The DC magnetization and AC complex magnetic susceptibilities were measured for MgB2 single crystals, unsubstituted and carbon substituted with the composition of Mg(B0.94C0.05)2. The measurements were performed in AC and DC magnetic fields oriented parallel to the c-axis of the crystals. From the DC magnetization loops and the AC susceptibility measurements, critical current densities (J c were derived as a function of temperature and the DC and AC magnetic fields. Results show that the substitution with carbon decreases J c ) at low magnetic fields, opposite to the well known effect of an increase of J c at higher fields. AC magnetic losses were derived from the AC susceptibility data as a function of amplitude and the DC bias magnetic field. The AC losses were determined for temperatures of 0.6 and 0.7 of the transition temperature T c , so close to the boiling points of LH2 and LNe, potential cooling media for magnesium diboride based composites. The results are analyzed and discussed in the context of the critical state model.  相似文献

The response of uniaxial anisotropic ferromagnetic particles with linear reaction dynamics subjected to alternating current(AC) or direct current(DC) bias magnetic field is evaluated by the reaction–diffusion equation for the probability distribution function of the molecular concentration in the spherical coordinate system. The magnetization function and the probability distribution function of the magnetic particles in the reaction system are derived by using the Legendre polynomials and Laplace transform. We discuss the characteristics of magnetization and probability distribution of the magnetic particles with different anisotropic parameters driven by a DC and AC magnetic fields, respectively. It is shown that both the magnetization and the probability distribution decrease with time increasing due to the reaction process. The uniformity of the probability distribution and the amplitude of the magnetization are both affected by the anisotropic parameters.Meanwhile, the difference between the case with linear reaction dynamics and the non-reaction case is discussed.  相似文献

研究了直流磁场、交流磁场对液态铝和固态铁界面微观组织的影响,采用金相显微镜、电子探针和x射线衍射等方法对其扩散层内生成物进行了分析.结果表明,在直流磁场和交流磁场作用下,固态铁界面内形成的扩散层厚度均比无磁场时小;在交流磁场作用下,液态铝和固态铁的界面变得凹凸不平;在垂直于磁场方向上,直流磁场抑制了铝原子和铁原子之间的扩散,交流磁场则促进了扩散;无磁场时固态铁内扩散层中生成的金属间化合物由FeAl3和Fe2Al5组成,直流磁场条件下只有Fe2Al5生成,交流磁场作用下由Fe2Al5和Fe4Al13组成. 关键词: 磁场 铝 铁 金属间化合物 扩散  相似文献

We present measurements of harmonic generation in the magnetization of sintered pellets of YBa2Cu3O7 and Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 as a function of DC field. The DC field is applied in the field-cooled mode. Measurements are made at 77 K for various values of the AC field amplitude. A comparison is made with calculations done within the critical state model.  相似文献

The magnetization loss density in stacked GdBa2Cu3O7−δ coated conductor was measured using a SQUID magnetometer in a magnetic field normal to the tape surface to investigate the effect of stack on the magnetization loss. The AC loss characteristics are successfully collapsed to a single curve by the normalization at all the measurement temperatures. The losses are similar at high magnetic fields regardless the number of tapes. In addition, the AC loss decreases with increasing the number of tapes in stack at low magnetic fields.  相似文献

The field distribution for superconducting cylinders and slabs with field dependent critical current densities in combined DC and AC magnetic fields and the corresponding magnetic fluxes are calculated. It is shown that all features of experimental magnetic-field profile measurements can be explained in the framework of field dependent critical current density. Magnetization and critical current density measurements have been performed on a Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu5O y bulk material as the functions of magnetic field and temperature. The diamagnetic shielding effect has been discussed from the initial magnetization curve. The lower critical field of bulk granular superconductor (H g) and the lower critical field of superconducting grains (H c1) are estimated from magnetization curves. They are both linearly decreasing functions of temperature: (dH g/dT) and (dH c1/dT) are –0.4 and –1.8 G/K respectively. The transport critical current density drops drastically by a factor of 4 at a magnetic field of about 20G. The magnetization J c of superconducting grains derived from the remanent magnetization is about 106 A/cm2 at 77 K, zero field, much greater than the transport J c. The experimental results reveal that the transport J c is dominated by weaklink current between grains. The magnetization J c versus temperature has been obtained from the remanent flux at zero magnetic field and is a linearly decreasing function of temperature within experimental error.  相似文献

Melt grown samples of Y1.2Ba1.8Cu2.4O x have been prepared and studied for their current carrying capacity. The composition was chosen to include Y2BaCuO5 (211) particles in the YBa2Cu3O x (123) phase. The critical current density (J c) of these samples was studied as a function of magnetic field using magnetization technique. The micrographic investigation shows well aligned grains in this material. The magnetic hysteresis measurements were done using a MPMS SQUID magnetometer up to the fields of 5.5 T. TheJ c was estimated from the remanent magnetization using Bean model. Isothermal magnetization hysteresis loops at low fields reveal the presence of only one kind of hysteresis loops (corresponding to intragrain magnetizations). This is a valid proof that the weak links are greatly eliminated in these samples prepared by MG process. TheJ c behaviour as a function of magnetic field has two components, a rapidly decaying exponential function of field and the other component that predominates at higher fields. This could be explained if we assume that the sample contains two phases of superconductors, one having a lowH c2 becoming normal at fairly medium fields of the order of a few kilogauss will act as pinning centres for the other phase having higherH c2 and hence higherJ c at high fields.  相似文献

