The use of polymers reinforced with fiberglass is becoming more and more common in the switches for household industries. These compounds perform a good tension resistance to the impact and the humidity absorption being used at the present time and also are in the automobile industry in parts underneath the hood, especially in the radiator frames. The aim of this work is to study the effect of ionizing radiation on the properties of polyamide 6 with fiberglass reinforcement and undergone to different irradiation doses. Samples were prepared and irradiated on JOB 188 accelerator with an electron beam energy of 1.5 MeV in air with different doses and a dose rate of 27.99 kGy/h. Afterward, the properties of the non-irradiated and irradiated polyamide 6 with fiberglass reinforcement were evaluated.  相似文献

We give an algorithm for the following problem: given a graph G=(V,E) with edge-weights and a nonnegative integer k, find a minimum cost set of edges that contains k disjoint spanning trees. This also solves the following reinforcement problem: given a network, a number k and a set of candidate edges, each of them with an associated cost, find a minimum cost set of candidate edges to be added to the network so it contains k disjoint spanning trees. The number k is seen as a measure of the invulnerability of a network. Our algorithm has the same asymptotic complexity as |V| applications of the minimum cut algorithm of Goldberg & Tarjan. Tensile Characterization of FRP Rods for Reinforced Concrete Structures   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The application of FRP rods as an internal or external reinforcement in new or damaged concrete structures is based on the development of design equations that take into account the mechanical properties of FRP material systems.The measurement of mechanical characteristics of FRP requires a special anchoring and protocol, since it is well known that these characteristics depend on the direction and content of fibers. In this study, an effective tensile test method is described for the mechanical characterization of FRP rods. Twelve types of glass and carbon FRP specimens with different sizes and surface characteristics were tested to validate the procedure proposed. In all, 79 tensile tests were performed, and the results obtained are discussed in this paper. Recommendations are given for specimen preparation and test setup in order to facilitate the further investigation and standardization of the FRP rods used in civil engineering.  相似文献

To obtain a hydrogel‐like elastic membrane, we prepared semi‐interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) by the radical polymerization of methacrylates such as 2‐methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC), 2‐hydroxyethylmethacrylate, and triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate diffused into segmented polyurethane (SPU) membranes swollen with a monomer mixture. The values of Young's modulus for the hydrated semi‐IPN membranes were less than that for an SPU membrane because of higher hydration, but they were much higher than that for a hydrated MPC polymer gel (non‐SPU). According to a thermal analysis, the MPC polymer influenced the segment association of SPU. The diffusion coefficient of 8‐anilino‐1‐naphthalenesulfonic acid sodium salt from the semi‐IPN membrane could be controlled with different MPC unit concentrations in the membrane, and it was about 7 × 102 times higher than that of the SPU membrane. Fibroblast cell adhesion on the semi‐IPN membrane was effectively reduced by the MPC units. We concluded that semi‐IPNs composed of the MPC polymer and SPU may be novel polymer materials possessing attractive mechanical, diffusive‐release, and nonbiofouling properties. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Optimization theory provides a framework for determining the best decisions or actions with respect to some mathematical model of a process. This paper focuses on learning to act in a near-optimal manner through reinforcement learning for problems that either have no model or the model is too complex. One approach to solving this class of problems is via approximate dynamic programming. The application of these methods are established primarily for the case of discrete state and action spaces. In this paper we develop efficient methods of learning which act in complex systems with continuous state and action spaces. Monte-Carlo approaches are employed to estimate function values in an iterative, incremental procedure. Derivative-free line search methods are used to obtain a near-optimal action in the continuous action space for a discrete subset of the state space. This near-optimal control policy is then extended to the entire continuous state space via a fuzzy additive model. To compensate for approximation errors, a modified procedure for perturbing the generated control policy is developed. Convergence results under moderate assumptions and stopping criteria are established.  相似文献

