We present a simple and compact design for an all-solid-state laser amplifier system which can output 9.43-kHz 630-ps, 3.5-W pulse trains under 20 W absorbed pumping power. The excellent matching between the repetition of its seed source and the fluorescence lifetime of the amplifying medium makes it quiet efficient for the four-pass amplifier to be pumped in cw mode without need of any synchronization device between the oscillator and the amplifier. The entire setup just covers an area of 55 × 25 cm^2. The output average power fluctuation is less than ±1.5% within 10min and 3% within 6h.  相似文献

A laser diode-stack end-pumped electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG slab oscillator-amplifier system with neardiffraction-limited output is demonstrated by a stable-unstable hybrid resonator. The average power of 100 W at a repetition rate of lOkHz with a pulse width 14.7ns and average power of 76.3 W at a repetition rate of 5kHz with a pulse width of 10.2ns are measured. At the repetition rate of 10 kHz and at an output power of 89 W, the beam quality factors M^2 in the unstable and stable directions are 1.3 and 1.5, respectively.  相似文献

Mg-doped GaN nanowires have been synthesized by ammoniating Ga2O3 films doped with Mg under flowing ammonia atmosphere at 850℃. The Mg-doped GaN nanowires are characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and photoluminescence (PL). The results demonstrate that the nanowires are single crystalline with hexagonal wurzite structure. The diameters of the nanowires are 20-30nto and the lengths are 50-100μm. The GaN nanowires show three emission bands with well-defined PL peak at 3.45 eV, 3.26 eV, 2.95 eV, respectively. The large distinct blueshift of the bandgap emission can be attributed to the Burstein-Moss effect. The peak at 3.26 eV represents the transition from the conduction-band edge to the acceptor level AM (acceptor Mg). The growth mechanism of crystalline GaN nanowires is discussed briefly.  相似文献

We report an efficient pumping scheme which involves a direct excitation of the upper lasing level of a four-level laser in a Nd-doped Ca3(NbGa)2-xGa3O12 (Nd:CNGG) by using a tunable Ti:sapphire, 700-920nm, cw pump source. The slope efficiency is improved from 10.5% of the traditional band pumping at 808nm to 21.8% of the direct pumping at 882nm. The influence of pumping wavelength on lasing is discussed. We present a scheme of double pumping for lasing.  相似文献

Fractional derivative can be defined as a fractional power of derivative. The commutator (i/?)[H,⋅], which is used in the Heisenberg equation, is a derivation on a set of observables. A derivation is a map that satisfies the Leibnitz rule. In this Letter, we consider a fractional derivative on a set of quantum observables as a fractional power of the commutator (i/?)[H,⋅]. As a result, we obtain a fractional generalization of the Heisenberg equation. The fractional Heisenberg equation is exactly solved for the Hamiltonians of free particle and harmonic oscillator. The suggested Heisenberg equation generalize a notion of quantum Hamiltonian systems to describe quantum dissipative processes.  相似文献

We report on the optical planar waveguide formation and modal characterization in Nd:LuVO4 crystals by triple-energy O3+-ion implantation at energies of 2.4, 3.0, and 3.6 MeV and doses of 1.4, 1.4, and 3.1×1014 ions/cm2, respectively. The prism-coupling method is used to investigate the dark-mode property at a wavelength of 633 nm. The refractive index profiles of the waveguide are reconstructed by the reflectivity calculation method (RCM). The modal analysis shows that the fields of TE modes are well restricted in the guiding region, which indicates the formation of non-leaky waveguide in the crystal.  相似文献

In this article, the 1.5 μm emission spectra corresponding to the 4I13/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ in tellurite glass are studied within the temperature from 8 to 300 K. The emission spectra of Er3+: 4I13/24I15/2 transition are also analyzed using a peak-fit routine, and an equivalent four-level system is proposed to estimate the stark splitting for the 4I15/2 and 4I13/2 levels of Er3+ in the tellurite glass. The results indicate that the 4I13/24I15/2 emission of Er3+ can exhibit a considerable broadening due to a significant enhance the peak a′, and b′ change, respectively, and the peaks of which are located at about 1507 and 1556 nm. A detailed study of temperature-dependent 1.5 μm emission spectra involving the change of the corresponding sub-bands shows that as the temperature decreases from 300 to 8 K, its line-shape becomes sharper and more intense (the full-width at half-maximum decreases from 59 to 38 nm). Temperature-dependent fluorescence intensities and the experimentally determined lifetimes are investigated; the results show that a decrease behavior of fluorescence intensities and lifetimes are observed for temperature from 8 to 300 K.  相似文献

In this paper we describe fabrication and characterization of rare-earth-doped active tellurite glasses to be used as active laser media for fiber lasers emitting in the 2 μm region. The base composition is (mol%): 75TeO2-20ZnO-5Na2O with different concentrations of Tm3+, Yb3+ and Ho3+ as dopants or co-dopants. Optical properties of doped glasses were studied and pumping at 800 nm and at 980 nm were tested in order to compare the efficiency of two pumping mechanisms. Optical characterization carried out on glasses containing only Tm3+ ions indicated the optimum concentration of Tm2O3 in terms of emission efficiency as 1 wt%. The addition of 5 wt% of Yb2O3 to Tm3+-doped glasses led to the best results in terms of intensity of fluorescence emission and of lifetime values. Yb and Ho co-doped Tm-tellurite glass was measured in emission.  相似文献

A new disordered garnet single crystal, calcium lithium tantalum gallium garnet (CLTGG) was grown by the Czochralski method. The lattice parameter of the crystal has been determined to be a=12.508±0.001 Å by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). The melting point of CLTGG was measured to be 1548 °C. The crystal possesses a wide transmission range from the ultraviolet to infrared, which is advantageous for applications as a laser host material. The refractive indices were also measured by the V-prism method.  相似文献

Laser dyes such as pyrromethene 567 (PM567), perylene red (P-red) and coumarin 540A (C540A) were doped into zirconia-organically modified silicate (ORMOSIL) materials prepared by low temperature sol-gel technique. Narrow line-width distributed feedback (DFB) laser actions were induced in the PM567 and/or P-red doped sol-gel planar waveguide. Tuning of the output wavelength was achieved by varying the period of the gain modulation generated by a nanosecond Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm. Compared with those of PM567 and P-red solely doped thin films, tuning range of C540A, PM567 and P-red co-doped sol-gel planar waveguide was greatly extended, from 564.5 nm to 635.1 nm.  相似文献
