The design of a 170 GHz, 1 MW-CW gyrotron for electron cyclotron heating of nuclear fusion plasmas is presented. The designed gyrotron incorporates a coaxial cavity to reduce mode competition, and a coaxial electron gun to support the cavity inner conductor. A new mode converter splits the generated wave into two beams and radiates them in different directions. The radiated beams are transmitted to two output windows through two mirror systems, being transformed into Gaussian-like beams. A single-stage depressed collector improves the overall efficiency of the gyrotron and reduces the heat flux to the collector surface.  相似文献

We report experimental results on a megawatt power level, 140-GHz coaxial gyrotron oscillator. The gyrotron has an inverted magnetron injection gun (IMIG) designed for operation at up to 95 kV and 88 A. The IMIG has an inner grounded anode which extends from the center of the gun down through the entire length of the tube including the cavity and collector. The IMIG was tested at up to 105 kV and 93 A in 3 μs pulses, achieving an electron beam power of 10 MW. The output power from the coaxial gyrotron cavity was transported to an internal mode converter and a single mirror that coupled the power out transversely from the tube axis. A maximum output power of up to 1 MW was obtained in the TE27,11 mode at 142 GHz at an efficiency of 16%, about one half of the design efficiency. The reduced efficiency was attributed to nonuniformity of the cathode emission and the sensitivity to the relative alignment of the electron gun, coaxial insert, and cavity. The cathode emission over the azimuthal angle was measured for two cathodes and was shown to be nonuniform due to both temperature and emitter work function nonuniformity. The gyrotron was also tested in two alternate configurations: 1) with the internal mode converter removed (axial output), and 2) with both the internal converter and the coaxial insert removed (empty cavity). 北京大学超导加速器实验室提出了新型DC?RF超导腔注入器的设计方案.该注入器由皮尔斯引出结构、1+1/2超导腔组成,可以提供高品质的、CW模式或高占空比(1%以上)的电子束.对该注入器进行了分析计算和设计研究,通过改变超导腔首腔腔形以增加聚焦效果,采取措施缩短阴极到超导腔的距离,从而有效地抑制束流发射度的增长.用PARMELA对该注入器进行束流动力学研究,以确定皮尔斯引出结构的形状以及超导腔的同步相位.计算结果表明这种用于高平均功率自由电子激光的注入器的设计方案是可行的.  相似文献

The scaling of operating parameters and the tendencies in the efficiency of the step-tunable gyrotron operating in a set of modes in a cavity of a given length are considered. Results of calculations are reported for the design of a ~1-kW, step-tunable gyrotron oscillator operating from 150 to 600 GHz in steps of about 15 GHz. Detailed results are presented for the efficiency, power losses in the cavity, and the starting conditions. Designs of the electron gun electrodes and of an output mode transducer are also presented. Full modulation of the radiation via the modulating anode of a magnetron injection gun is considered. The gyrotron would be of use for plasma diagnostics and spectroscopy, including electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR)  相似文献

Thi spaper describes thedesign,simulation and experiment of a multi-cavity RF gun with thermionic cathode for BFEL.This RF gun consists of 1/2+3 cavities (its first half cavity is about 1/3 of a full cavity) with a axis coupling bi-period standing-wave accelerating structure,and works at π/2 mode,2856MHz.We shortened the length of the lst cavity and added a short drift between the 2nd and 3rd cavities,so that the power of back bombardment electrons was greatly decreased and the logitudinal properties were adjusted properly.  相似文献

中国工程物理研究院紧凑型自由电子激光太赫兹源装置采用了两路微波独立调谐热阴极微波电子枪作为注入器,一路由首腔馈入激励首腔和实现阴极表面建场并引出电子,另一路由后续腔馈入并通过腔间耦合激励各腔,两路微波互不耦合。对于这种微波激励方式,微波电子枪首腔的电场相位和幅度在实验中均可调节,因此可以通过实验研究来优化微波电子枪的工作参数,从而减小热阴极微波电子枪的电子反轰效应,提高束流品质。介绍了该热阴极微波电子枪热测实验研究的最新结果,通过BCT测得微波电子枪出口处束流强度超过400mA,电子反轰效应随着首腔电场的相位和幅度调节发生显著变化,这些指标和实验现象与理论研究结果较为吻合。  相似文献