We have performed AC magnetic susceptibility measurements as a function of the excitation magnetic field, h, for two YBa2Cu3O7−δ polycrystalline samples using a high-sensitivity home-made susceptometer, for fixed values of the temperature, T, and the external DC magnetic field, H. One of the samples is melt-textured and for H<52.5 Oe it presents features that can be associated with a multilevel granular structure. Using an effective medium model, we have determined the critical current density distribution associated with the multilevel granular structure. The average critical current density in each intergranular region was then calculated by applying Bean's critical state model.  相似文献

In this study, the magnetization measurements have been performed on high-temperature superconductor's single crystals YBa2Cu3O7-δ at large ranges of temperature T (15-85 K) and in magnetic fields up to 6T at different values of the angle θ between the applied magnetic field and c-axis. The critical current density Jc deduced from the magnetic hysteresis loops by the Bean formula for H parallel to the c-axis (θ=0°), our results have shown that the critical current density Jc was strongly dependent on the applied magnetic field. The pinning force Fp=Jc×μ0H was determined from magnetization for H//c, however, a plot of the normalized pinning force density fp= Fp/Fpmax as a function of the reduced magnetic field h= H/Hirr at different temperatures have shown good scaling with the form fp ~hp(1-h)q, where p and q are scaling parameters. We also found that the point pinning is more dominant than surface pinning under high temperatures.  相似文献

The size-, surface- and proximity-effects are combined for calculating the critical temperature and some unusual electromagnetic properties of superfine superconducting NbTi filaments (i.e. with a diameterd s < 0·1 μm) in the neighbourhood of normal metal (Cu). It is shown that the existence of the one-dimensional flux line lattice is responsible for the extremely large values of the critical current densities in low magnetic fields (B < 0·2B c2,B c2 — the upper critical magnetic field), for the maximum of the volume pinning force at low magnetic fields (B m ≈ 0·1B c2, comparing withB m≈ 0·5B c2 in usual macroscopic multifilamentary NbTi superconductors), as well as for the peculiar minimum of the magnetization after reversing the magnetic field direction. The possible role of the frozen-in flux lines in creating flux lines of opposite direction is sketched. It is proposed that for practical purposes the superconducting filaments should be coated with electrically insulating material (e.g. cupro-nickel or dielectric) to destroy the electro-magnetic coupling between the filaments and to ensure low ac losses in the composite.  相似文献

In the present paper the magnetization of a high density relativistic fluid of elementary particles is studied. At very high densities, such as may be found in the interior of a neutron star, when the external magnetic field is gradually increased, the energy of the normal phase of the fluid remains practically constant before extremely high magnetic fields are reached. However, if pion condensation occurs, the energy decreases linearly while the magnetic field strength increases, so that a non vanishing magnetization, independent of the magnetic field, is present. The expression of the magnetization is derived by first considering and solving the Dirac equation of a fermion in interaction with a magnetic field and with a chiral sigma-pion pair. The solution provides the energies of single-particle states. The energy of the system is found by summing up contributions from all particles in the particle fluid. For nuclear densities above 2 to 3ρ 0, where ρ 0 is the equilibrium nuclear density, the resulting magnetic field turns out to be rather huge, of the order of 1017 Gauss.  相似文献

Measurements of the spatial distribution of magnetic fields within superconductors were made with alloys of lead-bismuth, which allow for a large variation of superconducting properties. From these measurements critical current densities were derived as function of local magnetic field, and qualitative informations about surface currents are obtained. By Friedel et al. (1963) a field dependence of critial current density has been calculated, which makes a characteristic shape to be expected at low fields. This shape was found experimentally. A semiempirical extension of the relation given byKim et al. (1962) andAnderson (1962) is proposed, which satisfactory describes the measured current densities in the whole field range.  相似文献

We have studied the diluted Fe2−xZnxMoO4 spinel ferrite which shows a frozen disordered magnetic state at low temperature. Magnetic properties are examined by DC magnetisation measurements as a function of temperature, field and time and AC susceptibility experiment. Our measurements show that this disordered magnetic system at low fields, shares many common features with spin glass or cluster glass like phases. Results suggest that the interaction gradually changes as the magnetic ion concentration decreases by the substitution of non-magnetic Zn on A site and causing a perturbation to the magnetically ordered spins and magnetic order decreases.  相似文献

