The Monitoring System Using FOBG Sensor for The Health of the Rocket

A novel heath monitoring system of the rocket based on fiber optic Bragg gratings is brought forward, its component units and working principle are also described.     

基于2,5-二(4′-甲酰基苯基)苯乙烯的螺旋链光学活性聚合物的合成与表征

通过2,5-二溴苯乙烯与对甲酰基苯硼酸的Suzuki偶联反应得到2,5-二(4′-甲酰基苯基)苯乙烯.在催化剂量的冰乙酸存在下,与光学纯的(S)-(-)-α-甲基苄胺或(R)-(+)-α-甲基苄胺发生缩和反应,得到了一对手性非外消旋单体,(+)-2,5-二{4-′[(N-(S)-α-甲基苄亚胺基)次甲基]苯基}苯乙烯和(-)-2,5-二{4′-[(N-(R)-α-甲基苄亚胺基)次甲基]苯基}苯乙烯.以偶氮二异丁腈(AIBN)或过氧化苯甲酰(BPO)为引发剂,经自由基溶液聚合得到光学活性聚合物.比旋光度、紫外-可见吸收光谱以及圆二色光谱研究表明,聚合物主链可能形成了某一方向占优的稳定螺旋构象,且该螺旋构象的旋光方向与单体的旋光方向相反.聚合条件对聚合物的光学活性有很大影响,在极性较大的芳香族溶剂和较高温度下得到的聚合物具有和单体相差更大的比旋光度.侧基的手性基团脱除后,聚合物仍具有一定的旋光性,说明聚合过程中形成的螺旋手性具有一定的记忆效应.     

Synthesis of acetone oxime through acetone ammoximation over TS-1

The ammoximation of acetone to acetone oxime with 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide over TS-1 has been studied. The conversion of acetone and the selectivity to acetone oxime can reach 99% and 94%, respectively. The by-products are the corresponding hydrazone, imine and small amounts of unidentified compounds. The influence of various parameters such as solvent, temperature, amounts of catalyst and the NH₃ to acetone molar ratio were investigated. "LIVING" FREE RADICAL SYNTHESIS OF NOVEL RODCOIL DIBLOCK COPOLYMERS WITH POLYSTYRENE AND MESOGEN-JACKETED LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER SEGMENTS*

The synthesis of rod-coil diblock copolymers was achieved for the firsttime by TEMPO-mediated "living" free radical polymerization of styrene and 2,5-bis[(4-methoxyphenyl)oxycarbonyl]styrene(MPCS). The block architecture of the two diblockcopolymers thus prepared, MPCS-b-St(5400/2400) and MPCS-b-St(10800/8700), was con-firmed by GPC, DSC studies and the formation of multimolecular micelles.     

Synthesis and photoluminescence properties of 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives and their metallic complexes

Three new 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives, i.e. 5-[(4-styryl-benzylidene)-amino]-quinolin-8-ol (1), 5-[(4-bromo-2-fluoro-benzylidene)-amino]-quinoline-8-ol (2) and 2-[2-(9-ethyl-9H-carbazol-2yl)-vinyl]-quinolin-8-ol (3), and their metallic complexes were synthesized and identified by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis), ¹H nuclear magnetic resonance (¹H NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), mass spectrometry (MS) spectra and elemental analyses. Their fluorescence properties were studied by photoluminescence, which indicated that the luminescence wavelength of 5-and 2-substitued-8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives shifted to red in comparison with that of 8-hydroxyquinoline. Meanwhile, the fluorescence lifetime of 2-[2-(9-ethyl-9H-carbazol-2yl)-vinyl]-quinolin-8-ol and its zinc complex showed long lifetime in benzene solution. __________ Translated from Chinese Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2007, 27(3): 402–408 [译自: 有机化学]

INFLUENCE OF BACKBONE RIGIDITY ON THE LIQUID CRYSTALLINITY OF MESOGEN-CONTAINING POLYACETYLENES

Two acetylene polymers containing cyanobiphenyl-based mesogens,poly { 10-[ ((4'- cyano-4-biphenylyl ) oxy ) carbonyl] - 1 -decyne } (PA8CN ), which has a relativelyfiexible polyalkyne backbone, and poly {[4-(((12-((4'-cyano-4-biphenylyl)oxy)dodecyl)oxy)carbonyl) phenyl]-acetylene} (PB12CN), which has a fairly rigid poly (phenylacetylene )backbone, were synthesized using respectively WCl_6 and [Rh(nbd)Cl]_2 as the catalysts.PA8CN exhibits enantiotropic interdigitated smectic A phase (S_(Ad)) over a temperaturerange as wide as ca. 100℃, whereas PB12CN is non-mesomorphic, demonstrating thatthe backbone rigidity plays an important role in determining the liquid crystallinity of thepolyacetylenes.

Chiral imides as potential chiroptical switches: synthesis and optical properties

A series of chiral aromatic imides and diimides were synthesized and their electrochemical, absorption, fluorescent, and chiroptical properties were examined for their potential application as molecular chiroptical switches. These compounds exhibit strong UV-vis absorptions, and can be electrochemically reduced to radical anions that absorb in the near infrared (NIR) region. Further reduction to the dianionic states results in new absorptions in the visible region. The changes in circular dichroism upon redox switching were apparent in the UV-vis region but were absent in the NIR region.
