On the embedding of variational inequalities

This work is devoted to the approximation of variational inequalities with pseudo-monotone operators. A variational inequality, considered in an arbitrary real Banach space, is first embedded into a reflexive Banach space by means of linear continuous mappings. Then a strongly convergent approximation procedure is designed by regularizing the embedded variational inequality. Some special cases have also been discussed.

     

Pseudo-monotone complementarity problems in Hilbert space

In this paper, some existence results for a nonlinear complementarity problem involving a pseudo-monotone mapping over an arbitrary closed convex cone in a real Hilbert space are established. In particular, some known existence results for a nonlinear complementarity problem in a finite-dimensional Hilbert space are generalized to an infinite-dimensional real Hilbert space. Applications to a class of nonlinear complementarity problems and the study of the post-critical equilibrium state of a thin elastic plate subjected to unilateral conditions are given.This research was partially supported by the National Science Foundation Grant DMS-89-13089, Department of Energy Grant DE-FG03-87-ER-25028, and Office of Naval Research Grant N00014-89-J-1659. Solving two-Level variational inequality

An approach to solving a mathematical program with variational inequality or nonlinear complementarity constraints is presented. Global Stability Results for the Weak Vector Variational Inequality

In this paper, we consider the global stability of solutions of a Weak Vector Variational Inequality in a finite-dimensional Euclidean space. Upper semi-continuity of the solution set mapping is established. And by a scalarization method, we derive a sufficient condition that guarantees the lower semi-continuity of the solution set mapping for the Weak Vector Variational Inequality

Generalized variational-like inequalities for pseudo-monotone type III operators

Our aim in this paper is mainly to prove some existence results for solutions of generalized variational-like inequalities with (η,h)-pseudo-monotone type III operators defined on non-compact sets in topological vector spaces.