AC losses in Bi-2223 superconducting tapes carrying AC transport current and/or exposed to DC or AC magnetic field are calculated with a numerical model based on the finite element method. Superconducting property is given by the EJ characteristic represented by a power law using equivalent conductivity. First, transport loss and magnetization loss are calculated numerically and compared with measured values. The calculated losses almost agree with the measured losses. Frequency dependencies of calculated and measured transport losses are compared with each other. Next, the influence of DC external magnetic field on the transport loss is studied. DC external magnetic field reduces n that is an exponent in the power law connecting resistivity and current density. The numerically calculated transport loss increases with increasing DC magnetic field. Finally, the total loss of superconducting tape carrying AC transport current in AC magnetic field is calculated. In the perpendicular magnetic field, the calculated total loss is lager than the sum of the transport loss and the magnetization loss, while they almost agree with each other in the parallel magnetic field.  相似文献

Magnetically melt textured YBa2Cu3O7−δ samples have been studied by AC initial susceptibility measurements in the low field limit. The critical dynamic fields h*c and the relative position of the irreversibility line and of the critical line show that magnetic melt texturing leads to the creation of strong pinning sites. The anisotropy factor A is in agreement with the value obtained from magnetization under high DC fields. The A values are lower than in single cystals, but in agreement with the important orientation effects introduced by magnetic field texturing. These values also are typical of fabrication techniques involving a melting at some stage.  相似文献

With increasing amount of nickel in the Gd7Pd3-xNix series, the unit cell volume decreases due to difference between atomic radius of Pd and Ni but the type of crystal structure is preserved. The paper presents X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometer, Transmission Electron Microscopy, AC and DC magnetic susceptibility and magnetocaloric examinations of the series. The Ni substitution into Pd position causes the decrease in the Curie temperature. Moreover, the dispersion observed in the AC-susceptibility at different frequencies vanishes at the Curie point. Just below the ordering temperature, a Hopkinson peak is observed. Complex processes depending on frequency and magnetic field occur in the transition region. The magnetization phenomena are very sensitive to the applied DC magnetic field and even very weak fields producing thermomagnetic hysteresis. A reorientation process around 150 K exists in all compounds and it is connected with increasing interactions at low temperatures. After nickel substitution, the relative cooling power (RCP) is greater in comparison to the parent compound.  相似文献

The perturbation method is used to study the localization of electric field distribution and the effective nonlinear response of graded composites under an external alternating-current (AC) and direct-current (DC) electric field Eapp = E0 (1+sin ωt). The dielectric profile of the cylindrical inclusions is modeled by function εi (r) = Ck rk (r ≤ a), where r is the radius of the cylindrical inclusion, and Ck, k, a are parameters. In the dilute limit, the local potentials and the effective nonlinear responses at all harmonics are derived. Meanwhile, the general effective nonlinear responses are also derived and compared with the effective nonlinear responses at harmonics under the AC and DC external field. It is found that the effective nonlinear AC and DC responses at harmonics can be calculated by those of the general effective nonlinear of the graded composites under the external DC electric field. Moreover, the obtained local electrical fields show that the electrical field distribution in the cylindrical inclusions is controllable, and the maximum of the electric field inside the cylinder is at its center.  相似文献

The elastic properties and the generalized-stacking-fault-energy (GSFE) in MeO (Me = Mg, Ca) under different pressures have been calculated using the first principle calculations. In the anisotropic elasticity theory approximation, by using the Foreman’s method, the core structure and Peierls stress of $\tfrac{1} {2}\left\langle {110} \right\rangle \left\{ {110} \right\}We report structural, DC magnetization, detailed linear/non-linear AC susceptibility, (with applied frequency and amplitude) isothermal and thermoremanent magnetization (TRM) behavior for RuSr2Y1.5Ce0.5Cu2O10 (YRu-1222) magneto-superconductor to understand its complex magnetism. Studied sample is synthesized through the novel solid state high pressure (6?GPa) high temperature (1450?°C) (HPHT) technique. The compound is crystallized in tetragonal structure with space group I4/mmm (No.?139). DC magnetic susceptibility shows that studied YRu-1222 is magneto-superconducting with Ru spins magnetic ordering at around 110?K and superconductivity (SC) in the Cu-O2 planes below ?~?30?K. Frequency and field dependent detailed AC magnetic susceptibility measurements confirms the spin-glass (SG) behavior with homogeneous/non-homogeneous ferromagnetic (FM) clusters in this system. Variation of cusp position with applied AC frequency follows the famous Vogel-Fulcher law, which is commonly accepted feature for spin-glass (SG) system with homogeneous/non-homogeneous ferromagnetic clusters embedded in spin-glass (SG) matrix. Above the freezing temperature (T f ), first and third harmonics AC susceptibility analysis indicated possibility of the co-existence of spin cluster ferromagnetism with superparamagnetism (SPM). The M-H loops at low temperature exhibit the ferromagnetic behavior with rather small coercive field (H c ) and remnant magnetization (M r ). Summarily, the magnetic (DC and AC) susceptibility measurements and their analysis have enabled us to unearth the complex magnetism in terms of successive SG-FM-SPM transitions with temperature.  相似文献
