本文给出数值方法解Volterra积分方程的稳定性分析,我们判定可约积分方法的数值稳定性基于如下试验方程其中τ是正常数,p和q是复值的。在上述试验方程的情况下,我们研究θ-方法及可约积分方法的稳定性。     

Numerical stability analysis of numerical methods for volterra integral equations with delay argument

The present paper deals with the stability properties of numerical methods for Volterra integral equations with delay argument. We assess the numerical stability of numerical methods with respect to the following test equations (0.1a) $$y\left( t \right) = \psi \left( 0 \right) + \int_0^t {\left( {py\left( s \right) + q\left( {s - \tau } \right)} \right)ds (0 \leqslant t \leqslant X)}$$ (0.1b) $$y\left( t \right) = \psi \left( t \right) \left( {t \in [ - \tau ,0)} \right)$$ where τ is a positive constant, and P and q are complex valued. We investigate the stability properties of reducible quadrature methods and θ-methods in the case of the above test equations     

GLOBAL SOLUTION TO THE CAUCHY PROBLEM ON A UNIVERSE FIREWORKS MODEL

We prove existence and uniqueness of the global solution to the Cauchy problem on a universe fireworks model with finite total mass at the initial state when the ratio of the mass surviving the explosion, the probability of the explosion of fragments and the probability function of the velocity change of a surviving particle satisfy the corresponding physical conditions. Although the nonrelativistic Boltzmann-like equation modeling the universe fireworks is mathematically easy, this article leads rather theoretically to an understanding of how to construct contractive mappings in a Banach space for the proof of the existence and uniqueness of the solution by means of methods taken from the famous work by DiPerna ＆ Lions about the Boltzmann equation. We also show both the regularity and the time-asymptotic behavior of solution to the Cauchy problem.     

THE STABILITY OF LINEAR MULTISTEP METHODS FOR SYSTEMS OF DELAY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

This paper deals with the numerical solution of initial value problems for systems of differential equations with a delay argument. The numerical stability of a linear multistep method is investigated by analysing the solution of the lest equation y'(t)=Ay(t) + By(1-t),where A,B denote constant complex N×N-matrices,and t>0.We investigate carefully the characterization of the stability region.
