Numerical simulation of soft palate movement and airflow in human upper airway by fluid-structure interaction method

In this paper, the authors present airflow field characteristics of human upper airway and soft palate movement attitude during breathing. On the basis of the data taken from the spiral computerized tomography images of a healthy person and a patient with Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAHS), three-dimensional models of upper airway cavity and soft palate are reconstructed by the method of surface rendering. Numerical simulation is performed for airflow in the upper airway and displacement of soft palate by fluid-structure interaction analysis. The reconstructed three-dimensional models precisely preserve the original configuration of upper airways and soft palate. The results of the pressure and velocity distributions in the airflow field are quantitatively determined, and the displacement of soft palate is presented. Pressure gradients of airway are lower for the healthy person and the airflow distribution is quite uniform in the case of free breathing. However, the OSAHS patient remarkably escalates both the pressure and velocity in the upper airway, and causes higher displacement of the soft palate. The present study is useful in revealing pathogenesis and quantitative mutual relationship between configuration and function of the upper airway as well as in diagnosing diseases related to anatomical structure and function of the upper airway. BOUNDEDNESS OF FRACTIONAL INTEGRALS IN HARDY SPACES WITH NON-DOUBLING MEASURE - In Memory of Professor Sun Yongsheng

Let μ be a Borel measure on Rd which may be non doubling. The only condition that μ must satisfy is μ(Q) ≤ col(Q)n for any cube Q () Rd with sides parallel to the coordinate axes and for some fixed n with 0 ＜ n ≤ d. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a boundedness property of fractional integrals in Hardy spaces H1 (μ).     

STABLE SOLUTION OF TIME DOMAIN INTEGRAL EQUATION METHODS USING QUADRATIC B-SPLINE TEMPORAL BASIS FUNCTIONS

This paper is concerned with stable solutions of time domain integral equation （TDIE） methods for transient scattering problems with 3D conducting objects. We use the quadratic B-spline function as temporal basis functions, which permits both the induced currents and induced charges to be properly approximated in terms of completeness. Because the B-spline function has the least support width among all polynomial basis functions of the same order, the resulting system matrices seem to be the sparsest. The TDIE formula-tions using induced electric polarizations as unknown function are adopted and justified. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed approach is accurate and efficient, and no late-time instability is observed.     

关于开紧映射与Arhangel’skiǐ的问题

基于DEM的山地可照时间的空间分布

以山区高空间分辨率的DEM数据为主要数据源，在提取纬度、坡度、坡向等相应的地形要素栅格数据的基础上，利用GIS技术对山区可照时间的空间分布进行了模拟，实现了山区可照时间空间分布规律的可视化表达，分析了山区可照时间的空间分布特征，对于山区的农业、林业和生态环境等方面的研究具有重要意义．

在实自反Banach空间,用补偿方法研究单调和Fuzzy单调广义非线性变分不等式,得到了几个解的存在性定理.改进和推广了Browder,Pascali-Sburlan,Zhang等人的各种结果.

N-Widths and Average Widths of Besov Classes in Sobolev Spaces

In this paper, we consider the n-widths and average widths of Besov classes in the usual Sobolev spaces. The weak asymptotic results concerning the Kolmogorov n-widths, the linear n-widths, the Gel＇fand n-widths, in the Sobolev spaces on T^d, and the infinite-dimensional widths and the average widths in the Sobolev spaces on Ra are obtained, respectively.