为了打破传统单注回旋管只能产生较低功率的局限性, 本文基于自主研发的PIC粒子模拟软件CHIPIC 对110 GHz和220 GHz同轴腔双注回旋管进行全三维数值模拟研究. 在理论分析同轴双电子注电子枪设计模型和初始参数的基础上通过CHIPIC对其进行优化设计, 得到了具有横纵速度比为1.0, 最大速度零散约为5.4%的高性能电子束; 并将此优化后的双阳极双注电子枪取代传统回旋管数值模拟时采用的回旋 发射进行110 GHz和220 GHz双注回旋管整管的数值模拟, 并采用MPI四进程并行计算, 最终获得了具有双频分别为110 GHz和220 GHz、模式为TE02模、平均输出功率约在70 kW、 效率达到8.75%的高性能双注回旋振荡管. 关键词: 同轴腔双注回旋管 同轴双电子注电子枪 横纵速度比 速度零散  相似文献

The electrical design of different components of 1 MW, 170 GHz gyrotron such as, magnetron injection gun, cylindrical interaction cavity and collector and RF window is presented in this article. Recently, a new project related to the development of 170 GHz, 1 MW gyrotron has been started for the Indian Tokamak. TE34,10 mode is selected as the operating mode after studied the problem of mode competition. The triode type geometry is selected for the design of magnetron injection gun (MIG) to achieve the required beam parameters. The maximum transverse velocity spread of 3.28% at the velocity ratio of 1.34 is obtained in simulations for a 40 A, 80 kV electron beam. The RF output power of more than 1 MW with 36.5% interaction efficiency without depressed collector is predicted by simulation in single-mode operation at 170 GHz frequency. The simulated single-stage depressed collector of the gyrotron predicted the overall device efficiencies >55%. Due to the very good thermal conductivity and very weak dependency of the dielectric parameters on temperature, PACVD diamond is selected for window design for the transmission of RF power. The in-house developed code MIGSYN and GCOMS are used for initial geometry design of MIG and mode selection respectively. Commercially available simulation tools MAGIC and ANSYS are used for beam–wave interaction and mechanical analysis respectively.  相似文献

The conceptual design of a 35 GHz gyrotron has been developed consistently with the complex formulation of the electric field longitudinal distribution in the resonant cavity. Some models of magnetron injection guns able to produce laminar beams have been investigated leading to the design of an electron gun capable of generating a current of 5 A with a perpendicular velocity dispersion of 0.5%. The device includes three magnetic systems producting flat axial magnetic induction profiles of 1.05 kG, 13.2 kG and 0.65 kG in the cathode, cavity and collector regions, respectively. The gyrotron has been designed for pulsed operation in the TE021 mode. Under the soft self-excitation condition, the maximum attainable efficiency is 40% with an output power of 100 kW. An analysis of the collector thermal behaviour has been carried out as well as a study of the thermophysical properties of the alumina window to be used.  相似文献

以某5.8mm自动步枪身管为研究对象,基于经典内弹道和传热学基本原理,运用一种热-化学方法,建立了三维瞬态身管传热有限元模型,研究了不同射击模式影响下的身管温度场。研究表明:1)镀层对于身管内膛最高温度影响高达12.5%,在身管热分析中不可忽略;2)半自动模式膛内温度比全自动模式降低15.7%;3)对于同样的射弹数,射频的提高与外壁最高温度呈负相关,且最高温度区域会逐渐向身管尾部移动。研究结果可为探讨及解决热散问题提供一定的参考价值。  相似文献

 为更进一步提高注入器的性能,注入器使用的耦合器采用同轴对称耦合。给出了同轴对称耦合器的理论计算、具体设计以及实验情况。经过对模型耦合器多次微波传输测量调试以及对各个部位反射的细致分析,最后获得了较好的结果,证明了该耦合器的实用性和可行性。  相似文献

 输入谐振腔将波导输入的高频信号转化为内腔中工作模式的驻波场,以实现对回旋电子注角向速度的调制。对输入谐振腔的同轴谐振腔和两端开孔的圆柱谐振腔分别进行了解析分析,数值计算中引入修正来反应耦合狭缝的影响,几min就能完成一种结构尺寸的计算分析。通过优化得到输入谐振腔的初步结构和尺寸,然后利用三维高频分析软件HFSS进行精确的模拟和修正,提高模式转化效率和纯度,获得了高性能的输入谐振腔。  相似文献

