We define a filtration indexed by the integers on the tensor product of a simple highest weight module and a loop module for a quantum affine algebra. We prove that such a filtration is either trivial or strictly decreasing and give sufficient conditions for this to happen. In the first case we prove that the tensor product is simple and in the second case we prove that the intersection of all the modules in the filtration is zero, thus allowing us to define the completed tensor product. In certain special cases, we identify the subsequent quotients of filtration.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a nonlinear age structured McKendrick–von Foerster population model with diffusion term. Here we prove existence and uniqueness of the solution of the equation. We consider a particular type of nonlinearity in the renewal term and prove Generalized Relative Entropy type inequality. Longtime behavior of the solution has been addressed for both linear and nonlinear versions of the equation. In linear case, we prove that the solution converges to the first eigenfunction with an exponential rate. In nonlinear case, we have considered a particular type of nonlinearity that is present in the mortality term in which we can predict the longtime behavior. In this paper, we prove regularity results for weak solutions to some stationary problems arising in the theory of generalized Newtonian fluids with energy transfer. We consider a two-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with concentrated nonlinearity. In both the focusing and defocusing case we prove local well-posedness, i.e., existence and uniqueness of the solution for short times, as well as energy and mass conservation. In addition, we prove that this implies global existence in the defocusing case, irrespective of the power of the nonlinearity, while in the focusing case blowing-up solutions may arise.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some sharp non-existence results for Dirichlet problems of complex Hessian equations. In particular, we consider a complex Monge-Ampère equation which is a local version of the equation of Kähler-Einstein metric. The non-existence results are proved using the Pohožaev method. We also prove existence results for radially symmetric solutions. Themain difference of the complex case with the real case is that we don't know if a priori radially symmetric property holds in the complex case.  相似文献

Various concepts of multilinear summing operators were introduced in the last years, by extending the well-known one from the linear case. In this paper, we prove that, as in the linear case, there is a splitting theorem for dominated operators. Matrix orthogonal polynomials whose derivatives are also orthogonal   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
In this paper we prove some characterizations of the matrix orthogonal polynomials whose derivatives are also orthogonal, which generalize other known ones in the scalar case. In particular, we prove that the corresponding orthogonality matrix functional is characterized by a Pearson-type equation with two matrix polynomials of degree not greater than 2 and 1. The proofs are given for a general sequence of matrix orthogonal polynomials, not necessarily associated with a hermitian functional. We give several examples of non-diagonalizable positive definite weight matrices satisfying a Pearson-type equation, which show that the previous results are non-trivial even in the positive definite case.A detailed analysis is made for the class of matrix functionals which satisfy a Pearson-type equation whose polynomial of degree not greater than 2 is scalar. We characterize the Pearson-type equations of this kind that yield a sequence of matrix orthogonal polynomials, and we prove that these matrix orthogonal polynomials satisfy a second order differential equation even in the non-hermitian case. Finally, we prove and improve a conjecture of Durán and Grünbaum concerning the triviality of this class in the positive definite case, while some examples show the non-triviality for hermitian functionals which are not positive definite.  相似文献

In this paper we study the cohomogeneity one de Sitter space S1 n. We consider the actions in both proper and non-proper cases. In the first case we characterize the acting groups and orbits and we prove that the orbit space is homeomorphic to R. In the latter case we determine the groups and consequently the orbits in some different cases and prove that the orbit space is not Hausdorff.  相似文献

In this paper we study nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems with monotone and nonmonotone multivalued nonlinearities. First we consider the case of monotone nonlinearities. In the first result we assume that the multivalued nonlinearity is defined on all ℝ. Assuming the existence of an upper and of a lower solution, we prove the existence of a solution between them. Also for a special version of the problem, we prove the existence of extremal solutions in the order interval formed by the upper and lower solutions. Then we drop the requirement that the monotone nonlinearity is defined on all of ℝ. This case is important because it covers variational inequalities. Using the theory of operators of monotone type we show that the problem has a solution. Finally in the last part we consider an eigenvalue problem with a nonmonotone multivalued nonlinearity. Using the critical point theory for nonsmooth locally Lipschitz functionals we prove the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions (multiplicity theorem).  相似文献