This article seeks to ascertain whether the strategy‐learning model of Hanaki, Sethi, Erev, and Peterhansl (2003) better accounts for observed behavior than do the various action‐learning models. It does so by measuring the goodness‐of‐fit of the models' predictions against published experimental results for such games as Coordination, Prisoner's Dilemma, and Chicken. The fit is measured via the mean squared deviation (MSD) between the observed behavior and the one predicted by the model. The results show that, for Chicken, the strategy‐learning model fits the observed data much better than do the action‐learning models. The best action‐learning model, on the other hand, fits the observed data well in Coordination. Overall, the strength of the strategy‐learning model is best shown in games where alternations between the two stage‐game Nash equilibria are often observed in the laboratory experiments. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 当前人们选择旧工业厂房结构加固方案效率低下,且所考虑的因素较为片面,为了全面、高效地解决这一问题,通过综合考虑安全性、经济性、时间性、可行性和适用性等因素,以加固效果显著的工程案例为标准,以全面的18个参数为评价指标,构建了一种基于蛛网面积相似和形状相似的结构加固方案优选模型。该模型中首先运用熵权法确定18个指标权重,并将参数值归一化处理,随后运用Python计算蛛网结构相似度,检索出与目标范例最为相似的源范例。最后以结构加固效果显著的工程为例,验证了该模型能有效减少主观误差,具有较强的实用性,并以此模型优选出了某轧钢厂房结构加固方案。  相似文献

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) was melt blended with linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and subsequently compounded with glass fibers (GF) as reinforcements at percentages ranging from 15 to 45 wt% of LLDPE and 5 to 30 wt% of GF. Thermal, morphological, and mechanical properties of the prepared composites were investigated. It was found that compounding PET/LLDPE blends with GF would be beneficial in producing composites that are thermally stable with good mechanical properties. For example, the impact strength of the composites containing 85/15 wt% (PET/LLDPE) at relatively high loading of GF, ie, from 15 to 30 wt%, was higher than that of the GF‐reinforced neat PET. When increasing the percentage of LLDPE in the composites, the impact strength increased with increasing GF content, and this was also better than that of GF‐reinforced PET whose impact strength drastically decreased upon increasing the GF%. The improvement in mechanical properties of the composite, we suggest, should be correlated with the morphologies of the composites where the visualized interface adhesion tended to be better at higher loadings of both LLDPE and GF.  相似文献

A petroleum‐based polymer, isotactic polypropylene (iPP), and a biodegradable polymer, poly(lactic acid) (PLA), were compounded and molded into parts through the micro‐injection technique. A systematic structural investigation indicated that the microfibrillation of PLA minor phase depended on the operation parameter of inter‐mixer, ie, rotor speed. The higher rotor speed, the lower viscosity ratio of the PLA/iPP pair was favorable for microfibrillation occurred during micro‐injection process. The PLA microfibrils with high aspect ratio was successfully introduced into iPP matrix, and the tensile strength and strain at break of iPP/PLA blends were simultaneously improved. This study suggests a promising method for designing special microfibrillar morphology in polymer blend by using conventional melt processing techniques.  相似文献

Although the effects of filler nanoparticles size and surface treatment on the glass transition temperature of the matrix phase have received well-deserved attention, nanofiller effects on other physical parameters associated with the glass transition have received less interest. To better understand how the incorporation of nanofillers affects the enthalpic relaxations associated with the glass transition, differential scanning calorimeter measurements were carried out on silica–polyvinyl acetate nanocomposites with respect to filler content, annealing temperature, and annealing period. As expected, longer annealing periods below the glass transition temperature resulted in an increase of the subsequent enthalpic relaxations. However, the presence of filler substantially reduces the enthalpic relaxation relative to that of the neat polymer at longer annealing periods only. The underlying enthalpic relaxations and the effects suppressed by the fillers are specific to the annealing temperature. These results suggest a significant alteration in the physical state of the matrix because of the presence of the filler particles. However, this does not imply the existence of a glassy layer or layers with a glass transition gradient near the filler surface. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
