We have investigated the capabilities of the method of digital speckle interferometry for determining subpixel displacements of a speckle structure formed by a displaceable or deformable object with a scattering surface. An analysis of spatial spectra of speckle structures makes it possible to perform measurements with a subpixel accuracy and to extend the lower boundary of the range of measurements of displacements of speckle structures to the range of subpixel values. The method is realized on the basis of digital recording of the images of undisplaced and displaced speckle structures, their spatial frequency analysis using numerically specified constant phase shifts, and correlation analysis of spatial spectra of speckle structures. Transformation into the frequency range makes it possible to obtain quantities to be measured with a subpixel accuracy from the shift of the interference-pattern minimum in the diffraction halo by introducing an additional phase shift into the complex spatial spectrum of the speckle structure or from the slope of the linear plot of the function of accumulated phase difference in the field of the complex spatial spectrum of the displaced speckle structure. The capabilities of the method have been investigated in natural experiment.  相似文献

The rapid progress of modern manufacturing and inspection technologies has posed stringent requirements on optical techniques for vibration characterization and dynamic testing. Due to its simplicity, accuracy and whole-field characters, laser speckle interferometry has served as one of the major techniques for dynamic measurement. In this paper, a two-step phase shifting method is developed for quantitative speckle phase measurement, which helps to eliminate the specklegrams needed for phase evaluation and facilitate dynamic measurement. Unlike previously reported two-step methods using fringe patterns with known phase shift of π/2, a small unknown phase shift is employed instead in the proposed method, which eliminates the need for phase shifting devices. Further investigation shows that small phase shifts are preferable over large phase shifts in this method. Shearographic experiments conducted have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed technique.  相似文献

In this work, the dependence on the speckle size in the performance of a micro displacement sensor based on fiber specklegrams stored in a photorefractive BSO (Bi12SiO20) crystal is experimentally demonstrated. In our experimental setup, a plastic optical fiber (POF) was used to generate a subjective speckle pattern which was recorded in the crystal by using a four-wave mixing arrangement in transmission geometry. The speckle size was controlled by modifying the diameter of a pupil aperture adjacent to a lens producing the image of the speckle. The signal speckle beam was mixed into the crystal with two counter propagating pump beams to generate a fourth beam which is proportional to the conjugate of the original speckle beam. Real time fringe patterns were obtained at the output of the system by producing micro displacements of the fiber output end. Increases of the phase conjugation reflectivity and the visibility of the fringe patterns were appreciated when the speckle length was increased by decreasing the pupil aperture diameter. This behavior allowed recovering the autocorrelation functions of fringe patterns associated to micro displacements that initially led to decorrelation, and therefore, to improve the dynamic range of the metrological system. Until the best of our knowledge this is the first report about the influence of the speckle size on fiber specklegrams sensors recorded on photorefractive materials by four-wave mixing.  相似文献

Digital speckle three-shearing-aperture interferometry used for the measurement of curvature distribution fields of a deformation object is proposed for the first time. In this method, pure curvature distribution fringes without containing slope distribution fringes can be obtained by using digital speckle three-shearing-aperture interferometry. Two specklegrams, one before and the other after object deformation, are recorded by a CCD camera and stored in a computer. A 2-D fast Fourier transform (FFT) and a 2-D inverse FFT (IFFT) are performed on the two specklegrams. The subtraction of the transformed specklegrams will produce curvature distribution fringes, and the speckle noises in curvature distribution fringes can be removed after these fringes pass through low-pass filtering. Results from theory and experiments are in good agreement.  相似文献

A new method for recording the phase structure of ultrashort optical pulses is proposed that makes no use of a reference pulse. Using three-wave interactions in a nonlinear optical medium, a wave of spectral decomposition of an ultrashort pulse is transformed into a monochromatic wave. The spatial phase structure of this wave contains information on the phase structure of the pulse spectrum and on the pulse form. This structure is analyzed by shearing interferometry.