In this paper, we study the spectral asymptotics for connected fractal domains and Weyl-Berry conjecture. We prove, for some special connected fractal domains, the sharp estimate for second term of counting function asymptotics, which implies that the weak form of the Weyl-Berry conjecture holds for the case. Finally, we also study a naturally connected fractal domain, and we prove, in this case, the weak Weyl-Berry conjecture holds as well. We consider a long Lorentz tube with absorbing boundaries. Particles are injected into the tube from the left end. We compute the equilibrium density profiles in two cases: the semi‐infinite tube (in which case the density is constant) and a long finite tube (in which case the density is linear). In the latter case, we also show that convergence to equilibrium is well described by the heat equation. In order to prove these results, we obtain new results for the Lorentz particle that are of independent interest. First, we show that a particle conditioned not to hit the boundary for a long time converges to the Brownian meander. Second, we prove several local limit theorems for particles having a prescribed behavior in the past. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence of a unique strong solution to a stochastic tamed 3D Navier–Stokes equation in the whole space as well as in the periodic boundary case. Then, we also study the Feller property of solutions, and prove the existence of invariant measures for the corresponding Feller semigroup in the case of periodic conditions. Moreover, in the case of periodic boundary and degenerated additive noise, using the notion of asymptotic strong Feller property proposed by Hairer and Mattingly (Ann. Math. 164:993–1032, 2006), we prove the uniqueness of invariant measures for the corresponding transition semigroup.  相似文献

In this article, we discuss several properties of the basic contact process on hexagonal lattice H, showing that it behaves quite similar to the process on d-dimensional lattice Zd in many aspects. Firstly, we construct a coupling between the contact process on hexagonal lattice and the oriented percolation, and prove an equivalent finite space-time condition for the survival of the process. Secondly, we show the complete convergence theorem and the polynomial growth hold for the contact process on hexagonal lattice. Finally, we prove exponential bounds in the supercritical case and exponential decay rates in the subcritical case of the process.  相似文献

In the classical risk model, we prove the weak convergence of a sequence of empirical finite-time ruin probabilities. In an earlier paper (see Loisel et al., (2008)), we proved an equivalent result in the special case where the initial reserve is zero, and checked that numerically the general case seems to be true. In this paper, we prove the general case (with a nonnegative initial reserve), which is important for applications to estimation risk. So-called partly shifted risk processes are introduced, and used to derive an explicit expression of the asymptotic variance of the considered estimator. This provides a clear representation of the influence function associated with finite time ruin probabilities and gives a useful tool to quantify estimation risk according to new regulations.  相似文献

In this paper we improve the character approach to the multiplier conjecture that we presented after 1992, and thus we have made considerable progress in the case of n=3n1. We prove that in the case of n = 3n1 Second multiplier theorem remains true if the assumption "n1 >λ" is replaced by "(n1, λ)=1".Consequentially we prove that if we let D be a (v, κ,λ)-difference set in an abelian group G, and n=3pr for some prime p, (p,v)=1, then p is a numerical multiplier of D.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove an invertibility criterion for certain operators which is given as a linear algebraic combination of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers acting on the Hardy space of the unit disc. Very similar to the case of Toeplitz operators, we prove that such operators are invertible if and only if they are Fredholm and their Fredholm index is zero. As an application, we prove that for “quasi-parabolic” composition operators the spectra and the essential spectra are equal.  相似文献

In this paper we prove a special case of the transversal conjecture of Tverberg and Vrecica. We consider the case when the numbers of parts ri in this conjecture are powers of the same prime. We also prove some results on common transversals that generalize the classical nonembeddability theorems. We also prove an analogue of the colored Tverberg's theorem by Zivaljevic and Vrecica. Instead of multicolor simplices with a common point it gives multicolor simplices with a common m-transversal.  相似文献
