Hydrolysis of (CH3)3Sn+ in Various Salt Media

The hydrolysis of trimethyltin(IV) has been studied by potentiometry (H⁺ -glass electrode) and calorimetry in various salt media (NaNO₃, NaCl, KCl, Na₂SO₄, and NaNO₃—NaCl mixtures). The effect of ionic strength on the hydrolysis constants is accounted for by a simple Debye–Hückel type equation and by Pitzer equations. The results allow us to obtain H for hydrolysis and the temperature dependence of the Pitzer parameters. The resulting coefficients can be used to examine the speciation of (CH₃)₃Sn⁺ in multicomponent electrolyte solutions, such as natural waters, over a wide range of temperature and ionic strength.     

A Procedure for Transforming Impedance Spectra for the Determination of Mechanism of Electrochemical Reactions

Transformation of impedance spectra into relaxation time spectra (RTS) is used for determining contributions of individual processes of the oxygen electroreduction reaction (OER) to the polarization resistance of the electrochemical cell. The transformation technique involves the solution of the convolution equation found with the aid of a modified Van Cittert iteration algorithm checked on model impedance spectra. The technique, when used to analyze impedance spectra of electrochemical cells air|Pt|YSZ|YSZ + Pt|air, shows that the conversion of a globular structure of the YSZ + Pt cermet layer to a columnar one is accompanied by a change of peak amplitudes in RTS. The revealed RTS dynamics when heated to 750°C is compared with peculiarities of individual processes in OER.

2-Oxo-3,4-dihydropyrimido[4,5-d] pyrimidines as new reversible inhibitors of EGFR C797S (Cys797 to Ser797) mutant

Extensive structure-activity relationships (SARs) study of JND3229 was conducted to yield a series of new reversible 2-oxo-3,4-dihydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine privileged scaffold as EGFR^C797S inhibitors. One of the most potent compound 6i potently suppressed EGFR^{L858R/T790M/C797S} kinase with an IC₅₀ value of 3.1 nmol/L, and inhibited the proliferation of BaF3 cells harboring EGFR^{L858R/T790M/C797S} and EGFR^{19D/T790M/C797S} mutants with IC₅₀ values of 290 nmol/L and 316 nmol/L, respectively. Further, 6i dose-dependently induced suppression of the phosphorylation of EGFR^{L858R/T790M/C797S} and EGFR^{19D/T790M/C797S} in BaF3 cells. Compound 6i may serve as a promising lead compound for further drug discovery overcoming the acquired resistance of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.     

An investigation of dynamic mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of housing materials for outdoor polymeric insulators

The present paper reports the results about a study of mechanical, thermal, dynamic mechanical and electrical properties of housing (weather shed) materials for outdoor polymeric insulators. Silicone rubber, ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) and alloys of silicon-EPDM are known polymers for use as housing in high voltage insulators. The result of dynamical mechanical measurement shows that the storage modulus of blends enhances with increase EPDM in formulation. It can be seen from the result of TGA measurement that initial thermal degradation of silicone rubber improves by the effect of EPDM in blends. The blends of silicone-EPDM show good breakdown voltage strength compared to silicone rubber. Surface and volume resistance of silicone rubber improve by EPDM content. The mechanical properties of EPDM such as strength, modulus and elongation at break improve by silicone.     

Semiempirical Molecular Orbital Studies of the Acylation Step in the Lipase‐Catalyzed Ester Hydrolysis

In this study, we present the results from the semiempirical molecular orbital calculations for the acylation step in the lipase‐catalyzed ester hydrolysis. The results reveal that the lowest energy path for the formation of the tetrahedral intermediate is for the serine residue of the catalytic triad to attack the substrate, followed by coupling heavy atom movement and proton transfer. The calculations of four active site models show that the cooperation of the aspartate group and the oxyanion hole is capable of lowering the activation energy by about 16 kcalmol^?1. Our results further suggest that the lipase‐catalyzed ester hydrolysis adopts the single proton transfer mechanism.     

Titania membrane preparation with chemical stability for very hash environments applications

The high-quality tubular titania MF membranes are successfully prepared by dip-coating techniques and systematically investigated with regard to their corrosive resistances. The experiments show that dispersants PAA and anatase powder were preferably employed to prepare desired suspensions with solid loading 10–15 wt.% and that suspensions properties significantly affect the final membranes quality. The titania MF membranes with pure water permeability 742.42 l m⁻² h⁻¹ bar⁻¹ and 0.1 μm pore diameter have been obtained using the prepared suspensions. The corrosion resistance of titania membranes exhibits that the anatase layers are more stable than the alumina supports in boiling corrosive medium and that the poor quality titania MF membranes become more deteriorated due to its top layer pore blockages and fouling layer formation, which provides a wide range of practical application fields in very hash environments with reliable data supports.     

Synthesis of 2′-O-[2-[(N,N-dialkylamino)oxy]ethyl]-modified oligonucleotides: hybridization affinity, resistance to nuclease, and protein binding characteristics

Synthesis of a series of 2′-O-[2-[(N,N-dialkylamino)oxy]ethyl]-modified 5-methyluridine nucleoside phosphoramidites and solid supports are described. Using these monomers, modified oligonucleotides containing phosphodiester linkages were synthesized in high yields. These modified oligonucleotides showed enhanced binding affinity to the complementary RNA (and not to DNA) and excellent nuclease stability with t_1/2>24 h. The human serum albumin binding properties of modified oligonucleotides have been evaluated to assess their transport and toxicity properties.     

青霉素G钾盐在CTAB胶束中的水解及其抑制

以紫外光谱法研究了青霉素G钾盐(Pen-K)在十六烷基三甲基溴化铵（CTAB）胶束体系中的水解反应, 并探讨了水解反应机理.结果表明, CTAB胶束对Pen-K的水解具有抑制作用; Pen-K在CTAB胶束体系水解时,体系pH值的变化与在水中相似, 表明H＋浓度对这种抑制作用影响较小.红外光谱和微极性研究表明,部分Pen-K钾盐定位于CTAB胶束栅栏层中, 增加了其稳定性.     

高分子药物研究Ⅰ．5－氨基水杨酸与二元羧酸缩聚物的合成

通过５－氨基水杨酸与二元羧酸进行缩聚反应，合成了六种主链含有５－氨基水杨酸的高分子化合物，用红外光谱和元素分析确定了聚合物的结构。聚合物水解实验表明，它们在酸性、中性和碱性介质中均能水解，水解速率（ｒ）的大小依次为ｒｐＨ＝１３．０＞ｒｐＨ＝７．０＞ｒｐＨ＝２．０。
