古里雅冰帽气候环境记录

古里雅冰帽极低的冰温和冻结到冰床等特征决定了该冰帽贮存了理想的气候环境记录。氧同位素、微粒含量、阴离子、阳离子等参数清楚的年际和季节循环特征,是该冰帽冰芯的高分辨率时间序列的准确断代的基础。冷期时稳定氧同位素值减少、微粒含量和各被测化学元素增加,而暖期时稳定氧同位素值增大、微粒含量和各被测化学元素减少的特征以及各种突发事件记录的合理解释将是系统恢复该冰帽所记录的各种气候环境的钥匙。古里雅冰芯记录表明,80年代中后期在这里发生的气候变暖是过去几十年最强烈的一次。     

一种新颖高效的气体发生器

针对启普发生器使用过程中存在液体使用量大、反应溶液利用效率低、安全性差等问题，研制了一种新型的气体发生器。该装置由储液杯、流量调节器、排气管和反应容器组成。利用流量调节器将反应液滴加到固体药品上，固-液反应充分，排出的废液基本不含反应试剂，大大减少了液体药品的用量。实验结果表明，该新型制气装置具有液体试剂用量少、利用效率高、安全性能优良、操作方便，同时兼具随开随用等特点，可有效地应用于化学实验教学中。     

Observation of Periodic Multiplication and Chaotic Phenomena in Atmospheric Cold Plasma Jets

We investigate the temporal evolution of the current pulses from an ac Fie cold plasma jet at atmospheric pressure and with driving frequency in the range 14.76-15.30 kHz. The driving frequency is used as the plasma system＇s bifurcation parameter in analogy with the evolution in which the current pulses undergoes multiplication and chaos. Such time-domain nonlineaxity is important for controlling instabilities in atmospheric glow discharges. In addition, the observation can provide some data to support the simulation results reported previously [Appl. Phys. Lett. 90 （2007） 071501].     

利用新颖高效气体发生装置以氯气氧化法制备高锰酸钾实验设计及效果*

基于一种新颖高效气体发生装置,设计了以氯气为氧化剂,理论产率接近100%的将锰酸钾高效转化为高锰酸钾的实验方案。实验结果表明:使用本设计制备高纯度高锰酸钾,既可保证高锰酸钾的理论转化率,减少歧化反应副产物对纯度的影响,同时得到的副产品次氯酸钠及氯水可用做无机教学实验的基础试剂,符合“循环经济”指导思想。     

Laser-diode-pumped zigzag slab Nd:YAG master oscillator power amplifier

A high-repetition rate master oscillator power amplifier pumped with laser diodes (LDs) is reported. An injection seeding single-frequency electro-optical Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is used as an oscillator, and a conductively cooled Nd:YAG zigzag slab with a bounce-pumped architecture is utilized as a power amplifier. Pulse energies of over 800 mJ at 1 064 nm and 400 mJ at 532 nm, corresponding to average powers of 200 and 100 W, respectively, are achieved with a 12.6-ns pulse width at 250 Hz. Output frequency fluctuations and single-frequency operation are further monitored. Experimental results reveal that the proposed system, which features a single-pass amplified configuration, is a promising design for space-based applications.     

Mechanical design and analysis of a low beta squeezed half-wave resonator

A superconducting squeezed type half-wave resonator （HWR） of β=0.09 has been developed at the Institute of Modern Physics, Lanzhou. In this paper, a basic design is presented for the stiffening structure for the detuning effect caused by helium pressure and Lorentz force. The mechanical modal analysis has been investigated the with finite element method （FEM）. Based on these considerations, a new stiffening structure is proposed for the HWR cavity. The computation results concerning the frequency shift show that the low beta HWR cavity with new stiffening structure has low frequency sensitivity coefficient df/dp and Lorentz force detuning coefficient KL, and stable mechanical properties.