Measurement of in-plane and out-of-plane displacement components using the white light speckle method is considered for three different cases. The first is applicable when in-plane components are small and stresses are directly related to the second differential of the out-of-plane component. The other cases involve components of the same order of magnitude but require recording of either one or two specklegrams. Evidence of experimental demonstration of each case is given.  相似文献

We propose a simple optical approach for the convolutional pre-processing of stellar specklegrams in the shift-and-add (SAA) method. It uses an incoherent optical processing, where a speckle pattern on a displaying device is re-imaged and a point-spread-function of the re-imaging system is used as the convolution kernel. This approach is suitable for use in the real-time SAA-system recently proposed. Experimental results using observational stellar specklegrams displayed on a cathode-ray-tube-monitor are reported to demonstrate that the optical pre-processing improves the signal-to-noise ratio of the final image.  相似文献

系统地分析了大错位量散斑干涉术测量离面位移的原理,并结合晶体光学理论详细分析液晶体的相移过程.同时从理论上剖析了沃拉斯顿棱镜的错位机理,从而构造出一种新的基于液晶体实现大错位量散斑相移技术的测试系统。采用该检测系统对结构实体混凝土在不同养护时间情况下的力学行为进行测试研究。实验结果揭示:随着养护时间的增加,混凝土结构的力学性能指标也相应增加,但在养护21天后,混凝土结构材料的弹性模量和结构强度都达到某一稳定值(即标准试样在同等养护条件下的实验室测量值)。并且也发现该技术使用方便,检测时受环境的影响小,可以实现现场在线原位实时无损检测,并能够得到非常真实的检测结果,从而可以实现更精确的定量计算。  相似文献

In astronomical speckle imaging, deconvolving a shift-and-add (SAA) image has an advantage over deconvolving noisy specklegrams, because an SAA image is an integration of many specklegrams and has a relatively enhanced signal-tonoise ratio. In this paper, to reinforce the deconvolution of a single SAA image, we propose a multiframe deconvolution applied to multiple SAA images that are obtained by diversely recombining the same set of specklegrams to have different point spread functions. We have found that such diverse SAA images can be easily produced by permuting specklegrams to be processed by SAA. The results of experiments using simulated and observational data have shown a robustness of our present approach: in the previous approach of deconvolving a single SAA frame, the resulting object estimate is apt to be influenced by the given SAA frame and the estimation sometimes fails, whereas in the present approach, a reliable object image is stably reconstructed regardless of the given SAA frames.  相似文献

偏振匀滑是利用光束偏振特性降低焦斑对比度的一种技术,它最大可降低焦斑对比度为原来的1/√2. 焦斑的频谱分析显示,传统楔形晶体的偏振匀滑对焦斑对比度的改善只集中在某些特定的空间频率,本文因此提出了一种可全域降低焦斑空间频率的偏振匀滑方法,它采用单轴晶体对入射光的角度不同而产生的相移不同的方法,实现激光两种正交偏振态在靶点的分离. 理论分析和数值模拟表明,新方法可以实现焦斑空间频率中高频段的全频域降低,焦斑对比度也可同时达到1/√2的最大程度的改善. 分析了连续相位板作为新方法引入激光入射角分布不同的条件,确定了刻蚀连续相位板面形的晶体同时实现焦斑整形和偏振匀滑的边界条件. 关键词: 偏振匀滑 焦斑功率谱 响应函数 焦斑整形  相似文献

In this work we investigate the structure of nondiffracting speckle fields, both experimentally and theoretically. We are able to produce very good agreement between the experimentally recorded and theoretically calculated fields by using complex amplitude modulation on a phase-only spatial light modulator to implement controlled ring-slit experiments for the generation of nondiffracting speckle fields. The structure of the nondiffracting speckle due to binary and continuous phase modulations for both a uniform and a normal distribution is investigated. We find that we are able to engineer whether the nondiffracting field will appear as speckle or a structured zero-order Bessel beam by adjusting the standard deviation in the distribution. Having the ability to control where in the spectrum, from fully-developed nondiffracting speckle to a symmetric zero-order Bessel beam, the nondiffracting field will exist can prove to be a useful resource in the non-destructive testing of materials.  相似文献