Short-pulse powerful Large Orbit Gyrotron with total electron energy about 400 kV and beam power in the cavity up to 100 MW is now under developing at FIR FU. Suitable for 200 ns pulse duration electron-optic system is analyzed. Results of numerical simulation for explosion emission cusp-type electron guns and magnetic field intensity about 8 T are presented. Sensitivity of the guns to small deviations from the nominal operating regime is investigated. Some versions of the gun with different accelerating potential as well as different beam current passing through the cavity (60-300A) are suggested. Current reduction simplifies the problems of mode competition and potential depression in the cavity, but at the same time decrease output power. To diminish current special diaphragms are suggested. Results of numerical simulation of collector corresponding to each version of the gun design including power density distributions along its surface are presented. It is shown that beam quality and collector regimes are suitable for LOG operation.  相似文献

A high-power transit-time oscillator producing 110kW at 5.7GHz in the TM010 cavity mode is described. The device comprises a temperature-limited diode electron gun operating at 40A in the range from 28kV to 35kV and an intermediate coaxial cavity from which the microwave power is extracted through a TEM coaxial guide. The diode serves also as a resonant cavity, where electromagnetic oscillations are grown from noise. The effect of the applied voltage on both the output microwave power and the instability saturation time has been investigated leading to an optimal diode voltage of 33kV.  相似文献

根据北京大学1+1/2单元超导腔直流--超导(DC-SC)光阴极注入器的实验研究结果, 证明了这种新型光阴极注入器的可行性, 在此基础上对这种新型注入器进行了升级设计, 使之成为实用的紧凑型高平均流强的光阴极注入器, 为北京大学自由电子激光装置提供品质良好的电子束流. 给出了升级的3+1/2单元超导腔注入器的详细设计, 包括注入器核心结构的电磁场设计、束流动力学模拟、机械设计. 并对整个注入器的恒温器进行了初步设计.  相似文献

 BEPCII改进工程需要更高流强的电子枪。新电子枪系统的物理设计、机械设计、控制系统设计等均进行了描述。电子枪的设计发射电流在脉宽为1 ns时大于10 A,重复频率50 Hz。将会采用脉冲电源来为电子枪提供最高200 kV的脉冲高压。在设计阶段,电子枪的几何结构和束流传输过程利用计算机模拟进行了优化。EGUN和DGUN的计算结果表明导流系数为0.22 mA·V-3/2,电子枪出口的发射度为16 p·mm·mrad。PARMELA的模拟结果表明束流能顺利地传输至第一根加速管末端,捕获效率为67%,出口的均方根发射度为25 mm·mrad。基于EPICS平台的电子枪控制系统设计也已完成,提供了全新的双脉冲运行模式和2.5 μs长脉冲运行模式。  相似文献

 为了开展基于自由电子激光的紧凑型太赫兹源技术研究,获得高品质(强流、低能散、低发射度)电子束,提出了一个低反轰双路微波馈入多腔热阴极微波电子枪的设计方案。用两路独立微波馈入激励微波电子枪,一路由首腔馈入激励首腔和实现阴极表面建场引出电子,另一路由后续腔馈入并通过腔间耦合激励各腔。两路微波互不耦合,通过移相器实现首腔和第2腔之间的相移连续可调。理论模拟结果表明:在一个射频周期内,热阴极微波电子枪的电子反轰功率约8 kW,平均反轰功率仅为1.2 W(重复频率25 Hz和脉宽6 μs)。  相似文献

报道了聚变应用的MW级双频(105/140 GHz)回旋管的最新实验进展。该回旋管的谐振腔、准光模式变换器、输出窗采用了双频共用的设计,电子枪采用了双频复用的双阳极磁控注入枪,收集极采用单极降压。最新的实验表明:在重频1 Hz短脉冲条件下,在105 GHz点和140 GHz点,测试得到脉冲功率分别为710 kW和1.057 MW,对应总效率分别为34%和49%。这是国内首次在回旋管实验中实现1.0 MW功率输出。  相似文献

The outer cavity Janus-Helmholtz with sound insulation layer is presented for obtaining the capacity of high-power non-directional transmitting. The radiation efficiency and directivity in the 0 degrees direction can be improved when the radiation mode is changed by laying sound insulation layer. The operating bandwidth can be expanded effectively by the dual mode coupling between the cavity vibration and longitudinal vibration of Janus transducer. A prototype is designed by finite element method. Test results show that the results are in good agreement with the design results. Compared with inner cavity Janus-Helmholtz transducer,acoustic radiation performance of outer cavity Janus-Helmholtz underwater acoustic transducer in the 0 degrees direction has been significantly improved.  相似文献
