Platinum is emitted to environment by automobile catalytic converters (ACCs), hospitals, noble metal refineries, and other industries. Due to abrasion of ACCs platinum leaves the cars with the exhaust fumes and can thus be found in urban and rural atmospheres. To study the exposure to this element its concentration in urine is determined. Urine represents an often used specimen for monitoring studies, as it plays an important role in the elimination of various substances from the body and in addition it can be collected easily. It is supposed that the Pt-intake depends on the physical activity of a person, i.e. the amount of air inhaled and food consumed. Therefore subjects without and with one or two hip-endoprostheses were selected for this monitoring study. The medians obtained for the Pt-concentration of the urine-samples of these three groups were 3.7 µg/g, 3.3 µg/g and 1.9 µg/g for persons with no, one and two prostheses, respectively. Applying a Mann-Whitney-U-test on these data leads to a p-value of 0.051 comparing the groups with n = 0 and n = 2, and a p-value of 0.052 for n = 1 and n = 2 (n = number of prostheses).  相似文献

矩匹配方法是用来求解非线性风险度(Value at Risk,简称:VaR)的一种普遍性方法,它是先假定样本经验分布服从已知分布族,然后运用矩匹配估计方法估计相应的参数,得到资产回报样本的密度函数,再计算风险度VaR;本采用的Johnson分布族是矩匹配方法的直接应用,并且计算出来的结果与局部Monte.Carlo结果进行了比较。并通过实证分析认为这种方法是一种良好的计算非线性VaR方法。  相似文献

This paper is a review of recent developments of a research line proposed on the turn of the decades, 1980s to 1990s. The main results concern basic qualitative properties of nonlinear models of population biology, such as controllability and observability. The methods applied are different for the density-dependent models of population ecology and for the frequency-dependent models of population genetics and evolutionary theory. While in the first case the classical theorems of nonlinear systems theory can be used, in the second one an extension of classical results to systems with invariant manifold is necessary. A deterministic predator-prey model describing populations as collections of autonomous individuals was used to investigate population dynamics as an emergent property of individual behaviors and actions in a simulated environment. The model's behavior was clearly chaotic for both the two species interaction and for the prey population alone. Furthermore, estimated parameters from a simple difference equation model fitted to the single-species simulation were nowhere near the chaotic region for the equation. Findings indicate that chaos may very well be characteristic of biological populations despite the findings of several empirical studies in the past, and that chaotic models can be constructed from direct observation of, and experimentation with, biological populations by focusing on individuals and their behaviors, rather than on population parameters.  相似文献

通过聚并促进细颗粒(PM2.5)特别是亚微米颗粒(PM1.0)团聚长大或被大颗粒捕集,是提高其脱除效率的有效方法之一。本文采用分区法对燃煤电厂尾部烟气中飞灰的聚并进行了群平衡模拟研究。利用圆柱阵列实现的湍流聚并装置,圆柱横向间距为4倍直径时,纵向间距宜在圆柱直径的15~30倍之间,在工程上较为可行的条件下,对于PM1.0可达到55%或更高的聚并效率。粗颗粒的存在对于细颗粒聚并具有明显的促进作用,聚并停留时间越短,该作用相对越显著。  相似文献

A mechanical separation process in a de-oiling hydrocyclone is described in which disperse oil droplets are separated from a continuous water phase. This separation process is influenced by droplet breakage and coalescence. Based on experimental data and simulation results in a stirred tank, a modified breakage model, which can be applied to droplet breakage in the de-oiling hydrocyclone, is developed. Then, a simulation model is developed coupling the numerical solution of the flow field in the hydrocyclone based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with population balances. The homogenous discrete method and the inhomogeneous discrete method are applied for solving the population balance model (PBM). The investigations show that the numerical results obtained by the simulation model coupled with the modified PBM using the inhomogeneous discrete method are in good accordance with experimental data under a high flow rate. According to this simulation model, the effect of three different inlet designs on the separation efficiency of the de-oiling hydrocyclone has been discussed. The results indicate that the separation efficiency of the de-oiling hydrocyclone can be improved with an appropriate inlet design.  相似文献
