POROSITY CALCULATION OFMIXTURES OF FIBROUS PARTICLES

The initial forming of fiber blend to high green density, i.e. the packing of fibrous particles, is important to the reinforcement of composite materials. It is very useful to develop a general predictive method for the optimum selection of particle mixtures for the property control of ceramic or composite products. This paper presents such a mathematical model developed on the basis of the similarity analysis between the spherical and non-spherical particle packings and assesses its applicability to the packing of fibrous particles with discrete and/or continuous length distributions. The results indicate that the model can predict this packing system well and hence provide an effective way to solve various packing problems in the composite materials processing.     

Fabrication of Long-Period Fibre Gratings Using 800 nm Femtosecond Laser Pulses

Long-period fibre gratings inside standard single-mode optical communication fibres are successfully fabricated with infrared femtosecond laser pulses. The refractive index perturbations are well confined within the fibre core by choosing the proper laser focusing parameters and translation speed of the fibre during the direct laser writing process. With the self-focusing effect considered and at a constant average irradiation dose of 1.62 × 10^3 J/（cm^2μm）, the threshold intensity for fabricating long-period gratings with infrared femtosecond laser pulses is determined to be 5.13 × 10^13 W/cm2.     

新疆红景天红色素的提取及理化性质的研究

对用索氏提取法和乙醇浸取法提取红景天红色素进行了比较，并探讨浸取的浓度，浸取温度等因素，指出了最佳生产工艺条件，从红景天中提取的天红色素是一种安全无毒的食用色素，本文还研究了几种食品添加剂对红景天红色素稳定性的影响，并对色素的耐氧化性进行了探讨，旨在为红景天红色素的开发利用提供有实用价值的信息。     

改性壳聚精膜用于醇水混合液分离的研究──Ⅲ．超细粉末填充壳聚精膜

首次制备了用Ｓｉ３Ｎ４，ＳｉＯ２，ＴｉＨ４超细粉末填充的改性壳聚精膜，并将其用于乙醇／水混合液的分离中。实验表明壳聚糖膜经超细粉末填充后强度增大，溶胀度减小。用于乙醇／水混合液渗透蒸发分离时，分离因子和渗透通量都有提高，并在填充量为１６．７％附近出现极大值。随着料液中乙醇含量的增大，渗透通量减小，分离因子增大；随着料液温度的升高渗透通量显著增大，分离因子则稍有下降。并简单讨论了超细粉末在乙醇／水混合液分离中的作用。     

Aligned ZnO Nanofibre Array Prepared by Vapour Transport in Air

An aligned zinc oxide nanofibre array has been fabricated by heating the mixture of ZnO, Ga2Oa, and graphite powders in atmosphere. The ZnO nanofibre showed a uniform size of about 150nm in diameter and 50μm in length. The nanofibres grew predominantly along one direction. Both x-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman shift spectra show that the product is composed of ZnO with the typical hexagonal structure. The good crystallinity of these ZnO nanofibres has been verified by photoluminescence spectra with strong UV emission at 287nm and weak green band emission observed at room temperature. The component of the product was analysed by XRD,Raman shift spectrum, x-ray energy dispersion (EDX) and x-ray photoelectronic energy spectroscopy (XPS). The growth process and the characteristics can be interpreted by vapour-liquid-solid mechanism.     

乙醇增敏光泽精－H_2O_2－Pb（Ⅱ）化学发光体系的研究及应用

本文研究了Ｈ＿２Ｏ＿２氧化光泽精发光反应及乙醇的敏化作用，发现加入乙醇可使铅催化Ｈ＿２Ｏ＿２，氧化光泽精的发光强度有较大幅度的增强；铅量在３×１０￣（－７）～８×１０￣（－５）ｇ／ｍＬ。范围内与发光强度成正比．方法检出限为０．１０μｇ／ｍＬ；对含４μｇ／ｍＬＰｂ（Ⅱ）１１次重复测定，其ＲＳＤ为２．３％．对３２种常见的阴阳离子进行了干扰实验，表明方法具有较好的选择性。本法应用于水样及沉积物标样中痕量铅的测定，结果良好。     

New BCN Fibres for Strong Ultraviolet and Visible Light Luminescence

Novel B3CN3 fibres with a special structure have been synthesized by a pyrolysis process. High-resolution TEM analysis shows that the as-prepared B3CN3 fibres can be described as a nanofibre-interweaved network. Strong photoluminescence at 370 nm and 700 nm from the as-prepared B3 CN3 fibres are observed at room temperature, which suggests that B3 CN3 is a promising ultraviolet- and visible-light-emitting material.     

A Powerful Simple Shooting Method for Designing Multi-Pumped Fibre Raman Amplifiers

A simple shooting method dedicated to the design of multipump discrete Raman fibre amplifiers (RFAs) ispro posed and discussed in detail. A novel scheme to provide a good initial guess for backward lightwaves is also proposed to improve the efficiency and robustness of the method. Using the proposed method, a discrete RFA with four backward pumps and 93 signal channels is simulated for the maximum number of interaction waves considered simultaneously in the RFA design reported previously; to our best knowledge. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed method is fast and robust. It can be used in the design of RFAs with various configurations including co-, counter- and bi-directJonal-pump schemes to provide an actual modelling.     

Self-Mixing Interference in Dual-Polarization Microchip Nd：YAG Lasers

The self-mixing interference in dual-polarization microchip Nd: YA G lasers is demonstrated. Under optical feedback, the orthogonal polarization components of the laser would undergo antiphase intensity modulations; at high feedback level, the polarization switching appears. We also observe that the laser self-mixing sensitivity changes periodically with the frequency difference of orthogonal polarizations. An initial theoretical model is put out and agrees well with the experiments. The results are useful for self-mixing sensitivity enhancement and offer a new way of absolute distance measurement.
