An optically active, m‐terphenyl‐based π‐conjugated polymer bearing carboxy groups was synthesized by the copolymerization of the diethynyl monomer bearing a carboxy group with (S,S)‐2,5‐bis(2‐methylbutoxy)‐1,4‐dibromobenzene using Sonogashira reaction. The copolymer showed a weak circular dichroism (CD) in the main‐chain chromophore region due to a homo‐double helix formation with an excess helical handedness biased by the chiral alkoxy substituents through self‐association. However, upon complexation with achiral amines, such as piperidine, the CD intensity of the polymer significantly increased resulting in the formation of a greater excess one‐handed homo‐double helix via hydrogen‐bonded inclusion complexation with the achiral amines between each strand, leading to the amplification of the helicity. A preferred‐handed homo‐double helix was also induced in the polymer in the presence of nonracemic amines. The effect of the achiral and chiral amines on the homo‐double helix formation was investigated by comparing the CD spectra of the polymer to those of its model dimer. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The derivatization reagents for carboxylic acids, N‐(Pyridin‐3‐yl)hydrazinecarbothioamide, N‐[4‐(dimethylamino)phenyl]hydrazinecarbothioamide, 1‐(2‐aminoethyl)‐3‐(pyridin‐3‐yl)thiourea, 1‐(2‐aminoethyl)‐3‐[4‐(dimethylamino)phenyl]thiourea and 4‐(2‐aminoethyl)‐N‐phenylpiperazine‐1‐carbothioamide were synthesized. These reagents reacted with carboxylic acids at 60°C for 45 min in the presence of the condensation reagents. The generated derivatives were favorably separated on the reversed‐phase column and sensitively detected by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. These reagents enhanced the electrospray ionization response of the analyte and generated a particular product ion efficiently by collision‐induced dissociation, and thus they were suitable for MS/MS detection. The stereochemistry around the N‐benzoylated indole moiety of indometacin was studied by restricting the rotation about the N? C7′ and/or C7′? C1′ bond. In the 2′,6′‐disubstituted ones, an atropisomeric property was found and the atropoisomers were separated and isolated as stable forms. Their biological abilities to inhibit cyclooxygenase‐1 (COX‐1) and cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2) were examined. Only the aR‐isomer showed specific inhibition of COX‐1, and COX‐2 was not inhibited by either atropisomer. Conformational analysis in NMR studies and X‐ray crystallography, and CD spectra in combination with calculations were utilized to elucidate the bioactive conformations.  相似文献

We have studied the electronic properties of the ferroelectric barium titanate BaTiO3 using two complementary bulk-sensitive spectroscopic probes, resonant X-ray emission spectroscopy (RXES) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy in the partial fluorescence mode (PFY-XAS) at the Ba-L3 and Ti-K absorption edges. Contrary to a previous study, we found no fine structure in the pre-edge area of the PFY-XAS spectrum at the Ba-L3 edge, and no temperature-induced spectral change was observed between room temperature and 150 °C. This result is not supportive of the possible presence of the displacement around Ba2+ at the Curie temperature. RXES spectra were measured at the Ti-K edge for BaTiO3, along with SrTiO3 and La-doped metallic SrTiO3. The photon energy of the emission peak is found to be nearly constant throughout the absorption edge for all three compounds. We deduce the Ti 3d states to have a delocalized character, in contrast with the Ba 5d states, a property which is consistent with the proposed scenario of the formation of electric dipoles in BaTiO3.  相似文献

Summary Fractional order Sobolev spaces are introduced on an abstract Wiener space and Donsker's delta functions are defined as generalized Wiener functionals belonging to Sobolev spaces with negative differentiability indices. A highly crosslinked poly(styrene–divinyl benzene–trimethyolpropane trimethacrylate) microsphere containing a polyimide prepolymer (PIP) was prepared by a new emulsification method, Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membrane emulsification, and a subsequent radical suspension polymerization. That is, a mixture of styrene, divinyl benzene, trimethyol propane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA), and PIP containing an initiator was permeated through the uniform pores of the SPG membrane into a continuous phase containing a stabilizer to form uniform droplets. Then, the suspension polymerization was carried out at 65 °C for 24 h. The trifunctional crosslinker TMPTMA was added to enhance the destructive strength of the microsphere, and PIP was incorporated into the microsphere to provide an adhesion force by a known self‐curing reaction at 220 °C. The effects of the feed amounts of TMPTMA and PIP on the monomer conversion, size distribution, and destructive strength of the microsphere were investigated. The monomer conversion increased with an increase in TMPTMA. The particle size distribution became narrower as the TMPTMA feed amount increased, but it became broader with an increase in PIP. The destructive strength increased with increases in TMPTMA and PIP. After a heat treatment at 220 °C, the destructive strength decreased because of the heat degradation of the polymer. The addition of TMPTMA suppressed the heat degradation, and PIP could undergo self‐curing at 220 °C. The obtained highly crosslinked uniform microsphere containing PIP has potential applications in liquid‐crystal displays. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Systematic fractional change in the yield of various isomers of fullerenes was revealed to strongly depend on temperature of a buffer gas. A new kinetic consideration is proposed for understanding the observed temperature- and pressure-dependence of yield of fullerenes. The model consists of three competitive reactions in consideration of plausible behaviors of a precursor, (1) decomposition into smaller fragments, (2) isomerization leading to formation of a stable fullerene cage, and (3) growth into a larger carbon cluster. Arrhenius activation energy of formation of stable fullerenes was determined to be 0.8 eV for both C60 and C70, while a higher energy of 2.0?3.3 eV for seven different isomers of higher fullerenes ranging from C76 to C84. Correlation in the activation energy is noted for a series of higher fullerenes with different sizes, suggesting the existence of a specific precursor in their formation processes.  相似文献

Stable poly(styrene-co-sodium styrene sulfonate) (P(St-NaSS) nanoparticles with broader size distribution were synthesized by thermal emulsion polymerization without any conventional initiators and emulsifiers. The obtained polymer nanoparticles have higher ξ potential, and the particle sizes have broad distribution. The stability of polymer particles originated from the addition of small amounts of ionic comonomer, NaSS, which can act as an emulsifier in somewhat. The monomer conversion could reach up to about 28 wt% in 48 h, and did not increase by further polymerization when higher polymerization temperature (120 ℃) was employed. This polymerization system may be give some further understand for mechanism of emulsion polymerization.  相似文献
