Di-bariummagnesium silicate phosphors doped with europiumand dysprosium were prepared under a weak reducing atmosphere. X-ray diffraction pattern of the sample was also done that confirmed the proper preparation of the phosphor. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images confirmed that the sample has regular surface and uniform grain size distribution. Comparative studies of phosphorescence decay of Ba2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors with different concentration of Dy3+ were done. The phosphor with 0.5/1.5 mol% of Eu/Dy, exhibited optimum green color afterglow properties. This emission is expected to arise due to transition of Eu2+ ions from any of the sublevels of 4f65d1 configuration to 8S7/2 level of the 4f7 configuration. For a suitable trap depth, the trap concentration is expected to be proportional to the concentration of Dy3+. These traps are responsible for holding the charge career for a reasonable time, subsequently for increasing the time of afterglow. Hence, optimum Dy3+ concentration produces the longer afterglow duration with higher intensity of luminescence signals. Trap depth were also calculated using thermoluminescence glow curve which was indicative of formation of traps suitable for long afterglow.  相似文献

This paper reports thermoluminescence glow curves of Eu3+, Dy3+-doped Ba2MgSi2O7 phosphor for different UV exposure times. Kinetic data were evaluated by the peak-shape method. The glow curves shift toward higher intensity with increasing exposure time to UV at 365 nm. When the heating rate was 5 °C s?1, peaks were observed at 101.76, 109.69, 102.67, and 104.05 °C, respectively, after UV exposure for 5, 10, 15, and 20 min. The glow peaks are indicative of second-order kinetics. Different kinetic data, i.e. trap depth, order of kinetics, activation energy, and frequency factor were also calculated. To evaluate the persistence characteristics of the luminescence of the phosphor, the lifetime of the charge in the trap was calculated; it was 348, 660, 368, and 428 s for UV exposure of 5, 10, 15, and 20 min, which indicates the luminescence of the phosphor is persistent.  相似文献

The present paper reports that TL glow curve and kinetic parameter of Eu3+ doped SrY2O4 phosphor irradiated by beta source. Sample was prepared by solid state preparation method. Sample was characterized by XRD analysis and particle size was calculated by Debye–Scherrer formula. The sample was irradiated with Sr-90 beta source giving a dose of 10 Gy and the heating rate used for TL measurements are 6.7 °C/s. The samples display good TL peaks at 106 °C, 225 °C and 382 °C. The corresponding kinetic parameters are calculated. The photoluminescence excitation spectrum at 247 and 364 nm monitored with 400 nm excitation and the corresponding emission peaks at 590, 612 and 624 nm are reported.  相似文献

4‐Aryl‐5‐carboethoxy‐6‐methyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐2‐pyridones were obtained, in high yield, by heating ternary mixtures of appropriate aldehydes, ethylacetoacetate and compounds possessing NH2‐C=X functionality, in presence of immobilized Bi(III)nitrate and co‐catalyst Zn(II)chloride, under solventless conditions. In this review different methods of preparing lanthanum aluminate (LaAlO3) phosphors are discussed. The molten salt method, the combustion method, the sucrose method, and the coprecipitation technique are the best methods for preparing LaAlO3 phosphors with small particle size and high surface area by low-temperature synthesis. LaAlO3 usually has a rhombohedral structure. It has good dielectric properties and, hence, is regarded as an attractive alternative to SiO2 in microelectronic devices. LaAlO3 phosphors have excellent chemical and thermal stability, mechanical durability, and exploitable optical and electronic properties, leading to a wide range of potential applications. LaAlO3 phosphors doped with rare-earth ions have luminescence properties and can, hence, be used in optical display systems.  相似文献

This paper reports TL glow curve analysis and evaluation of kinetic parameter for Amarnath stone collected from Amarnath Holy Cave. TL was recorded with different heating rates (3.3, 4, 6.7, 8, and 10 ° s?1). The samples gave good TL peaks at 310, 314, 308, 323, and 327 °C for the different heating rates. The corresponding activation energy (E) values were calculated. The peaks were indicative of second-order kinetics. Samples were characterized by XRD analysis. Inductively coupled plasma activated emission spectroscopic (ICP–AES) analysis was performed to determine percentages of elements in the natural mineral. Results from ICP–AES and XRF (X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy) studies were compared.  相似文献

YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor has been synthesized by the solid state reaction method with calcium flouride used as a flux. The resulting YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), photoluminescence . . PL excitation spectrum was found at 254,332,380,400,407, 603 and 713 nm. Under excitation of UV(713 nm) YAlO3: Sm3+ (0–3 %) broad band emission were observed from 400 to 790 nm with a maximum around 713 nm of YAlO3 host lattice accompanied by weak emission of Sm3+ (4G5/26H5/2, 6H7/2,6H9/2) transitions. The results of the XRD show that obtained YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor has a orthorhombic structure. The study suggested that Sm3+ doped phosphors are potential luminescence material for laser diode pumping and inorganic scintillators.  相似文献

This paper reports the thermoluminescence (TL) and chemical characterization of natural calcite collected from Kodwa mines of the C.G. Basin. The sample was irradiated with a 10-Gy dose from an Sr-90 beta source. The heating rate used for TL measurements was 6.7 °/s. The sample had a good TL peak at approximately 127 °C and the corresponding kinetic parameter were calculated. The effect of annealing temperature is also described for natural calcite. The photoluminescence excitation spectrum at ~254 nm and the corresponding emission spectrum peak at 395 nm are reported. Inductively coupled plasma–activated emission spectroscopy (ICP–AES) was conducted to determine the percentages of elements in the calcite mineral.  相似文献
