到了弱耦合和强耦合情况下抗反射结构中优化交叉耦合系数的拟合公式,可以直接计算出消除有限尺寸效应时所需的优化参量.  相似文献

理论上研究了射频场作用下多塞曼能级系统中单色激光的吸收抑制现象.一束单色线偏振或者椭圆偏振的激光作用于铷原子两能级间,线或椭圆偏振矢量方向与磁场方向垂直.在磁场中冷铷原子能级发生分裂,通过一个射频场将这些磁子能级耦合起来.当扫描射频场频率时,计算表明原子对单色光的吸收谱中出现了透射峰,类似于电磁诱导透明现象,光吸收减弱,光场透射增强.对于线性偏振或者椭圆偏振的单色光均能得到透射增强的结果 .这种现象完全不同于通常光泵磁共振实验中射频场与磁子能级谐振时光被吸收最多的现象.这种扫描射频场频率时单色光的透射增强现象来自于磁子能级间的相干效应.计算表明在扫描射频场频率时单色光吸收谱中出现的透射峰与射频场的拉比频率和椭圆偏振光的左旋和右旋圆偏振成分相关.这种射频场控制的单色光透射增强效应在磁场测量,光信息处理等领域有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献