为了安全高效地对图像信息进行传输,提出了一种新颖的基于多模光纤散斑的压缩感知结合双随机相位编码的光学图像加密方法.多模光纤产生的光斑作为压缩感知的测量矩阵,完成对图像的第一次压缩和加密,并且充当第一级密钥;再利用双随机相位编码技术进行第二次加密,实现对图像的完整加密过程,随机相位掩模板充当第二级密钥,解密过程与此相反.通过将光斑测量矩阵与用于压缩感知的常用随机测量矩阵进行对比研究后发现,使用光斑测量矩阵解密后的图像质量更好,而且相比于其他随机测量矩阵在硬件实现上的复杂性与高成本,光斑矩阵可以很容易地通过简单的光学器件来获得,且可以利用工作波长的改变来进行变换,也即第一级密钥非常容易变换.同时经研究表明,本文方法可以有效抵抗统计分析、噪声干扰和剪切等攻击,且对密钥敏感性高,具有良好的鲁棒性和安全性.因此,本文提出的这种基于光斑矩阵的压缩感知与双随机相位编码结合起来的加密方法,可以获得良好的加密效果与极大的密钥空间,并且易于在光学领域整合.  相似文献

Recently, a phase evaluation method was proposed to measure nanometric displacements by means of digital speckle pattern interferometry when the phase change introduced by the deformation is in the range [0,π) rad. This method is based on the evaluation of a correlation coefficient between two speckle interferograms generated by both deformation states of the object. In this paper, we present a novel technique to measure non-monotonous displacements in temporal speckle pattern interferometry using a correlation method without a temporal carrier. In this approach, the sign ambiguity is resolved automatically due to the introduction of a function that determines the correct sign of the displacement between two consecutive speckle interferograms. The rms phase errors introduced by the proposed method are determined using computer-simulated speckle interferograms. An application of the phase retrieval method to process experimental data is also presented.  相似文献

In order to solve storage problem in real-time optical metrology, storing digital specklegrams by using a lossy-joint photographic experts group image compression is studied. A spatial distribution of a correlation signal calculated from the compressed specklegrams is used as a criterion for evaluating quality of information content of the specklegrams. We developed an off-axis quantitative phase microscopy that works for a light source with an extremely short spatial coherence length in order to reduce the diffraction noise and enhance the spatial resolution. A dynamic speckle wave whose coherence length is 440 nm was used as an illumination source. To implement an off-axis interferometry for a source of low spatial coherence, a diffraction grating was inserted in the reference beam path. In doing so, an oblique illumination was generated without rotation of the wavefront, which leads to a full-field and single-shot phase recording with improved phase sensitivity of more than a factor of 10 in comparison with coherent illumination. The spatial resolution, both laterally and axially, and the depth selectivity are significantly enhanced due to the wide angular spectrum of the speckle wave. We applied our method to image the dynamics of small intracellular particles in live biological cells. With enhanced phase sensitivity and speed, the proposed method will serve as a useful tool to study the dynamics of biological specimens.  相似文献

An iterative speckle reduction method is proposed to reduce the speckle noise in the reconstruction of kinoforms. Because a kinoform only has phase modulation, the phase freedom of the reconstructed image is usually utilized for spectrum smoothing. We consider the speckle noise as isolated zeros among the discrete reconstructed points. An isolated zero leads to a 2 circle of the image phase differences. Our proposed iterative speckle reduction method changes the image phase to avoid the 2 circles in the reconstructed points. Computer simulations are shown to demonstrate the effect of our method.  相似文献
