The possible place to search for exotic states in J/ψ hadronic decays is in J/ψ →ρρπ. Because of the symmetry of identical particle and the symmetry of isospin, the physical analysis on this channel is quite complicated. In this paper, the method to use the partial wave analysis based on covariant helicity amplitude analysis to study the invariant mass spectrum of ρρπ and to find the evidence of exotic states in ρρπ spectrum is discussed. The decay amplitude for the decay sequence J/ψ→ρX, X →ρπ is given first. Then we discuss how to realize the identical particle symmetry and the isospin symmetry in the decay amplitude, which is the key point in the analysis of this channel. Then the total decay amplitude of this channel including all decay components is given. After that, how to identify the exotic states in the ρρπ spectrum is discussed. What is discussed in this paper is the theoretical basis on experimentally searching for exotic states at BEPC/BES.  相似文献

Based on the naive quark model, we calculate angular distributions for heavy quarkonium decays into pN* (1440), decuplet baryon pairs, and octet-decuplet baryon pairs. The general formulae of angular distributions are given explicitly. Quark mass effects on the violation of the helicity conservation and the prospect to look for them in J/ψ hadronic decays are discussed.  相似文献

The experimental observation indicates that the branching ratio of ψ'→ρπ is very small while the ρ-π channel is a main one in J/ψ decays. To understand the puzzle, various interpretations have been proposed. Meanwhile according to the hadronic helicity selection rule, this decay mode should be suppressed. Numerical calculations are needed to determine how it is suppressed. We calculate the branching ratios of J/ψ→ρπ and ππ in the framework of QCD. The results show that the branching ratios are proportional to (mu+md/MJ/ψ)^2 for the ρπ mode and (mu-md/MJ/ψ)^2 for the ππ mode which is isospin violated. The theoretical prediction of the ratio of J/ ψ→ρπ is smaller than data, but not too small to invoke a completely new mechanism. Thus the puzzle is still standing even though we learn much knowledge towards the puzzle and this will help to finally interpret the puzzle and then gain a deeper insight to the heavy quarkonia.  相似文献

The world's largest sample of J/ψ events, 1.31 billion events accumulated at the BESIII detector, provides a unique opportunity to investigate η and η physics via two-body J/ψ radiative or hadronic decays. For many η decay channels the low background data samples are up to three orders of magnitude larger than collected in any previous experiment. Here we review the most significant results on η and η obtained at BESIII so far. The analyses range from detailed studies of common decay dynamics, observations of new radiative and Dalitz decays, and searches for rare/forbidden decays with sensitivity up to B~10-5. Finally, prospects of forthcoming runs at the J/ψ peak forη and η physics are discussed.  相似文献

Significant enhancements of J/ψ production at very low transverse momenta were recently observed by the ALICE and STAR collaborations in peripheral hadronic A+A collisions. The anomalous excess points to coherent photon-nucleus interactions in violent hadronic heavy-ion collisions, which were conventionally studied only in ultra-peripheral collisions. Assuming that the coherent photoproduction is the underlying mechanism responsible for the excess observed in peripheral A+A collisions, its contribution in p+p collisions with nuclear overlap, i.e. nonsingle-diffractive collisions, is of particular interest. In this paper, we perform a calculation of exclusive J/ψ photoproduction in non-single-diffractive p+p collisions at the RHIC and LHC energies based on the pQCD motivated parametrization using the world-wide experimental data, which could be further employed to improve the precision of the phenomenological calculations for photoproduction in A+A collisions. The differential rapidity and transverse momentum distributions of J/ψ from photoproduction are presented. In comparison with the J/ψ production from hadronic interactions, we find that the contribution of photoproduction is negligible.  相似文献

The discovery of unexpected properties of the Higgs boson would offer an intriguing opportunity to shed light on some of the most profound puzzles in particle physics. Beyond Standard Model(BSM) decays of the Higgs boson could reveal new physics in a direct manner. Future electron-positron lepton colliders operating as Higgs factories, including CEPC, FCC-ee and ILC, with the advantages of a clean collider environment and large statistics, could greatly enhance sensitivity in searching for these BSM decays. In this work, we perform a general study of Higgs exotic decays at future e~+e~-lepton colliders, focusing on the Higgs decays with hadronic final states and/or missing energy, which are very challenging for the High-Luminosity program of the Large Hadron Collider(HL-LHC).We show that with simple selection cuts,O(10~(-3)-10~(-5)) limits on the Higgs exotic decay branching fractions can be achieved using the leptonic decaying spectator Z boson in the associated production mode e~+e~-→ZH. We further discuss the interplay between detector performance and Higgs exotic decays, and other possibilities of exotic decays. Our work is a first step in a comprehensive study of Higgs exotic decays at future lepton colliders, which is a key area of Higgs physics that deserves further investigation.  相似文献

We present a Monte Carlo scheme to generate events of J/ψ decays with angular distributions based on the acceptance-rejection sampling method. We test this scheme with J/ψ → pp and J/ψ → ∧∧ → ppπ^ π^-, and the results show that the input angular distributions are well reproduced, and efficiency of the HOWL generator of this scheme is also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper the J/ψ→μ^+μ^- reconstruction performance in the CMS experiment at the LHC is studied in detail by using B8→J/ψφ→μμKK events. The reconstruction efficiencies of J/ψ mesons and their decay muons are obtained as a function of the transverse momentum PT and the pseudo-rapidity η. We also study the muon trigger efficiency for this channel with the planned Level-1 trigger and High Level Trigger selection criteria. It was observed that the muon reconstruction efficiency decreases when the two decay muons have a small or large 3D angular separation, which further affects the overall J/ψ reconstruction efficiency.  相似文献

The energy loss effects of the incident quark, gluon, and the color octet ccˉ on J/ψ suppression in p-A collisions are studied by means of the experimental data at E866, RHIC, and LHC energy. We extracted the transport coefficient for gluon energy loss from the E866 experimental data in the middle x F region(0.20 x F 0.65) based on the Salgado-Wiedemann(SW) quenching weights and the recent EPPS16 nuclear parton distribution functions together with nCTEQ15. It was determined that the difference between the values of the transport coefficient for light quark, gluon, and heavy quark in cold nuclear matter is very small. The theoretical results modified by the parton energy loss effects are consistent with the experimental data for E866 and RHIC energy, and the gluon energy loss plays a remarkable role on J/ψ suppression in a broad variable range. Because the corrections of the nuclear parton distribution functions in the J/ψ channel are significant at LHC energy level, the nuclear modification due to the parton energy loss is minimal. It is worth noting that we use the color evaporation model(CEM) at leading order to compute the p-p baseline, and the conclusion in this paper is CEM model dependent.  相似文献

Using J/ψ decays collected with the BES Ⅲ detector, Lundcharm model parameters are optimized with J/ψlight hadron decays. The dependence of the response function on model parameters is approximated up to the quadratic term, and the model parameters are optimized by simultaneously fitting J/ψ inclusive charged track distributions and event shapes. The Monte Carlo simulations show that optimal parameters yield satisfactory MC distributions as compared to both the J/ψ and ψ(2S) data distributions. These optimal values are suggested for the Lundcharm model to produce J/ψ and ψ(2S) decays to light hadrons.  相似文献

Some experimental techniques and theoretical analysis on unbound nuclei structure study are briefly introduced in this article. The unbound nuclei structure investigation can inspect the reliability of theoretical calculation, and is also important to extend the modern nuclear structure model to exotic nuclear regions. With the recent development of radioactive Ion Beam (RIB) facility and some new experimental methods, the structure of unbound nuclei near drip line can be studied in experiment.  相似文献
