The vibronic vapour phase photoacoustic spectrum of Br2 in the wavelength region 505–541 nm (19796–18480 cm−1) has been recorded using microphone as well as pump-probe method. Discrete vibronic bands superimposed on a monotonically increasing continuum background towards the dissociation limit results from the overlapping B 3Π 0u /+X 1Σ g /+ and 1Π1u X 1Σ g /+ electronic transitions. Vibronic bands originating from υ″=0 have been used to estimate the relative rate of non-radiative relaxation as a function of the excited state B 3Π0u vibrational quantum number υ′. A comparison with the optical absorption spectroscopy of Br2 leads to the identification of three broad spectral regions between 505 and 541 nm (19796 and 18480 cm−1) on the basis of different non-radiative relaxation processes.  相似文献

Summary Transition metal(II) chloro complexes of the new Schiff base ligand 1,2-bis(2-pyridylmethyleneimino)benzene (L), derived from 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde and 1,2-phenylenediamine, were prepared. Compounds of [MnLCl2]-H2O, [CoLCl2]·2H2O, [NiLCl2] and [Zn3L2Cl4]Cl2 were prepared. Details are given of the formation of the complex [Cu(L·EtOH)Cl2], in which one molecule of EtOH adds across only one of the Schiff base {ie531-01} groups to give the coordinated ligand L·EtOH. The rationalization of this type of reaction by considering the steric requirements of the ligand is given. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, thermal techniques, mass spectra, magnetic susceptibilities and spectroscopic (i.r., ligand field, e.s.r., 1H n.m.r.) studies. The nitrogen donor atoms of the tetradentate ligands L and L·EtOH are assumed to adopt an essentially planar arrangement about manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II), with the remaining axial coordination sites occupied by chloro ligands to yield high-spin octahedral molecules. A trinuclear structure, based on tetrahedrally coordinated metal ions, is proposed for the zinc(II) complex.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of combination therapy with photodynamic therapy (PDT) and a novel antiangiogenic regimen using monoclonal antibodies against both vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR)-1 (MF1) and VEGFR-2 (DC101) on intracranial glioblastoma xenografts in nude mice. Nude mice bearing intracerebral U87 glioblastoma were treated with PDT and the antiangiogenic regimen (MF1 and DC101) either alone or in combination, while those left untreated served as tumor controls. Tumor volume and animal survival time were analyzed to evaluate the outcome of different treatment modalities. In addition, the immunohistochemical expression of VEGF in the brain adjacent to the tumor, von Willebrand factor (vWF), apoptotic, and proliferative markers in the tumor area were examined. PDT or MF1 + DC101 alone significantly reduced the tumor volume and prolonged the survival time of glioma-implanted animals. Combined therapy markedly reduced tumor volume and increased survival time with significantly better outcomes than both monotherapies. Both vWF and VEGF levels significantly increased after PDT while they both significantly decreased after antiangiogenic treatment, compared with no treatment. PDT plus antiangiogenic treatment led to significant decreases in both vWF and VEGF expression, compared with PDT alone. Either PDT or antiangiogenic treatment alone significantly increased tumor cell apoptosis compared with no treatment, while combination therapy resulted in further augmentation of apoptosis. Antiangiogenic treatment with or without PDT significantly decreased tumor cell proliferation, compared with either no treatment or PDT alone. In summary, we demonstrate both significant inhibition of tumor growth and extended survival of mice treated by the combination therapy with PDT and antiangiogenic agents, compared with each single treatment, suggesting that the combination therapy may be a promising strategy to improve clinical outcomes in glioblastoma.  相似文献

From the transport studies in the bilayer manganites LaSr2−x Ca x Mn2O7, we have found the variable-range hopping model proposed by Viret et al to be inadequate to describe the transport of charge in these materials. The polarons appear to hop to their nearest neighbors with an activation energy, which in part is dependent on the magnetic interactions in the lattice.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to investigate the treatment of 9L gliosarcoma brain tumor in the rat with the combination of surgical resection and photodynamic therapy (PDT). Nude rats with intracranial 7-day-old 9L gliomas were randomly subjected to no treatment, PDT alone (Photofrin: 2 mg kg(-1), optical: 80 J cm(-2)), surgical resection alone or resection combined with 2 mg kg(-1) Photofrin-mediated PDT at an optical dose of 80 J cm(-2). All animals were sacrificed 14 days after tumor implantation. Hematoxylin-and-eosin and immunohistochemical stainings were performed to assess the tumor volume and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the brain adjacent to the tumor (BAT) as well as the tumor cell apoptosis and proliferation. Our data show that both surgical resection alone and PDT alone significantly decreased tumor volume, but furthermore, surgical resection combined with PDT significantly reduced the tumor volume and reduced local tumor infiltration compared to either surgical resection or PDT treatment alone. PDT treatment with or without resection increased tumor apoptosis, but resection alone did not alter the tumor cell apoptosis compared with a nontreatment control group. Both surgical resection alone and PDT alone induced a significant increase in VEGF expression in the BAT; however intraoperative PDT did not further increase VEGF expression, compared with surgery alone or PDT alone. No significant differences were found in tumor cell proliferation as indicated by Ki67 immunoreactivity among the four groups. Our results suggest that PDT enhances the efficacy of surgical resection in the management of malignant gliomas without increasing VEGF expression in the BAT.  相似文献

The temperature behavior of electron and hole mobilities and carrier concentrations was measured in p-type Cr doped semi-insulating GaAs. The above quantities were determined by measuring at a given temperature the photomagnetoresistance and photo-Hall effect vs magnetic field intensity. A minimum of hole concentration is observed at 210–225 K. The electron concentration either remains constant below 190–200 K or it rises again at lower temperatures. The mobilities of both carriers show a maximum at almost the same temperatures with those where the behavior of n and p changes. We try to explain the above on the basis of radiative recombination and impurity conduction.  相似文献

Summary New complexes of the general formulae [MLA(H2O)2]-Cl2 (M=Ni or Cu), [MLAX2] (M=Co or Cu; X=Cl or Br), [NiLABr2]·H2O, [MLA] [MCl4] (M=Pd or Pt), [NiLB(H2O)2]Cl2·2H2O, [MLBCl2] (M=Co, Ni, Cu, Pd or Pt; X=Cl or Br) and [MLB] [MCl4] (M=Pd or Pt), where LA=N,N-ethylenebis(2-acetylpyridine imine) and LB=N, N-ethylenebis(2-benzoylpyridine imine), have been isolated. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, t.g./d.t.g. methods, magnetic susceptibilities and spectroscopic (i.r., far-i.r., ligand field,1Hn.m.r.) studies. Monomeric pseudo-octahedral stereochemistries for the CoII, NiII and CuII complexes andcis square planar structures for the compounds [MLBX2] (M=Pd or Pt; X=Cl or Br) are assigned in the solid state. The molecules LA and LB behave as tetradentate chelate ligands in the CoII, NiII, CuII and Magnus-type PdII and PtII complexes, bonding through both the pyridine and methine nitrogen atoms. A bidentateN-methine coordination of the Schiff base LB is assigned in the [MLBX2] complexes (M=Pd or Pt; X=Cl or Br). The anomalous magnetic moment values of the CoII complexes are discussed.  相似文献
