Summary The detachment of a rubber matrix from a rigid inclusion under monotonic loading and at subsequent relaxation is investigated within two dimensional analysis. Examined are stress–strain experimental data acquired with the help of a test bed equipped with a digital image-acquisition device. The influence of the interfacial bonding strength and the particle size on the detachment process is analyzed. The influence of the interfacial bonding strength is visible in the stress–strain diagram of loading and in the recorded images. The relaxation test reveals no influence of the bonding strength on the stress-relaxation. However, the image analysis indicates a secondary transient creep of the contour of detachment, which depends on the interfacial bonding. 相似文献

Data obtained in investigating the creep of expanded polystyrene in compression are discussed. An analysis of the results
of creep tests 65–608 days long showed that the creep can be predicted for 50 years based on experiments of less duration
than the 605 days indicated in EN 13163. For this purpose, it is suggested to employ a 95-fold extrapolation in time if the
creep curves are described by a power function (as recommended by EN 13163) or a 50-fold extrapolation if the exponential
equation proposed in the present paper is used.

The aim of this work was to compare the gamma radiation induced effects on samples of an ethylene-propylene copolymer antioxidant free with samples loaded with an antioxidant characterised by the presence of an -NH functional group. The employed techniques were Electron Spin Resonance spectroscopy (ESR) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Stable radicals R---NO° due to the interaction of free radicals produced in the irradiated polymer with the antioxidant have been observed by ESR at room temperature. The time evolution of the ESR signals following the irradiation was examined at different doses. The amount of antioxidant not involved in the oxidation reactions has been determined using HPLC. 相似文献

超低温快速冷冻固定以极高的冷冻速率(10000K/s)对生物组织进行物理固定,可使生物组织结构、组织内可溶性离子及游离性物质得到保存,使被固定后的生物组织保持最接近于原自然状态,这种样品制备方法大大优于化学制备法,因而在X-射线微分析及免疫细胞化学中得到广泛应用。生物样品超低温快速冷冻后,利用冷冻置换法,在低温下将生物组织内的结晶水缓慢置换出来,而后常规包埋切片,可获得理想的组织结构及组织内待分析成分。本文应用超低温快速冷冻固定技术及冷冻置换法对大鼠肾皮质部的快速冷冻固定及损伤进行探讨。 相似文献

damage which individually and collectively give rise to stress concentrations, and eventually crack development. The progressive
damage phenomena, evinced by the surface imaging and optical sectioning techniques through utilizing confocal laser scanning
microscopy, are understood to be consequences of the cumulative material micromechanical degradation and subsequent microstructural

Mercury electrodes modified with supercoiled (sc) DNA have been used as highly sensitive tools for the detection of DNA strand breaks or as sensors for DNA cleaving substances. In this paper we show that silver solid amalgam electrode (AgSAE), in connection with alternating current voltammetry, provides similar information about DNA damage as the hanging mercury drop electrode. The AgSAE can be used for the detection of enzymatic or chemical DNA cleavage in solution or at the electrode surface. The glass transition temperature (Tg), measured by Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry (MDSC), is related to the flow characteristics of asphalt at low temperatures as is the rate of change of the creep stiffnessm. This study compared the glass transition temperature of different asphalts (neat, chemically modified, and crumb rubber modified asphalts) with the creep stiffness, the rate of change of creep stiffness, and the low specification temperature of the continuous PG grading of those asphalts.From the rheological data (BBR) and the thermal data (MDSC) for the virgin and the modified asphalts, the modified products had the same variations of values ofm, S, and Tg at lower temperatures as those of their corresponding virgin asphalts. A correlation between the Tg andm value was observed for both the modified and unmodified asphalts. Since DSC measurements for asphalt low temperature properties use less operator time, less sample, and have less measurement and operator error than rheological methods, Tg has promise to be considered as a fast and easy laboratory method to obtain the low temperature useful range of asphalts in pavements.The authors would like to acknowledge Susan P.
