We report multidynamic molecular rotations in crystals using a concave-shape N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) binuclear Au(I) complex rotor bearing pyrazine and tetrahydrofuran (THF) molecules as multicomponent rotators. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements revealed that two THF molecules are located near the central pyrazine encapsulated by two bulky NHC ligands. From 2H solid-state NMR analysis, it was observed that the pyrazine rotated in a 2-fold site exchange with a 180° rotational angle and a 31 kJ mol−1 energy barrier, while the THF molecules showed a 23°-38° libration with a lower energy barrier (14 kJ mol−1). Interestingly, the pyrazine rotation was accelerated when the THF molecules rotated in fast site exchange with a large angle of libration, suggesting that the rotators exhibit multidynamics in a correlated manner. 相似文献

An efficient synthetic route to the resveratrol oligomers quadrangularin A and pallidol is reported. It features a scalable biomimetic oxidative dimerization that proceeds in excellent yield and with complete regioselectivity. A systematic evaluation of the natural products and their synthetic precursors as radical‐trapping antioxidants has revealed that, contrary to popular belief, this mode of action is unlikely to account for their observed biological activity. 相似文献

Metallic phase of NbS3 was synthesized by heating the crystal of semiconducting NbS3. Metallic NbS3 undergoes superconducting transition around 2 K. This paper presents some new characterizations of Euclidean distance matrices (EDMs) of special structures. More specifically, we discuss multispherical and block-structured EDMs, each of which can be viewed as a generalization of spherical EDM. This paper is concerned with nonlinear diffusion equations driven by the p(·)-Laplacian with variable exponents in space. The well-posedness is first checked for measurable exponents by setting up a subdifferential approach. The main purposes are to investigate the large-time behavior of solutions as well as to reveal the limiting behavior of solutions as p(·) diverges to the infinity in the whole or in a subset of the domain. Micro-, submicron-, and nano-scale titanium dioxide particles were reduced by reduction with a metallic calcium reductant in calcium chloride molten salt at 1173 K, and the reduction mechanism of the oxides by the calcium reductant was explored. These oxide particles, metallic calcium as a reducing agent, and calcium chloride as a molten salt were placed in a titanium crucible and heated under an argon atmosphere. Titanium dioxide was reduced to metallic titanium through a calcium titanate and lower titanium oxide, and the materials were sintered together to form a micro-porous titanium structure in molten salt at high temperature. The reduction rate of titanium dioxide was observed to increase with decreasing particle size; accordingly, the residual oxygen content in the reduced titanium decreases. The obtained micro-porous titanium appeared dark gray in color because of its low surface reflection. Micro-porous metallic titanium with a low oxygen content (0.42 wt%) and a large surface area (1.794 m2 g−1) can be successfully obtained by reduction under optimal conditions. 相似文献
