The plane elasticity theory of two-dimensional octagonal quasicrystals is developed in this paper. The plane elasticity problem of quasicrystals is reduced to a single higher-order partial differential equation by introducing a displacement function. As an example, the exact analytic solution of a Mode I Griffith crack in the material is obtained by using the Fourier transform and dual integral equations theory, then the displacement and stress fields, stress intensity factor and strain energy release rate can be calculated. The physical significance of the results relative to the phason and the difference between the mechanical behaviours of the crack problem in crystals and quasicrystals are figured out. These provide important information for studying the deformation and fracture of the new solid phase.  相似文献

With the trends in miniaturization, and particularly the introduction of micro- and nano-electro-mechanical system,piezoelectric materials used in microelectronic devices are deposited usually in the form of thin film on elastic substrates.In this work, the bending of a bilayer comprising a piezoelectric film deposited on an elastic substrate, due to the mismatch,is investigated. An analytic formula relating the curvature of the bilayer to the mismatch, the electroelastic constants and the film thickness is obtained, and from this formula, a transverse piezoelectric constant d_31 can be estimated. Meanwhile the influence of electromechanical coupling coefficient on the curvature is discussed.  相似文献

基于各向异性弹性理论的有限元方法,研究了金字塔形自组织Ge/Si半导体量子点应变能随高宽比变化的规律:系统的应变能随着高宽比的增大而逐渐减小.并通过自由能(应变能与表面能之和)讨论了量子点的平衡形态.结果表明,对于固定体积的量子点,存在一个高宽比值,称之为平衡高宽比,使得系统的自由能最低.同时,还给出了量子点的应力、应变、流体静应变及双轴应变分布.这些可以作为阐明应变自组织量子点实验的理论基础. 关键词: 量子点 应变分布 自由能 平衡形态  相似文献

本文通过引入位移函数和应用Fourier分析与对偶积分方程理论圆满解决了在一个刚性平头冲头作用下八次对称二维准晶材料的接触问题,得到了此材料接触问题应力与位移的解析表达式。结果表明,如果接触位移在接触区域内为一常数,则接触应力在接触边缘具有1/2阶奇异性,这为准晶材料的接触变形提供了重要的力学量。  相似文献

发展了八次对称二维准晶材料的断裂理论.应用Fourier变换与对偶积分方程理论,得到了八次对称二维准晶材料Ⅱ型Griffith裂纹的精确解析解,并由此确定了应力强度因子和应变能释放率,讨论了与相位子场有关结果的物理意义以及晶体与准晶体裂纹问题力学行为的差别,这些为研究此新固体材料的变形和断裂提供了重要的信息.  相似文献

Under certain growth conditions for systems with a film/substrate lattice misfit, the deposited material is known to aggregate into island-like shapes. We have obtained an analytical expression of the total free energy, which consists of strain energy, surface energy and interfacial energy of a coherent island/substrate system, and the change of equilibrium aspect ratio versus the volume of the island and the misfit of lattices in the system, which provides a broad perspective on island behaviour. These then were used to study the equilibrium shapes of the system. The results show that in order to minimize the total free energy, a coherent island will have a particular height-to-width aspect ratio, called equilibrium aspect ratio, that is a function of the island volume and misfit. The aspect ratio is increased with increasing island volume at a fixed misfit, and with increasing misfit strain between the island and substrate at a fixed island volume. Moreover, the effect of misfit dislocation on the equilibrium shape of the island is also examined. The results obtained are in good agreement with experiment of observations and thus can serve as a basis for interpreting the experiments.  相似文献

A method for analyzing the elasticity problem of cubic quasicrystal is developed. The axisymmetric elasticity problem of cubic quasicrystal is reduced to a single higher-order partial differential equation by introducing a displacement function.
