Excess enthalpy of ternary mixture for diamine+heptane+cyclohexan

The excess molar enthalpy of ternary mixture for 3-diethylaminopropylamine+heptane+cyclohexane were measured using a Calvet microcalorimeter at 303.15 K. Empirical equations, Redlich-Kister, Tsao-Smith, and Kohler and group contribution models, UNIFAC (modified version) and DISQUAC have been applied. A reasonable representation of ternary data is obtained. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Synthesis and characterization of novel perfluorinated polyimides with 3D‐controlled structures for photonic applications

We have designed and synthesized novel perfluorinated polyimides with 3D controlled structure. At first, we successfully developed the new synthetic routes to diamines with pendant bulky perfluorinated aromatic units in a multi‐step synthetic procedure. Novel perfluorinated polyimides were prepared in a two‐step reaction in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone (NMP) solution: The first step was for the synthesis of polyamic acids (PAAs) and the second reaction was for the imidization of PAA. The polymer yield was over 89% and the inherent viscosity of PAAs was in the range of 0.24–0.36 dL/g. The thin films were prepared by spin‐coating the PAA solution in NMP onto various substrates such as a Si wafer or a KBr pellet, dried at 80 °C and further cured at 230 °C. The resultant polyimides are thermally stable over 400 °C. The refractive index and birefringence of the resultant polyimides are 1.5858–1.6452 and 0.01–0.005, respectively. The refractive index of polyimide decreases with increasing the fluorine content. The copolymerization and the ether linkages into the backbone reduce the birefringence of polyimides. Surprisingly, the pendant ether linkage is not a crucial factor in reducing the polyimide birefringence. Intra-annular cyclophane diamines as proton sponges: a computational study

Gas-phase proton affinities of cyclophanes containing intra-annular amino groups were calculated using density functional theory (DFT) at the B3LYP/6-31+G^∗∗//B3LYP/6-31G^∗ level. They are higher in magnitude as those for proton sponges such as 1,8-bisaminonaphthalene, however, they are slightly weaker bases than 1,8-bis(dimethylamino)naphthalene. The high basicity of the cyclophane diamines is attributed mainly to their structural flexibility, which allows them to maximize the hydrogen bond strength in the cations by achieving N-H?N linearity, while strain relief upon protonation is less important. Another contributing factor is the stabilizing interaction of the added proton with adjacent phenyl π systems of the cyclophanes. Barriers for proton transfer between the nitrogen atoms of the diamine cations are also reported.

Efficient Debromination of Vicinal α，β—Dibromo Carboxylic Acid Derivatives with the Sm／HOAc System

The α，β vicinal dibrome carboxylic acid and its derivatives were debrominated with Sm/HOAc system to afford the corresponding cinnamic acid and its derivatives in good yields under mild conditions.

邻二醇是有机合成中重要的合成子,是合成烯烃、酮类化合物的重要中间体,广泛用于农药、医药等精细化工品的合成.合成邻二醇最有效的方法是羰基化合物的还原偶联,通常由羰基化合物与相应的金属试剂或金属络合物作用而实现,往往反应时间长,要求的条件苛刻,有的收率比较低.     

超声波辐射下金属锰引发芳香醛的偶联反应

超声波引发下Mn-H2O-HOAc体系中进行的一系列芳香醛的偶联反应,室温反应3 h得到45%～71%的邻二醇产品.     

Thin‐Film Infrared Spectroscopy of Acetonitrile

Acetonitrile and [D₃]acetonitrile in the vicinal region of a planar AgX fiber contain linear dipole–dipole linked oligomers as shown by 1) comparison of infrared band intensity ratios in the gaseous and condensed phases and 2) remarkable plots of absorbance (C? N stretch) versus time during evaporation from an AgX planar fiber element. The plots (CH₃CN 2252 cm^?1, CD₃CN 2262 cm^?1) reveal the presence of octamers, hexamers, tetramers, and dimers along with some heptamer, trimer, and monomer structures. A novel isotope effect arises from the somewhat smaller size of the CD₃CN resulting in an increase in the CN band intensity. The organized oligomers may be termed pseudocrystals and are the main components responsible for absorption intensity in the infrared spectrum of acetonitrile, on the AgX planar fiber or in an IR cell.     

Synthesis of thiadiazabicyclane and bis-1,3,5-dithiazinane by cyclothiomethylation of aliphatic diamines with CH2O and H2S

Cyclocondensation of aliphatic diamines with CH₂O and H₂S (1:3:2 ratio, 0 °C) was carried out to give thiadiazabicyclanes and dithiadiazabicyclanes (1:6:4 ratio), which were previously difficult to synthesize. Symmetric α,ω-bis-1,3,5-dithiazinanes were synthesized at 80 °C by this reaction. The stereochemistry of thiadiazabicyclanes was assigned by ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy and by theoretical DFT calculations, and of bis-dithiazinanes by X-ray diffraction study in the solid state.
