Chiral cyclic [n]spirobifluorenylenes consisting of helically arranged quaterphenyl rods, illustrating partial units of woven patterns, were designed and synthesized as a new family of carbon nanorings. The synthesis was accomplished by the Ni(0)-mediated Yamamoto-coupling of chiral spirobifluorene building blocks. The structures of the cyclic 3-, 4-, and 5-mers were determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis. These carbon nanorings exhibited a strong violet colored emission with high quantum yields in solution (95%, 93%, and 94% for 3-, 4-, and 5-mer, respectively). Other spectroscopic properties, including their chiroptical properties, were also investigated. The g-values for circularly polarized luminescence were found to be in the order of 10−3. Characteristic spiroconjugation induced by multiple (≧3) bifluorenyl units, for example the even-odd effect of the number of units in the matching of the signs of the orbitals, was also indicated by DFT calculations.

We describe a simple and sensitive liquid chromatographic method for the analysis of organic acids using on-line complexation with copper(II) ion. Organic acids complexed with copper(II) ion were separated on a reversed-phase C18 column and detected by UV absorption at 240 nm. The copper(II) ion concentration in the mobile phase had a great influence on separation and sensitivity. A mobile phase consisting of 10 mM copper(II) sulfate in 5 mM sulfuric acid (pH 2.3) was used to separate nine organic acids (tartaric, malic, malonic, lactic, acetic, citric, maleic, succinic and fumaric acids). The detection limits of the examined organic acids calculated at S/N = 3 ranged from 0.6 to 100 μM. The detector signal was linear over three orders of magnitude of organic acid concentration. The method successfully measured organic acids in juice and vinegar samples.  相似文献

Differential scanning calorimetry on the two-component system of dioctadecyldimethylammonium chloride (DOAC)–water was carried out in the temperature region from 80 °C down to -100 °C. Abstract

Specific inhibitors of glycosyltransferases have become of interest1 not only for investigation of carbohydrate-participating cell-surface phenomena but also for practical use such as chemotherapeutic reagents. Glycosyltransferases catalyze the transfer of glycosyl moieties from nucleotide donors to oligosaccharide acceptors. Therefore, two kinds of substrate-analog inhibitors are possible. The donor analogs have been rather well studied, but are not specific. On the other hand, glycosyltransferases have in general smct acceptor specifkity. Recently, acceptor analogs which inhibit the corresponding glycosyltransferases were reported2-5 and as expected were acceptor-specific inhibitors.  相似文献

A useful key intermediate for the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, 3-aminopiperidine 1, was successfully resolved with an enantiomerically pure resolving agent, N-tosyl-(S)-phenylalanine 2, to give both stereoisomers (R)-1 and (S)-1 as a less-soluble diastereomeric salt with (S)-2, via a dielectrically controlled resolution (DCR) phenomenon.  相似文献

Five new 2,2′-bipyridines functionalized with a perylene or a perylenediimide moiety were synthesized and the corresponding heteroleptic ruthenium(II) complexes ([Ru(bpy)2(L)](PF6)2; bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl, L = perylene-substituted bpy ligand) were prepared. The UV–vis spectra of the ruthenium(II) complexes showed red-shifted and intense absorption bands derived from the conjugated structure of the new ligands.  相似文献

Serinol nucleic acid (SNA) is a promising candidate for nucleic acid‐based molecular probes and drugs due to its high affinity for RNA. Our previous work revealed that incorporation of 2,6‐diaminpurine (D), which can form three hydrogen bonds with uracil, into SNA increases the melting temperature of SNA‐RNA duplexes. However, D incorporation into short self‐complementary regions of SNA promoted self‐dimerization and hindered hybridization with RNA. Here we synthesized a SNA monomer of 2‐thiouracil (sU), which was expected to inhibit base pairing with D by steric hindrance between sulfur and the amino group. To prepare the SNA containing D and sU in high yield, we customized the protecting groups on D and sU monomers that can be readily deprotected under acidic conditions. Incorporation of D and sU into SNA facilitated stable duplex formation with target RNA by suppressing the self‐hybridization of SNA and increasing the stability of the heteroduplex of SNA and its complementary RNA. Our results have important implications for the development of SNA‐based probes and nucleic acid drugs.  相似文献

The oxidation of alcohols using catalytic amounts of metal complexes is highly attractive from the viewpoint of green chemistry principles. However, examples of metal complex-catalyzed oxidations of alcohols with O2 using water as the solvent are still rare, and precious metals, high-pressure O2 or air, and a stoichiometric amount of base are often required. In this study, it was found that an oxovanadium-4,4′-t-Bubpy (4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridyl) complex exhibited high catalytic activity in the oxidation of benzhydrols under an atmosphere of O2 in water as the sole solvent. Interestingly, this catalytic oxidation method could be applied to the gram-scale aerobic oxidation of alcohols in water under the atmosphere.  相似文献

A new system combining a soft plasma ionization (SPI) source with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOFMS) has been successfully developed and applied to direct and on-line analysis of nanoparticles in smoke generated during combustion of mosquito coils with no sample preparation. The mass spectra of nanoparticles in smoke were examined in conjunction with the effects of species, pressure and current of the SPI discharge on fragmentation. The results indicated that a maximum mass of m/z 1576 was detectable when the following optima SPI conditions were satisfied: a He gas pressure of 1000 Pa with an air pressure of 1600 Pa and a discharge current of 110 mA. Furthermore, considering the results for emission spectra we suppose an ionization mechanism of SPI in which excitation and ionization of nitrogen molecule is promoted by the presence of He gas, leading to promote the smoke sample ionization. The mass spectrum of nanoparticles showed specific patterns of a peak interval of 74 which were assigned to triacetylene (1,3,5-hexatriyne). The most abundant peak in the mass spectrum, at m/z 452, was assigned to triacontanoic acid.  相似文献
