By using the crystalline precursor decomposition approach and direct co-precipitation the composition and mesostructure of cobalt-based spinels can be controlled. A systematic substitution of cobalt with redox-active iron and redox-inactive magnesium and aluminum in a cobalt spinel with anisotropic particle morphology with a preferred 111 surface termination is presented, resulting in a substitution series including Co3O4, MgCo2O4, Co2FeO4, Co2AlO4 and CoFe2O4. The role of redox pairs in the spinels is investigated in chemical water oxidation by using ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN test), electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and H2O2 decomposition. Studying the effect of dominant surface termination, isotropic Co3O4 and CoFe2O4 catalysts with more or less spherical particles are compared to their anisotropic analogues. For CAN-test and OER, Co3+ plays the major role for high activity. In H2O2 decomposition, Co2+ reveals itself to be of major importance. Redox active cations in the structure enhance the catalytic activity in all reactions. A benefit of a predominant 111 surface termination depends on the cobalt oxidation state in the as-prepared catalysts and the investigated reaction.  相似文献

The effect of total solar eclipse on atmospheric conductivities has been studied. Continuous measurements of both types of positive and negative electrical conductivities and some meteorological parameters in conjunction with the total solar eclipse of 22 July, 2009 were made from 21 to 23 July, 2009 at Roorkee (29°52′ N, 77°53′ E, 275 m above sea level). Roorkee observed 90% maximum obscurity of eclipse since it was close to the path of totality. The event started from 05:28 AM IST and ended at 07:42 AM IST with the total eclipse at 06:30 AM IST. Considerable increase of both positive and negative conductivities were recorded during the eclipse with respect to those made on any other day. Increase in relative humidity and decrease in temperature were also observed during the period of eclipse.  相似文献

Background

PB-22 (1-pentyl-8-quinolinyl ester-1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid) and 5F-PB-22 (1-(5-fluoropentyl)-8-quinolinyl ester-1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid) are new synthetic cannabinoids with a quinoline substructure and the first marketed substances with an ester bond linkage. No human metabolism data are currently available, making it difficult to document PB-22 and 5F-PB-22 intake from urine analysis, and complicating assessment of the drugs’ pharmacodynamic and toxicological properties.

Methods

We incubated 10 μmol/l PB-22 and 5F-PB-22 with pooled cryopreserved human hepatocytes up to 3 h and analyzed samples on a TripleTOF 5600+ high-resolution mass spectrometer. Data were acquired via TOF scan, followed by information-dependent acquisition triggered product ion scans with mass defect filtering (MDF). The accurate mass full scan MS and MS/MS metabolite datasets were analyzed with multiple data processing techniques, including MDF, neutral loss and product ion filtering.

Results

The predominant metabolic pathway for PB-22 and 5F-PB-22 was ester hydrolysis yielding a wide variety of (5-fluoro)pentylindole-3-carboxylic acid metabolites. Twenty metabolites for PB-22 and 22 metabolites for 5F-PB-22 were identified, with the majority generated by oxidation with or without glucuronidation. For 5F-PB-22, oxidative defluorination occurred forming PB-22 metabolites. Both compounds underwent epoxide formation followed by internal hydrolysis and also produced a cysteine conjugate.

Conclusion

Human hepatic metabolic profiles were generated for PB-22 and 5F-PB-22. Pentylindole-3-carboxylic acid, hydroxypentyl-PB-22 and PB-22 pentanoic acid for PB-22, and 5′-fluoropentylindole-3-carboxylic acid, PB-22 pentanoic acid and the hydroxy-5F-PB-22 metabolite with oxidation at the quinoline system for 5F-PB-22 are likely the best targets to incorporate into analytical methods for urine to document PB-22 and 5F-PB-22 intake.

A well‐known limitation in the fabrication of metal‐graphene composite has been the use of surfactants that strongly adsorb on the surface and reduce the performance of the catalyst. We demonstrate here a novel one‐pot synthesis of gold nanoparticles by laser ablation of gold strip and in‐situ decoration on graphene substrate. Not only the impregnation of nanoparticles was linker free, but also the synthesis by itself was surfactant‐free. The composite materials were well characterized morphologically and functionally using electron microscopy, X‐ray and electron diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Zeta potential, electrochemical measurements and UV‐Visible spectroscopic techniques. This linker‐free gold‐graphene based composite has been employed for catalytic applications pertaining to electrooxidation. We have explored the use of this composite as a binder‐free electrode in electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol and ethanol in alkaline medium. Additionally, the onset potential for ethanol oxidation was found to be more negative, ?100 mV, an indication of its promising application in direct ethanol fuel cells.  相似文献

