η-Invariant and Flat Vector Bundles

Abstract We present an alternate definition of the mod Z component of the Atiyah-Patodi-Singer η invariant associated to (not necessary unitary) flat vector bundles, which identifies explicitly its real and imaginary parts. This is done by combining a deformation of flat connections introduced in a previous paper with the analytic continuation procedure appearing in the original article of Atiyah, Patodi and Singer. * Project supported by the Cheung-Kong Scholarship of the Ministry of Education of China and the 973 Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. 浅水中污染物扩散的自适应有限元分析法

介绍浅水中污染物扩散分析中的有限元法.分析包括两个部分:1)流场速度、水面高度的计算;2)根据扩散模型计算污染物浓度场.联合使用了自适应网格技术以期提高解的精度,同时减少计算时间和计算机内存的消耗.通过几个有已知解的实例验证了有限元公式和计算机程序.最后,使用这种联合方法分析泰国Chao Phraya河附近海湾中的污染物扩散.

Covariant Perturbation Theory of Non—Abelian Kinetic Theory

A “double perturbation” theory is presented in the framework of the kinetic theory of quark-gluon plasma.A solvable set of equations from the double perturbation are derived and proven to be gauge invariant.The Landau damping rate for the plasmon at zero momentum is shown to be a convergent series in correlators.     

Bound States of the S-Wave Equation with Equal Scalar and Vector Standard Eckart Potential

A supersymmetric technique for the bound-state solutions of the s-wave Klein-Gordon equation with equal scalar and vector standard Eckart-type potential is proposed. Its exact solutions are obtained. Possible generalization of our approach is outlined.
