通过将单回路镜像对称开口金属环结构印制在高介电常数基板上,实现了一种金属含量比传统负折射材料更少,"双负"通带比全介质负折射材料更宽的负折射材料.分析了高介电常数基板产生负介电常数以及"双负"通带形成的机理,通过仿真实验分析了影响"双负"通带的因素.通过制作样品验证了这一机理实现"双负"的可行性,理论分析与实验结果都表明这种方法可实现较宽频段内的"双负"通带. 关键词: 负折射材料 负介电常数 负磁导率 介质谐振器原理  相似文献

We verified experimentally left-handed metamaterials (LHM) composed of coplanar electric and magnetic resonators. A typical LHM sample composed of coplanar resonator unit cells was fabricated, investigated and tested. The experimental results show that the tested sample has a left-handed band of width 1.4 GHz in the X band. The experimental results agree quite well with the simulation ones. Moreover, both the simulation and experimental results show that the LHM under study can automatically achieve good impedance-matching in the left-handed band.  相似文献

A planar left-handed metamaterial(LHM) composed of electric resonator pairs is presented in this paper.Theoretical analysis,an equivalent circuit model and simulated results of a wedge sample show that this material exhibits a negative refraction pass-band around 9.6GHz under normal-incidence and is insensitive to a change in incidence angle.Furthermore,as the angle between the arm of the electric resonators and the strip connecting the arms increases,the frequency range of the pass-band shifts downwards.Consequently,this LHM guarantees a relatively stable torlerence of errors when it is practically fabricated.Moreover,it is a candidate for designing multi-band LHM through combining the resonator pairs with different angles.  相似文献

A polarization-insensitive unidirectional spoof surface plasmon polariton(SPP) coupler mediated by a gradient metasurface is proposed. The field distributions and average Poynting vector of the coupled spoof SPPs are analyzed. The simulated and experimental results support the theoretical analysis and indicate that the designed gradient metasurface can couple both the parallel-polarized and normally-polarized incident waves to the spoof SPPs propagating in the same direction at about 5 GHz.  相似文献

A chiral metasurface is proposed to realize a tri-band polarization angle insensitive cross-polarization converter. The unit cell of the chiral metamaterial is composed by four twisted anisotropic structure pairs in four-fold rotation symmetry.The simulation results show that this device can work at 9.824 GHz, 11.39 GHz, and 13.37 GHz with low loss and a high polarization conversion ratio(PCR) of more than 99%. The proposed design can transmit the co-polarization wave at14.215 GHz, like a frequency selective surface. The study of the current and electric fields distributions indicates that the cross-polarization transmission is due to electric dipole coupling.  相似文献

The quantum tunneling effect (QTE) in a cavity-resonator-coupled (CRC) array was analytically and numerically investigated. The underlying mechanism was interpreted by treating electromagnetic waves as photons, and then was generalized to acoustic waves and matter waves. It is indicated that for the three kinds of waves, the QTE can be excited by cavity resonance in a CRC array, resulting in sub-wavelength transparency through the narrow splits between cavities. This opens up opportunities for designing new types of crystals based on CRC arrays, which may find potential applications such as quantum devices, micro-optic transmission, and acoustic manipulation.  相似文献

Based on the substrate integrated waveguide technology,we present a dual-band frequency selective surface(FSS) with a quasi-elliptic bandpass response.The characteristics of the quasi-elliptic bandpass response are realized by shunting two substrate integrated waveguide cavities of different sizes,with the same slots on both sides of the metal surfaces.Four cavities of different sizes and two slots of different sizes are used to design the novel FSS.Every bandpass response with sharp sidebands is induced by two transmission nulls that are generated by the coupling between the slot aperture resonance and the cavity resonance.The simulation results show that such dual-band FSS has the advantages of high selectivity and stable performance at different oblique incident angles.Moreover,it is easy to fabricate.  相似文献

<正>A method of fabricating dual-band left-handed metematerials(LHMs) is investigated numerically and experimentally by single-sided tree-like fractals.The resulting structure features multiband magnetic resonances and two electric resonances.By appropriately adjusting the dimensions,two left-handed(LH) bands with simultaneous negative permittivity and permeability are engineered and are validated by full-wave eigenmode analysis and measurement as well in the microwave frequency range.To study the multi-resonant mechanism in depth,the LHM is analysed from three different perspectives of field distribution analysis,circuit model analysis,and geometrical parameters evaluation.The derived formulae are consistent with all simulated results and resulting electromagnetic phenomena,indicating the effectiveness of the established theory.The method provides an alternative to the design of multi-band LHM and has the advantage of not requiring two individual resonant particles and electrically continuous wires,which in turn facilitates planar design and considerably simplifies the fabrication.  相似文献

We simplify the material parameter equation for elliptical cylinder cloaks under transverse-electric and transverse-magnetic models, respectively, and confirm these simplified equations by numerical simulations. As a result, the number of the component parameters is reduced from three to two, which simplifies the design of meta-materials and thus opens up the possibility of achieving elliptical cylinder cloaks in an easy way.  相似文献

Deep sub-wavelength metamaterials are the key to the further development of practical metamaterials with small volumes and broadband properties. We propose to reduce the electrical sizes of metamaterials down to more sub-wavelength scales by lowering the plasma frequencies of metallic wires. The theoretical model is firstly established by analyzing the plasma frequency of continuous thin wires. By introducing more inductance elements, the effective electron mass can be enhanced drastically, leading to significantly lowered plasma frequencies. Based on this theory, we demonstrate that both the electric and the magnetic plasma frequencies of metamaterials can be lowered significantly and thus the electrical sizes of metamaterials can be reduced to more sub-wavelength scales. This provides an efficient route to deep sub-wavelength metamaterials and will give rigorous impetus for the further development of practical metamaterials.  相似文献
