All Pure Two-Qudit Entangled States Generated via a Universal Yang-Baxter Matrix Assisted by Local Unitary Transformations

We show that all pure entangled states of two d-dimensional quantum systems （i.e., two qudits） can be generated from an initial separable state via a universal Yang-Baxter matrix if one is assisted by local unitary transformations.     

Chemical and biologically active constituents of <Emphasis Type="Italic">Salsola collina</Emphasis>

A new natural product (N-acetyltryptophan), together with 22 known constituents, including seven alkaloids, six flavonoids, six organic acids, and other compounds, were isolated from Salsola collina Pall. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical reaction and spectral evidence. Among the isolated compounds, N-acetyltryptophan (8) showed moderate inhibition of a-amylase activity, and terrestric acid (9) showed positive antifungal activity.     

Amphiphilic star-block copolymers and supramolecular transformation of nanogel-like micelles to nanovesicles

Amphiphilic star-block copolymers based on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) with adamantyl end-functionalization were synthesized via anionic ring-opening polymerization and alkyne-azide "Click Chemistry" coupling. In aqueous medium, the copolymers self-assembled into nanogel-like large compound micelles, and transformed into vesicular nanostructures under the direction of host-guest interaction between the adamantyl end and dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin.     

Linear response of tripartite entanglement to infinitesimal noise

Recent experimental progress in prolonging the coherence time of a quantum system prompts us to explore the behavior of quantum entanglement at the beginning of the decoherence process. The response of the entanglement under an infinitesimal noise can serve as a signature of the robustness of entangled states. A crucial problem of this topic in multipartite systems is to compute the degree of entanglement in a mixed state. We find a family of global noise in three-qubit systems, which is composed of four W states. Under its influence, the linear response of the tripartite entanglement of a symmetrical three-qubit pure state is studied. A lower bound of the linear response is found to depend completely on the initial tripartite and bipartite entanglement. This result shows that the decay of tripartite entanglement is hastened by the bipartite one.
