Hydrolytic Ring Opening Reactions of Pyromellitic Dianhydride for Divalent Transition Metal Carboxylate Complexes

The hydrolytic ring opening reactions of pyromellitic dianhydride is an effective method to prepare transition metal carboxylate complexes. In this paper, two dinuclear complexes [Ni₂(2,2′‐bipy)₂(btec)(H₂O)₆] · 2H₂O ( 1 ) and [Cd₂ (phen)₄(H₂O)₂(H₂btec)] · H₂btec · 2H₂O ( 2 ) (H₄btec = 1,2,4,5‐benzenetetracarboxylic acid, phen = 1,10‐phenanthroline, and 2,2′‐bipy = 2,2′‐bipyridine) were synthesized by slow diffusion methods and their structures were determined byX‐ray structure analysis. In both structures metal atoms are in distorted octahedral environments and they are linked by bis‐monodentately coordinated 1,2,4,5‐benzentetracarboxylate ligands as bridging units. The crystalline compounds, which are insoluble in water as well as common organic solvents, have been characterized in the solid‐state by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, IR, and diffuse reflectance UV/Visspectroscopy. Moreover, the study of the physical properties of complex 2 demonstrates that it exhibits blue fluorescence emission in the solid state at room temperature.     

Open Chain Chiral Macrolide Building Blocks by Opening of Deoxygenated 1,6-Anhydrosugars with 1,3-Propanedithiol

Chiral building blocks for macrolides and related natural products are obtained from 1,6-anhydrosugars by conversion of the bicyclic acetals 2 or 12 into the open chain chiral 1,3-dithianes 6 and 13. Branched precursors can be obtained by opening of the ?erný epoxide 1 with the 1,3-dithiane anion to yield 7, followed by ring opening with 1,3-propanedithiol to the bis-1,3-dithiane 8.     

Associativity of the <Emphasis Type="Italic">∇</Emphasis>-operation on bands in rings

Given a multiplicative band of idempotents S in a ring R, for all e,f∈S the ∇-product e ∇ f=e+f+fe−efe−fef is an idempotent that lies roughly above e and f in R just as ef and fe lie roughly below e and f. In this paper we study ∇-bands in rings, that is, bands in rings that are closed under ∇, giving various criteria for ∇ to be associative, thus making the band a skew lattice. We also consider when a given band S in R generates a ∇-band.     

分次环的有限正规扩张

本文研究了群分次环的有限正规分次扩张问题．利用经典环论方法，得到一个群分次环与其有限正规分次扩张环之间关于分次Jacobson根和分次素根的关系，同时，给出了分次情形的Cutting down定理和Lying over定理．     

Modular Total Synthesis of (–)‐Palmyrolide A and (+)‐(5S,7S)‐Palmyrolide A via Ring‐Closing Metathesis and Alkene Isomerization†

A pentamodule assembly approach has been established for total synthesis of the naturally occurring (–)‐palmyrolide A and (+)‐5,7‐epi‐palmyrolide A. By using the racemic tert‐butyl carbinol‐containing alkyl iodide, the two diastereoisomeric macrolides could be obtained from the same sequence of reactions, demonstrating the flexibility of the multimodule assembly strategy for diverted total synthesis.     

A concise route to the C2-symmetric tricyclic skeleton of ryanodine

Ryanodine is a potent calcium channel modulator. In this Letter, we report the 10-step synthesis of the highly substituted tricyclic ring system of ryanodine. Diels-Alder reaction via dearomatization of 2,5-dimethylbenzene-1,4-diol and subsequent SmI₂-mediated reductive coupling of eight-membered 1,5-diketone efficiently introduced the four consecutive fully substituted carbons of the tricyclo[3.3.2.0^2,6]decane system.     

Synthesis of 2,6-disubstituted pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]oxazines

A new preparative method for pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]oxazines from 6-substituted 3-nitro-2-pyridones is demonstrated. This method consists of two steps: O-alkylation and reductive cyclization. In the former step, the bulkiness of both starting nitropyridones and C2 reagents is found to be essential for avoiding N-alkylation, which undergoes O-alkylation efficiently. The subsequent reductive cyclization affords pyridoxazines with carbon substituents at both the 2- and the 6-positions that have not been available.     

An expedient one-pot synthesis of novel 10-substituted 9-aminophenanthrenes

An efficient synthesis of 9,10-disubstituted phenanthrenes is described in this Letter. These novel useful building blocks were obtained in a one-pot reaction including Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling followed by a Dieckmann-Thorpe ring closure under microwave irradiation. The selection of the appropriate reagents and the optimal reaction conditions to isolate the intermediate biphenyl compound or the final substituted phenanthrenes in high yields will be discussed in this Letter.

给出了环上模糊理想幂格的概念,得到相关性质。进而由环上模糊理想强截集诱导出格,讨论了它不是分配格,但为模格。同时,将环上升为主理想环,得到了模糊理想乘积的强截集等于强截集的乘积,且都为环的理想。最后,讨论了Boolean环的模糊子集为模糊理想与其伴随构成交半格的关系。     

Influence of nonlinear absorption effects on optical bistability in semiconductor ring resonators

We present a theoretical investigation of optical bistability in a nonlinear semiconductor ring resonator, by taking into account the two-photon absorption and the free-carrier absorption. By solving the intensity equation within the ring resonator, a parametric formulation is obtained for describing the bistability relation between the input and the output intensities. Numerical results show that the nonlinear absorption effects can affect the critical points and domain of the optical bistability.
