Incomplete data models typically involve strong untestable assumptions about the missing data distribution. As inference may critically depend on them, the importance of sensitivity analysis is well recognized. Molenberghs, Kenward, and Goetghebeur proposed a formal frequentist approach to sensitivity analysis which distinguishes ignorance due to unintended incompleteness from imprecision due to finite sampling by design. They combine both sources of variation into uncertainty. This article develops estimation tools for ignorance and uncertainty concerning regression coefficients in a complete data model when some of the intended outcome values are missing. Exhaustive enumeration of all possible imputations for the missing data requires enormous computational resources. In contrast, when the boundary of the occupied region is of greatest interest, reasonable computational efficiency may be achieved via the imputation towards directional extremes (IDE) algorithm. This is a special imputation method designed to mark the boundary of the region by maximizing the direction of change of the complete data estimator caused by perturbations to the imputed outcomes. For multi-dimensional parameters, a dimension reduction approach is considered. Additional insights are obtained by considering structures within the region, and by introducing external knowledge to narrow the boundary to useful proportions. Special properties hold for the generalized linear model. Examples from a Kenyan HIV study will illustrate the points. 相似文献

Sensitivity analysis of linear vibration system is of wide interest. In this paper, sensitivity analysis based on non-defective system and defective system is summarized in all cases. Specially, for the defective systems, a fast method for the perturbation problem of state vectors is constructed in terms of the theories of generalized eigenvectors and adjoint matrices. By this method, the state vector derivatives can be expressed by a linear combination of generalized eigenvectors. The expansion coefficients can be obtained without solving large-scale equations based on eigensolutions of original system. In this paper we address the problem of the infeasibility of systems defined by reverse convex inequality constraints, where some or all of the variables are integer. In particular, we provide a polynomial algorithm that identifies a set of all constraints critical to feasibility (CF), that is constraints that may affect a feasibility status of the system after some perturbation of the right-hand sides. Furthermore, we will investigate properties of the irreducible infeasible sets and infeasibility sets, showing in particular that every irreducible infeasible set as well as infeasibility sets in the considered system, are subsets of the set CF of constraints critical to feasibility. 相似文献

Comparison of the performance of three ion mobility spectrometers for measurement of biogenic amines
The performance of three different types of ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) devices: GDA2 with a radioactive ion source (Airsense, Germany), UV-IMS with a photo-ionization source (G.A.S. Germany) and VG-Test with a corona discharge source (3QBD, Israel) was studied. The gas-phase ion chemistry in the IMS devices affected the species formed and their measured reduced mobility values. The sensitivity and limit of detection for trimethylamine (TMA), putrescine and cadaverine were compared by continuous monitoring of a stream of air with a given concentration of the analyte and by measurement of headspace vapors of TMA in a sealed vial. Preprocessing of the mobility spectra and the effectiveness of multivariate curve resolution techniques (MCR-LASSO) improved the accuracy of the measurements by correcting baseline effects and adjusting for variations in drift time as well as enhancing the signal to noise ratio and deconvolution of the complex data matrix to their pure components. The limit of detection for measurement of the biogenic amines by the three IMS devices was between 0.1 and 1.2 ppm (for TMA with the VG-Test and GDA, respectively) and between 0.2 and 0.7 ppm for putrescine and cadaverine with all three devices. Considering the uncertainty in the LOD determination there is almost no statistically significant difference between the three devices although they differ in their operating temperature, ionization method, drift tube design and dopant chemistry. This finding may have general implications on the achievable performance of classic IMS devices. 相似文献

This study assessed the diagnostic test accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the detection of partial- and full-thickness rotator cuff tears in the adult population. A systematic review was conducted of the following electronic databases: Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Medline, Embase, CINAHL, AMED, ISI Web of Science, Current Controlled Trials, National Technical Information Service, the National Institute for Health Research Portfolio, the UK National Research Register Archive and WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform database and reference lists of articles. All studies assessing the sensitivity and/or specificity of MRI for adult patients with suspected rotator cuff tear where surgical procedures were the reference standard were included in the study. A meta-analysis was performed to calculate pooled sensitivity, specificity, likelihood and diagnostic odds ratio values, and summary receiver operating characteristic plots were constructed. Forty-four studies were included. These included 2751 shoulders in 2710 patients. For partial-thickness rotator cuff tears, the pooled sensitivity and specificity values were 0.80 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.79-0.84] and 0.95 (95% CI: 0.94-0.97), respectively. For full-thickness tears, the sensitivity and specificity values were 0.91 (95% CI: 0.86-0.94) and 0.97 (95% CI: 0.96-0.98), respectively. While there was no substantial difference in diagnostic test accuracy between MRIs reviewed by general radiologists and those reviewed by musculoskeletal radiologists, higher-field-strength (3.0 T) MRI systems provided the greatest diagnostic test accuracy. 相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulation was applied to study the structure and energy properties of β-HMX (β-cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine) crystal and its composite PBXs (polymer-bonded explosives) with F2311 as a polymer binder under different temperatures and F2311 concentrations. The interface interaction energy of HMX and F2311, the interaction energy EN–N between N atoms in N–NO2 trigger bond in HMX molecules, and the cohesive energy density (CED) are presented and analyzed. A meaningful finding is that there exists correlation between EN–N and the sensitivity of β-HMX and its composites, i.e. the less the EN–N is, the larger the sensitivity is. Additionally, molecular interactions are inherently disclosed by using pair correlation function (PCF) to analyze the interfacial structure between (1 0 0)HMX crystal surface and F2311 molecular chain. 相似文献

图像清晰度评价是基于数字图像的被动式自动调焦技术的基本问题之一.传统Brenner图像清晰度评价算法具有运算速度快特点,但是其评价准确性取决于阈值选取,且其灵敏度较低.针对上述问题,本文提出了一种改进算法.改进算法采用高通和带通两个滤波器对图像进行计算,克服阈值对传统Brenner算法评价结果的影响.为了衡量改进算法的性能,将其与传统的Brenner算法比较,并对评价算法的单峰性、无偏性、灵敏度、计算量等主要衡量标准逐一分析.实验结果表明:与传统的Brenner评价算法相比,改进算法在满足评价算法单峰性和无偏性前提下,提高了灵敏度,降低了计算次数. 相似文献
