LOCALIZED PATTERNS OF THE SWIFT-HOHENBERG EQUATION WITH A DISSIPATIVE TERM

In this paper, the normal form analysis of quadratic-cubic Swift-Hohenberg equation with a dissipative term is investigated by using the multiple-scale method. In addition, we obtain Hamiltonian-Hopf bifurcations of two equilibria and homoclinic snaking bifurcations of one-peak and two-peak homoclinic solutions by numerical simulations.     

LOCALIZED PATTERNS OF THE CUBIC-QUINTIC SWIFT-HOHENBERG EQUATIONS WITH TWO SYMMETRY-BREAKING TERMS

Homoclinic snake always refers to the branches of homoclinic orbits \mbox{near} a heteroclinic cycle connecting a hyperbolic or non-hyperbolic equilibrium and a periodic orbit in a reversible variational system. In this paper, the normal form of a Swift-Hohenberg equation with two different symmetry-breaking terms (non-reversible term and non-k-symmetry term) are investigated by using multiple scale method, and their bifurcation diagrams are initially studied by numerical simulations. Typically, we predict numerically the existence of so-called round-snakes and round-isolas upon particular two symmetric-breaking perturbations.     

Photomechanical Actuation of Ligand Geometry in Enantioselective Catalysis

A catalyst that couples a photoswitch to the biaryl backbone of a chiral bis(phosphine) ligand, thus allowing photochemical manipulation of ligand geometry without perturbing the electronic structure is reported. The changes in catalyst activity and selectivity upon switching can be attributed to intramolecular mechanical forces, thus laying the foundation for a new class of catalysts whose selectivity can be varied smoothly and in situ over a useful range by controlling molecular stress experienced by the catalyst during turnover. Forces on the order of 100 pN are generated, thus leading to measurable changes in the enantioselectivities of asymmetric Heck arylations and Trost allylic alkylations. The differential coupling between applied force and competing stereochemical pathways is quantified and found to be more efficient for the Heck arylations.     

Synthesis,structure and antioxidant properties of manganese(II), zinc(II) and cobalt(II) complexes with bis(benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)allylamine

Three new metal complexes, namely: [Mn(AIDB)Cl₂]·DMF (1), [Zn(AIDB)Br₂]·CH₃OH (2) and [Co(AIDB)Cl₂]·CH₃OH (3) having a ligand bis(benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)allylamine (AIDB), have been synthesized in high yields and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivities, IR, UV–Vis spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structural analysis revealed that all the three complexes 1–3 have five-coordinated trigonal bipyramid geometry where the degree of distorting is 1>3>2. In vitro antioxidant activity assay demonstrates that the complexes 1 and 3 display high scavenging activity against hydroxyl (OH·) and superoxide (O₂^−·) radicals.

     

Effects of P content in a P/HZSM-5 catalyst on the conversion of ethanol to hydrocarbons

A series of P/HZSM-5 catalysts prepared by impregnation method were used for ethanol conversion to lower olefins. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), NH3-temperature-programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) and N2 adsorption-desorption measurements. It was found that the P/HZSM-5 catalysts showed high activity and selectivity toward light olefins. The selectivities of propylene and butylene can be improved with the introduction of phosphorus (P). When the content of P reached 3.0 wt%, more than 18.9% propylene in the gaseous products was obtained over the P/HZSM-5 catalyst at 450 ?C. The introduction of P modified the strong Br?nsted acid sites of the original HZSM-5 catalysts and P/HZSM-5 catalysts could resist coke formation and showed good stability.     

Multiple positive solutions of singularly perturbed differential systems with different orders

In this paper, we consider the multiplicity of positive solutions for a class of singular higher-order perturbed differential systems with different orders. By employing a well-known fixed point theorem, some new existence results are given under the case where nonlinearity can be sign changing.     

Periodic boundary value problems for first-order impulsive dynamic equations on time scales

This paper deals with the periodic boundary value problem for a class of first-order impulsive dynamic equations on time scales. We introduce a new notion of lower and upper solutions, which extends the classical lower and upper solutions. The existence of extremal solutions is presented by virtue of the method of lower and upper solutions coupled with monotone iterative technique. An example is also included to illustrate the main results.     

Bifurcation from two equilibria of steady state solutions for non-reversible amplitude equations

In this paper, bifurcation and stability of two kinds of constant stationary solutions for non-reversible amplitude equations on a bounded domain with Neumann boundary conditions are investigated by using the perturbation theory and weak nonlinear analysis. The asymptotic behaviors and local properties of two explicit steady state solutions, and pitch-fork bifurcations are also obtained if the bounded domain is regarded as a parameter. In addition, the stability of a new increasing or decaying local steady state solution with oscillations are analyzed.     

降血脂药物中L-肉毒碱的高效液相色谱法测定

建立了高效液相色谱法测定降血脂药物中L-肉毒碱含量的简便方法.采用Kromasil NH2柱(250mm×4.6mm,5μm),以乙腈∶KH2PO4溶液(6.81g/L,用NaOH调至pH=4.7)=65∶35为流动相,流速为1.0mL/min,检测波长为205nm.结果显示,在用高效液相色谱测试L-肉毒碱(0.4g/L)时,其注射体积在0.5~10L范围内与色谱峰面积呈良好的线性关系,相关系数为0.999 9,回收率为99.53%,RSD为0.31%.该方法操作简便、快速、有良好的准确度,可作为降血脂药物中L-肉毒碱含量的测定.