The oxidation kinetics of cycloheptanone by chloramine-T in alkaline media has been investigated. A mechanism involving the formation of an intermediate by the interaction between the enolic anion of cycloheptanone and chloramine-T in a slow step followed by its interaction with another molecule of chloramine-T in a fast step leading to products has been proposed. The scheme satisfactorily accords with the observed stoichiometry, negligible influence of ionic strength and a positive dielectric effect. The method for determination of chlorpyrifos is validated and dissipation behaviour of residue in scented rose and percent transfer in different products is described. GC-electron-capture detection with a HP-1, 30 m x 0.53 mm, 3.0 microm capillary column and nitrogen at 1 ml/min was used in the study. Plant matrices studied were: leaves, flowers, soil, rose water, absolute and concrete. Detector response linearity and sensitivity, limit of detection and determination, percent recovery were determined based on area response (mm2) of the standard. Analytical field and laboratory samples (rose water by hydro-distillation of the flowers, concrete and absolute by hexane extraction and condensation) were analysed for evaluation of the method. Samples were extracted with acetone, partitioned with water, saturated sodium chloride solution and dichloromethane. The organic layer was rotary-evaporated to 2 ml for cleanup with silica-carbon column. The column was eluted with dichloromethane-toluene-acetone (10:2:2, v/v/v) and the derived solution was rotary-evaporated to 5 ml for end analysis. Matrix enhancement effect was observed for leaf and soil samples for which corrective approach was followed to compensate for overestimation of the residue. Limit of detection for chlorpyrifos standard was 0.05 mg/l with good linearity of detector response (R2 = 0.99). Percent recovery ranged from 78 to 117% in different plant matrices (fortification level 1, 4 and 8 mg/l). Dissipation behaviour showed that chlorpyrifos was below detection limit by the 12th day of application on the scented rose with half life of 3.40 days on leaves and 3.10 days on flowers at 0.1% dosage. Percent transfer studies showed that 5.71, 46.91 and 38.80% of the residue from flowers was transferred to rose water, concrete and absolute, respectively.  相似文献

This article highlights some physical studies on the relaxation dynamics and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) to proximal dye molecule and the way these phenomena change with core to core-shell QD is discussed. Efforts to understand the optical and carrier relaxation dynamics of CdSe and CdSe/ZnS QDs are made by using absorption, steady-state fluorescence and time-resolved fluorescence (TCSPC) techniques. Steady-state as well as time-resolved fluorescence measurements were employed to evaluate the QD PL quenching induced by the proximal Rhodamine 101 dye molecule and to examine the influence of deep trap states on energy transfer efficiency. The FRET parameters such as spectral overlap, Förster distance, intermolecular distance for each donor-acceptor pair are determined and variation of these parameters from core to core-shell QD is discussed.  相似文献

An earlier analysis of the canonical form of a pair of invertible operators obeying the exchange rule is extended to cover a set of operators, between each pair of which a relation of this type exists; and for which a power of each operator is the unit matrix. Such relations define a system which may be regarded as a generalization of the Dirac matrices of relativistic quantum mechanics. We concentrate upon the group theoretic aspects of such a system and its matrix representations. Applications arise from the fact that all projective representations of finite abelian groups take the form of a Dirac Group. In particular, the representations of the magnetic space groups, which are projective representations of the lattice groups, arise in this manner.  相似文献

Novel aza-BODIPY derivatives substituted with heavy atoms such as bromine and iodine were synthesized, and their triplet and singlet oxygen generation efficiencies have been investigated. These derivatives showed absorption in the NIR region with high molar extinction coefficients. The dye substituted with four iodine atoms showed yields of Φ(T) = 0.78 and Φ((1)O(2)) = 0.70, which are the highest values so far obtained for the aza-BODIPY derivatives.  相似文献

Condition monitoring is implementation of the advanced diagnostic techniques to reduce downtime and to increase the efficiency and reliability. The research is for determining the usage of advanced techniques like Vibration analysis, Oil analysis and Thermography to diagnose ensuing problems of the Plant and Machinery at an early stage and plan to take corrective and preventive actions to eliminate the forthcoming breakdown and enhancing the reliability of the system. Nowadays, the most of the industries have adopted the condition monitoring techniques as a part of support system to the basic maintenance strategies. Major condition monitoring technique they follow is Vibration Spectrum Analysis, which can detect faults at a very early stage. However implementation of other techniques like Oil analysis or Ferrography, Thermography etc. can further enhance the data interpretation as they would detect the source of abnormality at much early stage thus providing us with a longer lead time to plan and take the corrective actions. In Large Captive Power Plants and Aluminium Smelters, Integrated Condition Monitoring techniques play an important role as stoppage of primary system and its auxiliaries (boiler, steam turbine, generator, coal and ash handling plants etc.) results into the stoppage of the entire plant, which in turn leads to loss of productivity. From economical and operational point of view, it is desirable to ensure optimum level of system availability.  相似文献
